On a post earlier this week about a man who lost his virginity at 37 to a prostitute, many in the comments who were blue leaning or feminist leaning applauded it and encouraged more men in the same situation to use prostitutes to get sex. I just wonder how they can support that when sex work inherently promotes misogyny and objectifies women, doesn't that conflict with their worldview?

I mean, sex work literally objectifies women, they are services or products(porn) when women are the sexual commodity. Like the difference between a sex slave and a prostitute is literally that with a prostitute you're just renting them vs. buying. And the rebuttal I always hear for this is usually to demonize the buyer, but make every excuse for the seller. Which makes no sense, and we actually use the opposite argument for drugs, i.e. demonize the suppliers but don't criminalize the users and actually try to help them.

Just think about these men that you're encouraging to go this route, their only point of reference for women in society will be sex work, because these will be the only women they share somewhat of an intimate connection with, other than their mom or maybe a sister, because these types of men obviously don't have female friends, and they're not close with female co workers and colleagues. They're literally going to see women in society as sex objects, because almost all of the women they see, whether on a screen or in a hotel, are just for the purpose of relieving themselves, just holes. How can you expect this group of men to care about or empathize with women in society, or women's issues, etc. They won't.

And you know what? Ironically a certain pill shares the same sentiment (the other BP), this is what many of them say, that you should just pay for play, that its not worth to pursue real relationships, or that real relationships don't even exist. At least with TRP and PUA, you are required to empathize with these women, because you have to understand their psychology to get women, and go on dates with them.
