It's not even that they 'don't consider men discriminated against' here. It's that they don't consider it to even be possible for men to be discriminated against. In any circumstances.

This is not just blatant misandry. It's a genuine disconnect from reality, masquerading as a valid ideological belief system.

It mirrors the belief that everyone belonging to an ethnic minority is wholly incapable of being racist, just because the demographic in general is disadvantaged.

Simplified blanket statements like this are harmful and unnecessary.

I understand not wanting to doxx this person and that your main point is about the male loneliness epidemic, but this is nothing short of genocide denial from a person with, ironically, a Palestinian flag in their bio.

Genocide can take different forms. In some cases, the perpetrators will target everyone (man, woman, child) in a group for killing. Think the Holocaust and its gas chambers, or the Rwandan genocide. In other cases, the men (really, any male that poses a physical threat) are killed first or only, with women being taken into sexual slavery. Think Srebrenica/Bosnia ethnic cleansing, but also the Armenian genocide (men were killed first before women and children led on death marches into the desert) or the Yazidi genocide by ISIS. I supported and looked up to Amnesty International all throughout college. I have a pink badge from them which I got when I took part in a peaceful protest relating to gay men being arrested and killed in Chechnya, Russia.

As much as I want men to be treated fairly. The male loneliness issue is one I’m not familiar with.

In my personal life, me and the men in my group have friends and family. Some are married, some are dating, some are single. But I wouldn’t describe any of them as lonely. And some who just prefer to be on their own most of the time despite us being there for him whenever he needs us.

I do acknowledge my personal bias makes this a blindspot for me though. But I have trouble trying to visualize what this issue is.

Is it really a portion of the male population who don’t have friends, family and romantic relationships? And is it by choice or not?

I’d appreciate if someone knowledgeable on this could educate me.
