You don't really seem to understand the difference between attraction and the completely different "getting together as a couple" A lot of men want to fuck most woman, with absolutely no regard to the actual individual, they are not interested in relationships.

Sure, AF BB is a strategy that works for women if their goal is to have fun at their 20s and still have someone when they are older.

I question the "happy and successful" part.

I think this is very much multifactorial. Depends on a woman's looks, her personality, her life stability, where she lives, the male pool where she lives, her work/lifestyle habits, who she comes into contact with on a regular basis, etc.

I am sure you can find MILFs in bars dating, getting men to buy them drinks, etc. And some of them are dating attractive men, for a while. Most of them are divorced and hating it. Most of them want relationships with attractive men but can't get them. Most of them will settle for relationships with unattractive men.

Sure, a MILF can get a Chad for sex, but she has to pay. This is excruciatingly humiliating for her, particularly since she was once a hot chick and had men paying HER for her attentions.

Many marriage-minded high-RMV men will be "taken off the market" early, usually by someone they meet in college. So if a woman wants to marry such a man, riding the CC is not an optimal strategy. Sure middle age women can usually find a sex partner fairly easily if they've taken care of themselves. However, there are two reasons this doesn't undermine RP theory. First, most middle aged women haven't taken care of themselves and cannot pull anything near a Chad. Second, even if she is a "MILF" who can access the sexual services of good looking younger guys it's highly unlikely that these guys will commit to her. I don't believe these men are functional and I will argue that they MUST be less happy than they'd be single and LESS happy than they'd be with a monogamous partner. Their acceptance of such conditions must come from a sense of helplessness or inability to find a better life for themselves.

Plainly speaking, riding the CC doesn't seem to exert pressure AGAINST one's capacity to settle down, but maybe develop a sense of omnipotence and entitlement to sexual validation and fulfillment, "nothing can stop me from doing what I want because I am capable of it by myself", which isn't such a grave issue nor that ubiquitous among CC ridden women.
The mechanics that seem to cause it are slightly different.
While riding the CC women are NOT developing the traits that would eventually make them good partners for valuable men. Unsurprisingly they'll find themselves unable to have good men as partners, and they'll have to declare somewhat gullible men that are shame-able into committing (by them or society) as "good", when they aren't exactly their first picks.
BUT it's not actually difficult to be a good partner for a guy. Being a good partner to women requires thought and consideration, a balance between compliance, demand and denial, not very subtle and hard to get but rarely intuitive. Being a good partner to a guy is usually just saying "yes" enough, mainly if he's one who can support the lifestyle he wants by himself, "valuable". A CC ridden chick might figure this out and just do. It'll work. She'll be a good partner.

Okay, you saw attractive older women at a bar, and in an online article. It also sounds like confirmation bias.

My question is, what percentage of the total population of older women do you think that represents? Like, how far away from the fat part of the bell curve do you think those particular women are?

Have you ever looked at obesity statistics? Particularly for women over 40? That alone should tell you what you witnessed was far outside the norm. And it would be absurd to draw a generalized conclusion based on a bunch of clear outliers.
