I got to thinking after looking through this thread. Granted, that's a pretty left-leaning feminist sub with anti-male circlejerk tendencies, yet I couldn't help but be surprised by the sheer venom being spewed at those unfortunate guys who dare bother a woman by approaching while she's wearing headphones.

Now you may agree or disagree that that's an inappropriate thing to do, but it led me to think of the bigger issue - there seem to be so many complaints these days about men being "creepy", losers, harassing women, etc. Their intentions don't even matter, by expressing interest in women in an "unacceptable way" (to be determined by whoever's doing the judging) they are automatically creeps.

And yet, in most Western societies, men are still expected to approach and initiate everything 90% of the time when it comes to dating. As a man, you have to put yourself out there. If you don't, you will be alone forever, because most girls/women simply will not initiate anything. They have that luxury, men do not. With this in mind, isn't everyone being a bit hasty to judge and paint all guys as "creeps" just because some of their strategies might not be as pleasant as others?
