This is in South Korea and is designed for women because:

They can be pregnant and need extra room
They believe women need extra space for parking with children too.
As is usual in South Korea, people park in front of parked cars with their handbrake off so it can be moved. Generally speaking, women are less inclined to do that or be able to move the cars. In the women only parking areas, no one can park in front of the already parked cars.

This is so stupid on so many levels. First of it is plain and simple discrimination, in the sense that it is sexsist. You are allowing certain sexes to use certain spaces and not allow the other sexes to use those spaces, very simply sexist. Change it to black and white or vice versa and we again have sergation and or apartheid.

Second the rational might be that this is safer for women since parking garages are scary places for women cause they can get raped there. This ofcourse does happen but the fear is mostly unjustified, in the sense that the odds of getting raped in a well lid parking garage are quite slim. And I always argue if you are scared of something then other people are not there to take your fears away this is something you should try to do yourself but that aside. If this is indeed the argument (its for the saftey of the women), then it is very very very very stupid. If you were are rapist and they just made a clear area which you know only females park where would you go to to pick your target? Even more so if you attacked a women in that space changes are that there will be no men to stop you (since there are only women there). So if you get caught you can probabbly make a run for it since most women are not capable of restraining a men without the help of weapons. And thirdly it again wides the trust issues the sexes have for eachother. Women once again will be presented with the idea that they need to fear men and that all men are potential rapists. Allthough this might be true in its essence (according to the same logic, every person is a potential murderer) its not a good way to be in todays society.

Then thirdly, who is gonna enforce this and if so are you gonna let transgender women park her or not? Again a perfect example how the leftist politics are eating up eachother. Feminism and transgender progressives will probabbly have to fight about this one aswell.
