Just a quick story: I used to work with this guy who had a crush on a girl who worked in the same building. He was pretty good with ladies and even was "spinning plates" from time to time. He started a dating a girl who was a complete pick-me. She bought him gifts, cooked for him when she was over, bought shit for his son, etc etc. She was a good looking girl but a bit insecure. So their relationship was ok from what I could observe. They were exclusive but I don't think they had a relationship status discussion. One day the guy somehow gets to know his crush at the cafeteria. He is all excited, telling people about this girl. Long story short, he gets his crush to like him and takes her on a date. He dumped his gf almost immediately. The new girl is not terrible but definitely nothing like the ex. She bosses him around sometimes, gets mad, expects going out to eat instead of cooking, etc etc. He is in love with her and does everything she wants. Men keep pickmes until they meet their dream-girl.

The only incentive I can create is to reward those behaviors in my own partner.

Men don't act as a group or a collective so I doubt men in general are going to do anything to reward pick me behavior. Individual men that value said behavior will.

The only reason I don't marry miss moral (other than the law being bullshit but I can't change that) is because not even her is willing to bring enough to the table or be enough of a pick me to bring a value that is equivalent to half of everything I own and everything I will ever make.

It isn't impossible for her to bring said value, but she doesn't want to. And I understand why she wouldn't want to. It is too much.

Persistence and being attentive can be attractive but desperation isn't ever attractive. Pick Mes usually come across as desperate.

I just ended a "friendship" last night. This girl reached out to me on a group chat and said she wanted to talk, so we moved over to snapchat and have been talking just about every day for 3 weeks. I've been flirting with her nearly the entire time, and she didn't really make any explicit effort to say "Hey, I'm not interested in you." She told me that she wasn't really interested in anyone right now (bullshit) and that she's just focusing on her career, yet she flirts back with me so I'm like "hmmmmm...... interesting." Fastforward to about a week later and she sends me a video talking about some other dude and I'm like "Wait a minute.. something's not adding up here."

Long story short, I spoke with her last night and she subtly communicated to me that she wasn't interested and only wanted to be friends. I ended that because it's not really fair that she gets to enjoy the benefits of a relationship without the sexual investment. The kicker in all of this: She said she tends to attract "assholes" that she apparently doesn't like, yet has no problem finding them. Weird, right?

I'm wagering that a good portion of those "pick mes" are like this.

They reward everything but, because most men don’t actually like pick mes. They leave them because pick me women make them feel smothered or like they’re abusing the woman.

The men who do like them and who do stick around tend to be abusers because they like having someone they can mistreat who’ll never stray.

Men want a girl to be a slave for their desires but to get away with it, they either shame women as in "I want a good female partner, you are bad" but what they want is her to be a slave for their desires.

There’s absolutely no truth to your conception that men treat pick-me’s badly. The ones you’re thinking of are pick-me’s who are trying to punch well above their weight. Trying to get a 1 percentile Chad to settle down with a 5 because she bakes cupcakes for him is obviously not gonna work.

But in general pick me behavior coupled with low or no body count is a great dating strategy and would enable a woman to marry up at least a point in sexual market value.
