It's sad because this really makes sense to many women. They fail to realize that men of any worth see themselves as also a prize. To find a good partner isn't even costing women directly. Because men typically pay for the actual date.

Women like her assumume men's time isn't worth anything and they're doing a man a favor by simply entertaining a date. A man that is worth dating is also a person, who also works, who is also established, who is attractive to other women, who has options.

If women could only get "free" dates with unemployed, short, unattractive men they would understand it as it i what happens today but to go on a date with attractive, tall, wealthy men, women had to pay this would shift their mind into the reality that the "desirable" men aren't going to be the ones begging for a date.
