In the United States, female genital cutting is rightfully criminally prohibited, but male genital cutting is sanctioned by the government. The US government does not care about upholding the law and social contract in order to protect defenseless baby boys from being strapped down like farm animals and having functional, erogenous tissues needlessly ablated off their penises. While this may not be the government "controlling" male bodies in the explicit sense, they are still permissive of males having their genital integrity stolen from them. The functions of the foreskin and the adverse effects of circumcision

The foreskin has several functions and accounts for most of the sensitivity of the penis.

The normal glans is an internal structure, only exposed briefly during urination, washing, and sexual arousal. Its surface is moist and is not keratinised. However, circumcision converts the glans into an external organ. Immediately after the operation, it retains its exquisite sensitivity, and contact with clothing causes considerable discomfort, but it soon becomes desensitised, probably as a result of the laying down of a layer of keratin on the epithelium. A few circumcised men report persistent discomfort from contact with clothing throughout their lives. The epithelium takes on the character of skin instead of a mucous membrane.

Dale and Jordan go out for drinks, after an hour or so Dale is feeling very woozy and says they have to go home.

Dale is very upset and decides to go to the police to file a report of sexual assault.

1) Will the police (part of the government machine) act differently if Dale is male.

2) Will the prosecutor's office (also part of the government) react differently if Dale is male.

So a while later, Dale finds out a pregnancy has occurred as a result of that sexual assault.

Does Dale have more, less or the same legal rights given to then by the government if Dale is Male in allowing Dale to decide if they want to be a parent, or if they want to be responsible for that child?

Literally all criminal laws are ways in which the government controls a man's body far more than it controls a woman's, since it's indisputed that men are more likely to be found guilty and when found guilty, are punished much more harshly than women.

A tangent to your point:

Biden is not President-elect and Harris is not VP-elect.

Firstly, the Electoral College vote won't happen until December 14th (only after which the *elect title could be applied).

Secondly, there are still several judicial, legislative, and electorial processes that are currently ongoing which need to be finalized before the State votes are officially finalized.

Thirdly, the Press and Media do not officiate an election. They can make an assumption as to which candidate might have won, ie 'call the election', but they don't have any actual power to dictate who is the winner.

The debate isn't about women's bodily autonomy and never was. Both republicans and democrats believe women should be able to do whatever they want with their body. The debate is about abortion. Bodily autonomy is but one facet of that debate. For example, no on is arguing (in the USA ) about clothing and piercings in legislative terms.. the argument is about a fetus' right to life. There's a lot of grey area here outside of hard line positions. I think most americans believe in early abortion but opposite late term abortion for example.

I'm for abortion so if you want to just read imaginary beliefs into my comments then you can stop now. Sleight of hand is sleight of hand is sleight of hand.

That being said, I always found the hardline stance on bodily autonomy in relation to abortion interesting. It's essentially as right and "don't tread on me" as you could get but championed by the left. It's was even the position of Ayn Rand. It's essentially saying "Even if the fetus is a human being, it has no right to live if it can only live using my body".
