Happy Fathers Day gents. I have a 2 and 4 year old, both high energy. I have a full day of zoo, bike ride w/ burley, park, walk to ice cream stand, tractor ride and then pizza + movie.

My goal is to run them into the ground and I will not be defeated.

Sadly working my second job until 4 so I can manage paying the bills on a single income. Positive side is, it's at a brewery. Positive 2, I get my son after work and have him all day tomorrow even though it's normally her days.

We did fathers day yesterday. Went on a horseback ride, had tacos and watched the new super Mario Brothers movie. It was a great day! My kids gave me huge hugs right before bed and they told me how much they love me.

I pressure washed the east side of my house yesterday. Gonna restain the siding today, in preparation for attaching a mini-split on that side. My kid has allergies, and I think the system will help, particularly during smoky or high-pollen times.

I don't get to see her until Tuesday, but by then, I should be able to show her the improvements and a projected date for us to have A/C.

First Father's day without my stbxw,(ILUBINILWU), and step daughter. And sons I haven't been able to see in 16 years.. stbxw moved out the day before I left town to go hang with friends and parents for Father's day/birthday.

Sorry to spoil the mood. Wanted to take my son to see farm animals setup in town. Stbx reminded me how all i did for mothers day was wish her and give her a kiss. Then made a scene later about how i just sit around and do nothing while she had to clean on mothers day (she doesn’t. She gets in a cleaning “zone” once a month and complains about how messy it is) most of the days i clean and hold the fort with absolutely no support from her. I do the laundry, load the dishes, run the vacuum, take the garbage out after work. She neither cooks anything for me nor cleans anything of mine. I had a break down cuz on one sunday i sat down on the couch thinking its fathers day and was having my coffee and hell broke loose in the house. I don’t stay in my home country and literally have no one here to rant and cry. I have a 2 year old and i broke down when i saw him today cuz soon i might only see him half the time and i dunno how that will affect him.

I've been waiting to receive a call from my teenagers. Only one so far at 2 pm, to be told he planned on seeing me next week (even though he lives with his mother 10 minutes away and has a license). Nothing from the others. I'm so irritated and simultaneously hurt.

First fathers day post divorce and it sure didn’t disappoint in the highs or lows. 5 yr old and 1.5 yr old girls Only divorced dad i know so far, so everyone got their instagram tribute post and i didnt realize how much i liked them or felt left out or… idk what. Remembered social media is fake as shit and made my own tribute to myself and for myself— called pictures. I didnt need the validation of putting it out for everyone to see and have looked over them and smiled all day. Had a glorious 10 mile bike ride w trailer along an awesome paved path in CT. at the end there was a farmers market, we got “hug stones” to remember were always thinking of each other. Ate by a river, went swimming in the cold pool at my condo complex but they didnt mind. Full of fun and smiles until drop off an hour ago. Fuckin hurts. It hurts a lot, every time you think of how much harder life and kid’s life is bc of her. It hurts losing a piece of you half the time. Constant identity switching from fun dad -all action all the time to numb single middle aged guy. She text happy fathers day at 7:30am. Wanted to write something like youre the last person on the fucking planet i want to hear that from. But remembered Im sane and just said thanks. We all deserve a better hand in our one life than this…. But thankful as hell for the highs and knowing the lows arent as low as they once were. Knowing these lows will be the lowest and next fathers day will be even better. Traumas a real bitch, but nothing to do about it. Press on. Went camping with my 9yo, we hiked yesterday and attempted to summit a 14er today. Sadly, we got to the top and she got a little too scared by the ice and exposure, but, wants to try again sometime soon!

Recently separated (June 2nd) and spiraling.

Father’s Day was really damn difficult. I spent it with my dad who’s years may be numbered and my two young sons. I was wrestling with feeling abandoned by my ex the whole day. Normally we’d do stuff just the 4 of us. But that doesn’t exist anymore.

Mainly just getting this off my chest, but if any of you have advice I’m all ears. Gym works ok for self-care until I leave. Taking hugs from my great sons where I can get them, but I’m a mess. They can’t carry my sadness. They are in decent spirits, but need their dad right now.

Woke early to coffee. When kids got up we went for bagels. On the way we started talking about the movie “Diary of a wimpy kid” Went home and watched it and forgotten how funny it was. After we watched Ted Lasso and in it they were eating kabobs, so of course when it ended we got kabobs. The watched “We’re the Millers. Great day.

Mothers day usually 2 hours in a restaurant and the kids are back.

I took my kids to an overly expensive burger and milkshake place, then had to give them back to mom. I cried the whole drive home.
