Also- I noticed on Facebook messenger (I know that’s not OLD but still) it offers “Secret Conversation.” Social media makes it easier for cheaters to cheat. It’s honestly sickening.

As a woman, I used this feature so that I didn't get a bunch of low quality matches to have to wade through. I wanted the pool of men who could see my profile to consist only of those who met my baseline standards. So it can be used legitimately. But I can definitely see how men could use it to cheat as well. :(

As a woman who isn’t cheating, that feature could be useful! No more creepy guys finding me on FB and / or LinkedIn after I swipe left on them. Although I guess if everyone has this selected then nobody will be able to swipe on anybody.

Ok, completely agree how this could be used for cheating and it is a scary thought.

Counter point, features like this are the only way I can use dating apps without my abusive ex finding or threatening me.

These apps make people, especially women, vulnerable if you aren't able to control who can see your dating profile.
