Haha sounds like my ex. I asked for a separation and then a divorce. But first I asked him to get checked for having inattentive ADD. He did and he hit the markers, but he decided our marriage wasn't important enough to see someone about it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He probably still thinks I'm a bitch who gave up on him, but I'm sorry, I did not sign up to mother a grown ass man. I knew my marriage was over when, after multiple times of asking my husband to do a simple task (take the car in for a repair), I broke down and just asked why he never seemed to be able to do the things I asked him to do.

Ha! My ex had ADD too. Refused to do a single thing about it and even said it had never affected his life or relationships negatively when I confronted him about how it was effecting our relationship negatively (understatement to say the least). Dumped him after everyone told me to do more and help him more but no one cared about me and how I was suffering, but mainly made up my mind after finding an ADD spouse forum with a thread asking “if you had to do it all over again would you stay with him?” and 100% of the women said “no way”.

Punks making us ADDers/ADHDers look bad... the meds dont always work, I have on and off days BUT!! I definitely get treatment for my ADD. I just have to work on myself.. I am more comfortable knowing that I'm treated than use it as an excuse for everything.

I blame their mothers for enabling them. They haven't learned nor are they caring enough. Stop doing shit for him! I stopped doing my husband's laundry. I understand occasional laziness, or different levels of tidiness - I can be occasionally messy/not as tidy as I know I should be. Sometimes my husband does the dishes in a way that I consider inefficient, or, like, chops vegetables "weird".
