If we're going this route, wouldn't it just be easier to replace men instead? You'd only need to coax one cell to behave as sperm cell, and that's it. They're actually already trying to do this with skin cells for infertile couples. No need for a fake womb that must safely grow trillions of cells, synthetic breast milk, a weird android that must fully understand childcare, etc.

Plus we'd see the added bonus of a dramatic reduction in rape, child molestation, murder, war, and all around destruction and exploitation of every ecosystem. Literally solve all the problems that keep us up at night trying to figure out a solution to.

As someone who works in STEM, unfortunately a lot of guys do have the mindset that female robots will take over real women in the future. However it is a quite pleasant way to weed out LVMs/NVMs with natural selection so I couldn't care less.

Ironically, the future I see for men is that they are going to render themselves near-irrelevant to society within the next two to three centuries, and it will be mostly (not entirely, thanks to automation killing a lot of traditional blue-collared male jobs, but mostly) their own fault. It will take a little longer to unfold in ultra-conservative, deeply patriarchal nations of course, but I genuinely believe it's the path we are headed for.

Women are entering and completing higher education in record numbers, while male enrollment is stagnating and even decreasing in some regions. Women globally are realizing the importance of financial independence, meanwhile men seem to be losing interest in being true providers for anyone, including themselves. That's a major reason to associate with them...gone. Friendship? I have other women around me for that. Physical protection? There are numerous self-defence weapons and martial arts to choose from (though hopefully this will become less needed over time). Sexual pleasure? For less than the cost of one date night out you can purchase a toy that will please you far more effectively than the average male today, with none of the negging and unpleasant health and safety risks. I have practically no reason to associate with them anymore, outside of needing a sperm donation if I want to birth and raise children.

Having us start to work en masse outside the home during the World Wars was just the beginning of their downfall IMO.
