They like younger women because they haven't seen the real face if men. This is because they want to manipulate them however they want. I remember when a guy was hitting on me and when I told him my age, he frowned and literally walked away. I look 20-21, my age is 29.
[–]Pretend_Door2038 88 points89 points90 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I also want to say this guy who creeped on me and picked me up at my job I came back to just to see if I was wrong the first time around and he absolutely disgusted me as a now grown woman. Lol 22 vs 29 year old me really notices a lot more. It is absolutely about manipulative behavior.

Yep. What guys don't realise is how their young girlfriends will wake up when they move into their mid to late 20s. These guys are only impressive to girls who are not critical.

This is absolutely why it a cultural fetish and not some bs biological fetish they always claim in defence. They like the symbolic age and they only want that control and taboo

Thank you for saying this. I hate when they say it’s a biological thing but I had no idea how to respond besides having ?????? conveyed across my face

A great evidence is that it’s safer to give birth at 25+ than 24, 22, 18 or whatever illegal age men fantasize about. Your body isn’t strong enough to carry children at 16, it’s grooming disguised as biology.

“Millie Bobby Brown is reportedly “taking action” against Hunter “Echo” Ecimovic after the TikToker alleged during a recent livestream that he engaged in sexual acts with the “Stranger Things” star.
“Mr. Ecimovic’s remarks on social media are not only dishonest but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful,” the 17-year-old actress’ reps told TMZ on Tuesday. “Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all.”
Earlier this week during the livestream, which has been reposted in part on YouTube, Ecimovic, 21, responded to a comment that said, “Imagine being a grown adult and dating a kid” with “I know, I groomed her.”

EW EW YIKES. Not this pedophile slut-shaming a literal CHILD in public. And he’s proud of what he did?! What the actual F-CK. And what is her family even doing? Do they care at all about Millie’s safety & well-being? It’s so irresponsible on their part to not protect her from predators.

Do they care at all about Millie’s safety & well-being
Nah, you can already hear that Millie has internalized the grooming by the things she says. .
She says she feels overprotected, that people don't see her as a woman, that people still see her as a kid, that when she enters relationships or does sexy photoshoots people are all upset.
She is a kid and surrounded by people trying to convince her she should embrace grown-up sexuality.
I shudder to think what kind of roles they'll give her when she turns 18. I'm still boycotting GoT for basically rewriting the story to get a just-turned-18 actress naked but everyone, women included, cheered that the fuck on.
Everyone who hands over their kids to work with adults and then doesn't make sure to constantly monitor them and enable them to have a normal teenage life is basically just selling them to those adults.

I remember being 16 and thinking I looked like an adult, that I was at my absolute peak as a woman.

What a parasite. Scrotes literally have no problem gold-digging a child. He’s not even ashamed of grooming her, he’s proud of it! Look everyone, a young girl slept with me! And she paid the bills! I bet red pillers think of him as a Chad whatever that means ☠️🤡 So so gross.
[–]Bitter_Froyo_6742FDS Newbie 61 points62 points63 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Her parents let her go into acting as a child. They never prioritized her safety. Pretty much every adult child star has said that having a parent on set only protects you from going over hours or breaking contract, it doesn't protect you at all from grooming and stuff. A lot of times the parents themselves don't really understand (Britney spears original handler is a great example of well meaning adult who was just completley in over their head. She didn't even understand Hollywood, let alone how to protect Britney from it)
Unfortunately this shit is really common there. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who's been there longer than a decade who doesn't reflect their gross "age is just a number" ideas.

I did do a little searching and it looks like she's actually with a 19 yo though they haven't made it official yet.

This shows you how men’s minds work. As an almost 30 year old man what do you have in common with a teenager? Right. It’s not the girl it’s the position of power. When I was in my very early 20s, my LVX (50) went after another young girl shortly after me. So she was “special, mature, different than the others” too I guess? Pfft.
eta: the amount of butthurt men in my replies is a whole kiiii 😂 and they’re getting blockt with the quickness too. Thanks mods! I said wtf I said!!!

This family Guy clip (20 secs get the point across) touches on that, scrote logic😂
"At a quick glance I would guess there's a 26 year age difference between the two of you. Not quite old enough to raise eyebrows while still giving you a younger mind to shape."
My ex used to get so mad when I joked with him that he was like that😂

God the Olivia Rodrigo one is awful she legit just released a song about getting her drivers licence and you are 24 dude I mean cmon .......................
Like let's look at their main defences
- age does not matter, anyone who is a slightly older age can see it does. Im billies age and can see that yes it does matter I would never date someone who was recently 17.
- She is mature, Olivia is talented successful and inspiring but she is not mature and she does not have to be, she will shine much brighter as she grows into her own and when she reaches 24 I can't imagine she would feel the same as she does now.
- She looks mature. She does not if anything she looks a bit younger than her age around 16. She has a whole high school centred album with very teenage leaning themes.
Overall this 24 year old is a creep I bet I'll think he's an even bigger creep when Im his age.
[–]AntiqueGhost13FDS Newbie 42 points43 points44 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Agreed! Her youth becomes apparent when you hear her singing about getting her driver's license and listening to Billy Joel as if that's a rarity. I'd feel like an absolute creep pursuing a teenager.
I've been reflecting on these pairings recently, and it's disappointing and disturbing. Grooming is so prevalent in Hollywood, and it sets a bad example for ordinary folks. I'm glad people are becoming more aware and critical of it, but there's still way too many people whose argument lacks nuance, like you pointed out.
[–]thatjimmyloveFDS Newbie 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
exactly there are so many markers of youth around her and I just wish men would let her be that way and not take advantage of it.
I dont get how men feel comfortable being with someone so young and. at that so clearly young and shows her age.
I would feel so uncomfortable

I’ve been seeing a lot of comments on Twitter defending this shit it’s exhausting but we gotta look at some points here. Sorry in advance, I have a lot of opinions on this and so this may get lengthy.
Firstly this is not Billies first age gap relationship, having one with a 20+ year old. In her documentary he is literally at attendance at her 17th birthday. He has anger issues and used her to get free coachella tickets among other things. Now she’s dating an almost 30 year old dude (with a history of making weird and violent remarks about women lol) and some people may say ‘well I’m sure she’s mature enough’, how can you be mature when you’re on tiktok getting upset by someone saying you’re in your flop era and responding saying you have bigger boobs than them…okay….
Olivias album literally shows immature teenage views of men, love, relationships and self esteem. As it should because she is a teenager who doesn’t have the life experience outside of school to know what real relationships are. A lot of the songs on her album reflect this men pleasing narrative we’re sold at a younger age and have to unlearn when we’re older.
Millie was literally 16 when she dated this guy who was what 20 at the time, moved in with him for 8 months. Now he’s on Instagram live talking (more like bragging) about how he groomed a child and also talking about her sexually by saying such comments like ‘that child can suck d*ck’ (may not be the actual quote but it is certainly along the lines). Do men even hear themselves?? probably not bc the sound of their dick throbbing probably clogs their ears.
Also interesting to note that Drake privately had been texting both Billie and Millie… fucking weird.
Now I wanna start by saying why are their parents, team, friends, family not protecting them? As a parent how can you even stand by and allow that for your teenage child? I wouldn’t even allow it for my sisters. And it’s exhausting reading Twitter comment after comment going ‘well women mature faster than men’. Yeah bc we’ve been groomed and harassed and humiliated and sexualised our entire lives!!! That maturity comes from trauma!!! And the ‘older men have their shit together’ narrative. Like fuck they do! Why do I know men in their 30’s who can’t cook, clean, let alone wipe their ass properly. And also as a 24 year old I am not looking at 16-19 year olds going damn I wanna smash that, I look at them and think they’re still children??
Fighting this predatory bullshit is like an endless battle and it’s disheartening to see so many women believe there is nothing wrong with this or even acknowledging the power dynamic at the very least. I hate that modern libfem has gotten us to this point where well known girls are with gross predators and no one bats an eye.
[–]MarleySB 70 points71 points72 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is so gross. I developed young and started getting attention from grown men as a 12-13 year old. My parents wouldn't let me date anyone luckily, though I was boy crazy. I still remember being 18 and working as hostess at a restaurant where I had huge crushes on the older bartenders and waiters who were in their 20s. "Bless them" for being "good guys". They used to tease me by saying things like "when I was in school learning fractions, you were a fetus!" It made me mad, but I now even more respect them for setting boundaries and not being predators to the younger staff. This was not the case in other work situations. It shouldn't be such a low bar.

I wish I could tell these girls how much of your teens and 20s it ruins dating older men. At 28 with a 32 year old bf I don't feel much difference but being with 30 year olds in my early 20s ruined everything for me. I would do anything to go back.

I'm 27 now, and holy shit I can feel how different I am from when I was 20/21/23. It's like feelings are just a teensy weensy blunted now, which makes them not be so all consuming. I'm a lot more secure in my identity and values, and I don't get swept into my feelings quite as often (I'm neurodivergent and mentally ill, so I'm still a mess. But way better than before)

They need to take responsibility & realise older men are just older manipulators. A lot of time’s their mothers / fathers / friends have warned them.
A lot of young girls get too flattered by older men’s attention. Really the guy just has more money/ years of life on you to manipulate you better.
Older men very much enjoying having the upper hand on a young working class woman too. They know she’ll become financially dependent on him.
It’s just embarrassing when 18 yr olds think a 30yr old man is going to be ‘more mature’. Why’s he not dating women at his own age then...because he’s not mature/ they won’t tolerate him & no he’s not genuine, he’s youth / naivety digging.
Do not date a guy more than 1-3 years older max when young. Besides why waste your youth on these crusty scrotes? Just making their ego sky high & they’re unlikely to take you seriously. Definitely do not get baby trapped by them at 18 cos you will regret it & end up on the breakingmoms sub when his mask drops.
Go get you a nice age appropriate fit young guy. Some of these older guys are 50x more manipulative than the younger ones.

I think you're being overly hard on girls who have been brainwashed since they were 10/11/12. These are victims. It's not their responsibility to not get raped children. That was the men's responsibility, and oh wow what a surprise they failed for the 4,000 year in a row.
Her parents, her handler, her management - they should all be ashamed of themselves. but the 16, 18, and 19 year old girls who have been sexually commodified for as long as they can remember? Not to blame.
I would try to talk sense into these girls if I met them, but I can't pretend I had much more sense in me when I was their age either. The punishment for being naive shouldn't be getting groomed.

A lot of time’s their mothers / fathers / friends have warned them.
Are you kidding me? I was straight up told this was how it was meant to be because men are childish and women "develop faster".
I still hear stories, from my family, how women are sexually mature at 13 so it's really weird that you're not allowed to be attracted to them as an adult.
This isn't just coming from clueless young women, this gets pushed almost everywhere, older women included.

Calm down. I said ‘a lot of times’ not all.
Your family appears to have pedophilic views, I would abandon them on that alone tbh. That isn’t normal parent behaviour. Sounds like they were grooming you. But my mom is a pick me and even she would give me a clip round the ear if I tried dating a 22 yr old man at 15.
You may start your period at 13 etc that does not mean you’re mature enough for relationships/sex, especially with older men. You are still a minor at that age. If anything you are sexually immature and very naive to men . Your brain doesn’t stop developing till 25.
There’s a huge difference in mentality even between a 15yr old and 18yr old.

I got downvoted recently saying something similar on one of the dating subs. It was a sad story about a man in his 50s preying on his girlfriend's (45F) young daughter. Her fiancé stood up for her but at 35 and dating a 21 year old, he was a predator too! The majority of reddit finds this acceptable and one young woman was so belligerent in defending it. It's depressing.

[–]Davina33FDS Disciple 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It really is. They seem to think that once you hit 18, you have all the knowledge you'll ever need and it isn't possible to be taken advantage of by an older man. There were a couple of people who could see sense but one got their comments deleted for their troubles. It's mind boggling.
I wasn't attacking what you said, just the fact that I've never seen warnings, in fact I've seen loads and loads of the opposite, straight up encouragement.
Agreed.
Even the internet famous rule of /2+7, which has its merits, would be okay with a 19 year old dating a 24 year old, which to me is still creepy as fuck.

I have a HVM friend who is a single father and a widow. One day he told me about getting compliments from this 18-19 yo church girl. He was flattered, just told me about feeling good after it. He refused her because she was too young for him. Later he also said it was probably not ok for him to date until his kids were older. So he fits all the stereotypes of a HVM single father(still simps for me tho)

He probably made that story up hoping it would make you flirt with him. It's a common pickup technique to try to elevate your status in a woman's eyes by making it appear other women are interested in you. Like your grandpa probably did it, it's that old of a trick. there's even studies confirming it's a real thing. Although it's probably less motivated by jealously, and more about trusting other women's evaluations of character. Him being desirable to other women signals to you he's probably safe in general and not just putting on act with you.
I bet he was hoping that you would start compliment him. Still high value, but ultimately still a man lolol. Those kids really lucked out getting the dad they did.
