They expect us to do the tasks that have been typically female in the past. Cook, clean, childcare. But they don’t think they should fix things, warn more money, yard work, building; the typical male roles. They want it all while giving little to nothing.

My ex I just broke up with saw anything he did for me as me using him, it was the weirdest thing; under the guise of course, of his ex-wife he “had” to support. Nevermind that three years after moving to the US I have a career in a niche field and am working my ass off to earn a lot. He was at my place once discussing a random 50k bank transfer but I would give him gas money to have him pick me up and had to ask him to invite me to restaurants towards the end since he wanted to eat out so much I didn’t have the budget. Of course I did the whole getting him gifts all the time and I think he once bought me a mug and that was it.

All the guys I’ve met in the US are super tight with money and gifts it’s really weird. Even guy friends or men who were pursuing me back home have given me gifts, which regardless of value, has a beautiful intent of generosity and making you feel special.

I had one ex who made 100k/year. But he was horrible with money and was chronically broke. He was so cheap and would complain if he had to pay for tip at a dinner that I paid for.

My ex after him and my current boyfriend had and have no problem providing and are happy to pay for me.

And somehow working women still end up still doing a majority of domestic work, child rearing, and household maintenance.

Meanwhile a dude can work 20-hours a week, making 50% what she does, but expects to do literally nothing around the house.

Most men should be mailed a monthly bill for services provided. Personal chef, house keeping, childcare, etc.

Perhaps then they could actually value her contributions whether she works outside the home or not.

When I was 19 I had a boyfriend who hated paying for me,with the excuse that he was broke(and yet he always got himself new gaming and computer gears, like top tier expensive shit) so whenever we went out to eat he would take my share when paying cash and hand them to the waiter himself, and when paying with card he would take mine and pretend it’s his, all just to show off in front of the waiters that he was the one paying for us both. It was ridiculous but somehow my old pickme self stayed with him for a few years
