As much as I cringed while reading the article (I think every man on the planet cringed to this story, while not-so-covertly cupping their balls), this story is ripe for parody. I mean, this is the sort of material that standup comics thrive on. What happened to this guy was horrible, and the woman should get thrown under the prison for it... but the idea behind the ordeal is funny for those of us with a darker and irreverent sense of humor.

The thing to do in a situation like this is to be that lone voice who won't shut up, gently and consistently pointing out to people that there is another way to look at this: It's not funny. It's horrible to think of someone being tortured to death. This was murder.

One of these voices is all it takes for a casual reader to form options in their head. The worst thing that can happen in a case like this is for all of the responses to have the same uncaring take on it. It only takes a single dissenting voice to make a reader think.

Well frankly it is a little funny to me. But I find humor in a lot of things that are inappropriate. It doesn't matter to me that it was a man that this happened to. I don't know what the female equivalent to this situation would be but I'm sure I'd entertain that sentiment just the same.

The problem I often see in this sub is the same thing you'll find in the feminism sub; when people read about things like this that happen between members of the opposite sex they automatically make it an issue of gender. What would be the discussion in this thread if it wasn't a woman, but a man, that grabbed the guys balls? The same jokes would be made across the news sites.

I don't know what fantasy world you guys live in where deaths aren't laughed at or made fun of in some fashion. Ever hear of the Darwin Awards? Or even that super shitty TV show 1000 ways to die? Blockbuster movies are made that are filled with death to which laughing at the screen is an acceptable reaction. You guys help to divide rather than unify every time you perpetuate stupid BS like people trolling on news sites.

Hey guys. When I have a female friend that I care about, you know the type. Attractive, small, defenseless, unaware of how to avoid ACTUAL rape, that sort of friend. I have advised certain female friends that this is a very effective form of self defense.

My exact words: "if the guys is just too big, too strong to do anything and you can't run away, relax just enough for them to let their guard down. Grab their balls. CRUSH THEM LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. After 30-60 seconds they will probably die."
