As a mother I can not imagine how people can even conceive of taking children away from a fellow parent, even if that person hurt them. And I sure as hell can not understand how anyone can imagine doing this to their kids.

I have seen people lie to keep kids away from their father (not lies of abuse, but other lies), and now that I read this rationalization of it, I realize that such people have indirectly used the same rationalizations.

Most men will not have any problem throwing the mother of their children under the bus for kicks but God forbid a woman does it to keep her children.

An attorney on the other side is not going to have pity on a mother with children. They want to win the case and will do whatever it takes.

No it means that I know a pissed off husband and a lawyer are not going to show mercy. They will do whatever it takes to win the case lies included.

Again. When men fight dirty they are decent fathers that are doing everything for their children. When women fight dirty they are bad mothers.

There is no fight to win. If there is a divorce how many dads do you see wanting full custody of their children? For any other reason than their dick heads or they mother is unfit. Most mens idea of being a good father is seeing their kids every other weekend. And they still need a baby sitter.

An incredible amount of ignorance. Blanket statements, prejudice, etc.

Here was my response.

My mother did against my father years after they were divorced. She got me to claim abuse against my father and make up stories. Lucky for me and him I was 6 years old and started telling the cops some wild stories and they knew it was BS. It started off with me having a couple bruises from being a kid and playing, then she took me to a doctor to document it. The bruises were from me falling on a playground at preschool but she took it as a way to get my Dad back. My Dad has been a great father and raised me by him self all these years since my moms child support was set at 50 dollars a month that she never even paid.

No matter how much I ever came to hate my husband during a divorce, I wouldn't dream of falsely accusing them of abuse toward my (hypothetical) children. The kids don't need to be scarred for life because their parents couldn't act like something resembling adults. That's just...ugh.

I've seen many divorces. Ones where the chick was the asshole, ones where the dude was, and ones where nobody was the asshole and the people just got an amicable divorce (happens way more than anyone here would care to admit). Shit happens. People are assholes. Women don't come close to cornering the market on any of it. There's as many horror stories about men to give women the same concern about marrying you. Life goes on for everyone.

Being the internet and all I am inclined to believe that sometimes some of these comments could just be made up shit to make the other side look bad.
