A lot of topics discussed on this forum reference how bullying shapes how we identify with our own gender, and the gender of the people around us.

I'm curious: Who here has experienced bullying, either personally or observed? Has it affected how you view/interact your own gender? Has it affected how you view/interact with the opposite gender? Are you more sympathetic to the suffering of others for it, or less?

NOTE: I would like to ask everyone to try very hard to focus on their own experience, and how it affected them personally. I'm NOT interested in exploring "who has it worse". Each person is challenged by the things they uniquely are challenged by. Both male and female bullies exist. And both males and females are targets of bullying. Please be respectful of other people's experiences.
