Misandry is seen as more excusable than misogyny. When a woman expresses a low opinion of men due to experiences of rape and/or domestic violence, many see those feelings as understandable. If a man rants about how he can't trust women because he's been abused by girlfriends/wives/family members or destroyed by the court system, the response is more likely to be: "Grow up and stop judging an entire gender because of one person!"

This isn’t unique to things like TRP and FDS.

Social media and the atomization of social life in general is creating an ever smaller “us” and ever larger “them”

Wokesters, Trumpists, Q-anon, Feminists, Incels etc all deal the same drug: “I am somehow uniquely hard done by and victimized by this specific group.”

You simultaneously get comfort and connection by bonding and commiserating with supposed members of the in-group while feeding your thirst for outrage and hate by focusing on some other group.

Misogyny is only becoming more common among fringe groups like MGTOW. Misogyny is likely decreasing among men as a whole since it’s socially unacceptable to be sexist against women.

Yes. The fact that people congregate online with other people who think like themselves and have the same demographics as themselves seriously nutures extremist views. I've seen plenty of places which are almost entirely male dominated or female dominated that allow for extreme views to go unchecked. Same goes for white people, black people, Republicans, etc. There's no moderating influence when people can say that nastiest shit about another group of people and everyone with either agree or not say anything. And larger groups foster more extreme views because the extremists are always the loudest and most talkative.

Also, with the internet, people dig up the most offensive thing said or done by the opposite sex which can then be used to foster a sense of victimization. If 1 person in a million does something terrible, they can dig it up and talk about it like "this is how those people behave" and act like it's a pattern.

Nothing like this existed in the 1980s before the internet. At worst, you'd have a group of four or five guys or women in the same room talking shit about the opposite sex, but those conditions don't allow for the level of extreme views that the internet allows.

It is. People are lonely, isolated, and pissed. People claim they hate gender roles, but they expect them in their partners, thus nothing changes.

Basically all the current problems in developed countries revolves around social media jealousy and the fact that people say they want to end gender roles, but don't want to be inconvenienced themselves.

The future is pretty bleak tbh.

Depends what you mean by misogyny and misandry. If you mean discrimination and stereotypes about either sex I think a lot of that is going away. If you mean outright hatred and distrust of each other I think the internet has brought a lot of those feelings up and out and now people have anonymity to assemble and make these feelings grow stronger than ever due to the visibility of the internet

The most vocal females screeching about misogyny openly hate men. They feel entitled to hating men, because "men as a gender" or "men as a class" hate, rape, abuse, and kill women. Men. As. A. Women and men have always annoyed each other to some degree. The internet creates a “safe space” where people can commiserate experiences to their heart’s delight.

Nothing FDS says is all that uncommon. I think men here don’t hear how women talk. Meaning men here don’t hang around female spaces and/or they don’t consume female oriented content.

FDS and TwoXX women are on Reddit which is male dominated which means men here, for probably the first time, are being exposed to how “annoyed” women speak among each other.

That’s my take.

Yes, and the inevitable outcome will be war. At the very least, we will collide in the future, and I won't be a traitor to my gender and own interests so I'm going with men if that were to happen.

I kid you not, I spend hours reading FDS and agreeing with a lot of the things they say about us, but I don't agree with with becoming so jaded, resentful and full of themselves that they separate into their own society, that's just an extreme reaction that makes me uneasy. I know pretty much everything about feminism and the dangers and other uncomfortable situations women are put in with a lot of words and attitudes we have, and spot them on the daily too.

But what conclusion do I get from understanding all of this? That yes, they're right. Most men will act a certain way because of our high libido, history, society and education. Liberal feminism somewhat addresses some points and most men can understand it if explained, concessions will be made and they'll get a success here and there being pulled up to men's level... women are already at this point, getting heard a bit more and perhaps changing some people's attitudes.

But radical feminism is fully aware that it's not enough to truly be equal to men if it's just getting pulled up by them in their own game. This is true. To truly be equal to men they'd need to pretty much destroy and rebuild the world. At the very least, they are at odds with our very society's core. All the people in power, all the media we consume (if radical feminism had their way, they'd nuke animation because its foundation is girls being cute, and apparently showing romantic love is a way to keep them down), how attracted we are to young women, the fact that we men believe it's okay to speak offensively but they get all sensitive saying (most accurately) that it just perpetuates harmful ideas...

Truly, this world isn't built on Men and Women equality, almost everything we do clashes with that concept. I wouldn't say it's always harmful, but there's a Patriarchy here. And you either accept living there, embrace liberal feminism and do your best to ignore the unaddressed issues, or you go radical and realize that you need some sort of anarchy revolution to reset the status to 50% and 50% of power, though if it came down to a real physical war they'd probably lose I mean a lot of men are just waiting for their chance to be justified in legally defending themselves and punching annoying women. Radfems outright admit that they believe most of the world's men are Low value and impossible to fix. Learning the truth of "The Matrix" and how stacked the system is to their idea of being a free woman broke them up.

But where was I getting? Ah yes. The War. Men can feel this tension. To them, women are becoming more and more radicalized like soldiers. AND THEY'RE NOT WRONG. Women lost their chance to battle some millenias ago and are now the conquered gender so to speak. But it's just like black people or the natives from America; they were slaves some time ago, now are integrated into society, but the elephant in the room is still there and any day from now they could totally revolt.

Women are in that situation and even knowing all of that I wouldn't like it. So I think it's fine that more men are also radicalizing themselves and opposing their views instead of just rolling in. Cave in to their full demands, and like 80% of Men don't make the cut, same with "problematic music, problematic anime, problematic movies, problematic way of talking ,problematic male gaze" etc.. I really wouldn't enjoy living in that castrated world especially since I'm an artist that's all for drawing anime tiddies. Oh yes, they really hate anime, and try to cancel hentai, and some even think videogames are childish and unnecessary like your old grandma.

Honestly it's no surprise that tension builds up, there's a right cause somewhere in there but it's at complete odds with men, though of course some radical feminists are fine just finding a decent guy for them and settling with him, but if Rad Fems ever became a majority they'd try to change things and at what point do they stop? At some point they'll clash with even the normal, decent guys (by our male standards)

There is a conspiracy theory that gender separatists from the Manosphere are covertly instigating women into hating men - or at least into getting women to spew vitriol against men - in order to facilitate their own agenda of alienating both genders away from each other. They want women to walk away just as the MGTOW are walking away from women so the super secret master plan here is to infiltrate women's circles and instigate hatred against men so that women's overt misandry can serve to Red Pill even more men. This way the Manosphere doesn't need to put out any propaganda or recruiting material, all they do is sit back as average men are berated and burned by angry women causing them to want to seek out those in the Manosphere as a way to regroup against the misandry.

It's genius if you think about it. Instigating women to hate men so that women are the ones who further push men towards radicalization and then the men are justified in being so. I have been indulging in conspiracy theories that is how I came across this one. Out of all the gender conspiracy theories I came across this one made the most frightening sense because it is not that far fetched. Considering the power of the internet all it would really take to pull this one off is a handful of dedicated conspirators on internet platforms to sow the seeds of dissent and hatred and then just nurture the snowball as it rolls down becoming bigger and bigger.

Another crazy conspiracy theory involves women, specifically feminists, and how they plan to take over the world but it's more elaborate and as with all conspiracies the more elaborate ones are usually the most fictitious. If it involves too many moving parts all needing to work in sync with each other then the less likely that such a contrivance is actually going to work in the real world.

In my opinion i would say Misogyny is decreasing in todays society, because back in the day, nobody would have thought about a woman holding high executive positions, and now we have a woman vice president in America, women CEOS, bosses etc.

Men have been in power for years, and it wasn't until 40 years ago when women started catching up. Misogyny was legal back in the day and enforced, but now it's now is decreasing amongst the younger generations. Some countries still have sexist laws, such as women not being able to work in male dominated enviornments and women making less than men.

I have mixed feelings about misandry, it's nothing more than just some utter social media BS. It's not stopping men or women from holding office, getting jobs or being free. Misandry is just vocalized now. Even though i disagree with Misandry, i believe that misandry doesn't hold as much weight, power and influence as misogyny does and there hasn't been any laws prohibiting men from doing things.

I know someone is going to call me some insults for this, but it's true.
