Women get judged no matter what they do. Too masculine, too feminine, too fat, too thin, we can’t win.

We are sick of it and don’t exist to look “pretty” to you.

How do you feel when society expect all these impossible things from men (money/abs/success/full head of hair/etc)?

There's nothing unfeminine about sarcasm--it's a form of wit that's always been traditionally associated with women and gay men--think Dorothy Parker at the Algonquin, or Noel Coward.

That said, most men don't actually like too much femininity beyond a very superficial, appearance-based kind. And given your examples, I suspect the same goes for you.

Performative shallow ornamental femininity was invented by men and forced onto women. It was all fake, and once women have the freedom to be themselves, they drop the performance. It’s dead because it was never alive in the first place, it was a propped up Frankenstein corpse the whole time.

Men hate real natural femininity (see all the complaints about female nature). They hate that women are picky, hard to please, highly social, adaptable, seek to maintain group cohesion, are detail oriented, and verbal. They see feminine behavior and call women slutty/frigid, stuck up, shallow, vain, weak, sentimental, disloyal, gossipy, emotional, nagging bitches.

People should be who they are and not someone else's version of them.

I, like many women, enjoy being feminine. The 1940s style you mentioned? That’s my whole entire wardrobe. I either collect vintage clothing from the 1930s-1950s in my size to wear, or I sew it myself. I enjoy curling my hair, putting on perfume, applying red lipstick and wearing kitten heels. Along with enjoying feminine activities, I also enjoy traditionally “masculine” activities, such as gaming (especially games set in alternate historical time periods, like Wolfenstein or Bioshock), learning about military history, etc.

I also am a feminist.

My friends are not like this. Some wear jeans with oversized hoodies, or yoga pants with a tee shirt, or comfy shorts and a tank top. Some of them swear (I do it too, sometimes, believe it or not!) Some of them wear makeup, some of them don’t. Regardless, just because they aren’t wearing a dress 24/7 and aren’t curling their hair, doesn’t mean they are “trying to act like men.”

They’re proving that there are other ways to exist and be a woman.

That’s not why femininity is dead. It’s dead because a loud minority of self-proclaimed feminists are actually trying to convince everyone that being more like a dude and being with guys that act more feminine to sleep with women is something to be cheered... I honestly think it’s a weird phenomenon where no woman wants this new age feminism BS, but group think makes them aggressively defend it... personally, I love women doing whatever they want with whoever they want. It makes them learn quicker who to filter out... and if they don’t learn quick enough they have to deal with the lifelong consequences... just like men.

What an exaggeration. Femininity is decreasing and women never been so lowed valued (maybe except for prehistory) but is still living.

And it probably will never really die, even if feminists want it dead, they can't go against their people's nature that easily.

Plus, there is always other countries where femininity is relatively better (Brazil is an example).

I find it perplexing how so many feminists suppress their feminine side and accentuate their masculine qualities. Like, shouldn't feminism be a celebration of all that is feminine? It screams 'cognitive dissonance' to me. Or am I missing something?
