Yep. A Becky buxx is basically the girl who has two jobs to pay for all her and her bf/husband's shit while he spends 10 hours a day on porn and video games.

While I don't personally know any dynamics like this it definitely happens. Just see any number of r/relationships posts.

The difference as others have stated though is it's usually the woman who gets fed up an leaves.

Not too often, but yeah.

One of my female friends gave her boyfriend of the time 25K so he could start his own business or some shit like that. He still owes her money.

My current and past girlfriends have been quick to offer me money or spend money on me whenever I expressed some need. I have always kept the balance and the equality, but I could see easily how men could take advantage of their kind hearts given then chance.

I see this IRL all the time. I know of several people that are personally in relationships like that. In all of the instances I currently know, and witnessed in the past, the guy usually isn’t any better looking that the woman. I personally know of instances where the woman was a lot more attractive than the man. None of the instances I can think of involved an insecure plain Jane or unattractive woman with an attractive boyfriend.

There are many reasons it can work out that way. First, a lot of women in their late twenties and up are college educated and making a decent amount of money. Often times, the guy might have started off with a job when the met, and then lost it. Sometimes the woman just earns a lot more.

Another reason that can explain this happening (if the guy is lazy and doesn’t want to work), is if the woman has codependency issues. These types of women assume the “caretaker” role and want to “fix” the men they are with.

You guys seriously need to stop putting women in your ridiculously narrow-minded redpill/incel categories.

My girlfriend makes $30k more than me a year, and her family is also absolutely loaded. Idk why I'd ever dump her though, unless she really really fucked up. I also do pull my own weight. It's not like I'm a lazy leech.

Edit: One of my girlfriend's co-workers had a boyfriend like that. She dumped him because he was just never going to get his shit together. He leeched off of her and was just a really lazy partner.

Yes, I've seen it happen and heard of it. My ex really loved me, it didn't work out in the end, but she would buy more for me after a while than I would for her. She had a job with only high school education whilst I'm working on my masters with a part time job. Neither would make a lot but I'd make a fair share less than her.

In reality I felt like we really spent the equal amount on each other but just as a dude that made me a bit uncomfortable. I always had to try equalizing because she would buy me so much shit I really didn't even want. The point is that she was not a "becky buxx" for me, but she could have been had I allowed it.

I also think that women project and think that because they like getting shit bought for them, so do guys. Most dudes don't really care about clothes and jewelry. If you want to do something for us, a BJ and some sort of good food goes much further than some random sweater IMO at least.

One of my old roommates had a girl that would frequently drop by and give him food/drinks that she bought or baked. After she left he would just give me the food because he was absolutely obsessed with eating healthy and never actually wanted the stuff she gave him. Becky bux and how often I’ve encountered one is one of the many reasons why shit like TRP makes me laugh. One of my close friends is a Becky bux. She has a child with her boyfriend who dropped outta college and quit his job 3 years ago to start his own business. Still hasn’t done shit. She finished her masters, got a job, gave birth. She works full time, her mother helps with the kid because her boyfriend is too scared to be alone with his baby. She pays the bills. He gets welfare for some reason. He refuses to propose to her because he thinks it’s too soon (they’ve been together for 7 years.... and have a child together). I showed her FDS and she got pissed at me and came up with a bunch of excuses as to why her boyfriend is a HVM. The truth is, she’s just terrified of being alone and lost her virginity to him and some religious hangups around that definitely come into play. I’m actually worried about the day this dude actually starts making his own money because I can see him leaving her and complaining about child support from a mile away. She’s a Becky Bux extreme and I just wanna slap some sense into her but she doesn’t listen!

I keep hearing these stories, yet have never once observed it.

Like "my last BF was abusive". I think a lot of women "claim" that, but precisely how much does this really happen?

And what numbers are we talking about. a few hundred she lent him before bailing out? A thirty year marriage raising some other woman's children while paying 100% of the bills while he sits around on the couch all day, microwaving some stuff in a can for dinner, while demanding she make way more money?

I think very early on, some woman will give some money to a BF for something, but I have never, in my life, met anyone IRL where the wife/girlfriend/whatever is financing anyone for longer than a month or two.

It's one of those things I see claimed all the time when the subject comes up, so it must only be women on reddit, because I don't see them swiping their card out in public.

The dynamic of most relationships can probably be predicted by comparing the man’s SMV to the woman’s. If the man’s is significantly higher than the woman’s (2 or more points on the 10 scale) then you’ll probably get a “Becky Bucks” dynamic where the woman is super eager to please the man and will pay for things, cook, let him live with her, etc.

I’ve also seen women support men in a “investing in a startup” sense. Think of the guy struggling to pay the bills while in law school or med school, his GF can see that helping him now will clearly pay off in the future when he’s making doctor/lawyer money so she plays the Becky Bucks role

Yes I have seen it in my older age group. It usually happens with less attractive women and super neurotic women who are desperate to have a serious LTR or marriage. Two women I work with fall in that category for second marriages. I should they their husbands are nothing to get worked up about. One guy works for his father's lawn business. Dad still controls the money even though the guy manages all the clients and jobs and he has some other issues but my friend who moved him in her house 5 plus years ago is planning her wedding. The other chick married this anti social loner history teacher guy with bratty as fuck daughters she makes 3 times what he does and covers his daughters health insurance. I found him boring to talk to and he has a lot of health problems.

Yes. I've observed this first hand but anecdotes do not serve as evidence. Men do not care for a woman unless she is a 9/10 minimum. They seem to be fine with using ones below that for sex or for paying for dates. For every woman wanting a guy to pay for a date, thes a guy wanting her to pay for his date.

Generally it's a younger woman trying to impress a mate, and who is clearly being used for sex and entertainment. Older women it seems to occur less often, however due to the fact I do not engage with older ilk as often my observation set may not be an accurate representation.

I've known a number of women who held on to, paid for rent, food, etc for hot guys that they "just felt something special about" while the dude treated them like shit. Typically it ended when the dude moved onto a new woman. If they listened to common sense or any of their friends or anyone else this could have been avoided. Many of these women were shooting out of their league but definitely not all of them.

It’s definitely a thing, and its not always with girls that are less attractive than the men. I’m part of a woman’s group on FB and recently a woman posted that she dumped her bf who was staying with her rent free, eating all her food, and she paid for everything when they went out. LOTS of women, including me, have had similar relationships. Usually not sugar mama level but, in my case at least, he didn’t like where he was living so he just lived at my place instead. After about 2 weeks we never even had sex, he was just living there and eating my food and using my internet, etc. It happened so fast i wasnt even sure what was happening until my roommate got pissed. It usually happens with unsuccessful musician/artist types from what i can tell. And before anyone says he must’ve been super hot - he wasnt. Just to drive that point home since i know guys are self conscious about height - I’m 5’10 and he was maybe 5’7. Thats not what bothered me, the literal stealing was.
