Height is the single most dealbreaker trait in men. You could have a 8+ face, but if you're below say 5'8" it's probably over and women will insta reject you.

This is why my height requirement for women is 5’9-6ft. Having a short son will not be in the cards for me.

Short men get treated like shit. I guess it stops in their late 20s when women start lowering some of their less important standards, but still.

The fact that she is asking that question out of nowhere shows that she is a height is one of her dealbreakers She's starting to get interested in the guy and she's asking that one key question so to know whether she will be wasting her time with the rest of the conversation and a date or not. Who knows? Maybe she is 5'9" and it's perfectly reasonable for her to not be attracted to a 5'7" guy.

This is a point in favor of people making certain conventionally unattractive traits visible on their profile. Showing your height and your weight prevents bad stuff like this from happening.

A lot of people just stop replying in the first conversation, it’s not necessarily “ghosting”… no one should be required to give a full explanation of why not continuing a conversation to every person you converse with online. If you’ve been out on a date, or you’ve been chatting for a week+ , then I’d start to consider it “ghosting”.

But seriously, this little waste of two hours could have been avoided by either putting his height in his profile or her asking right off the bat if it’s that important to her. I’d say the same thing about a woman being ghosted after revealing her weight (if her size was not obvious in her photos). It may suck, but irl people make these judgments all the time just by looking at people, kind of silly to expect them not to care because it’s an app.
