ALL CHILDREN REGARDLESS OF GENDER should be conditioned with baseline expectations for: * discipline/respect * confidence/aggression amongst peers * compassion/humility * lifestyle habits!!! * outward presentation!!! * athleticism * appreciation of art/music * education/career ambition

I fully endorse high expectations Asian parenting.

No lie, I found r/vindicta a while ago and have used it to improve my facial appearance as a guy

Have gotten a lot more female attraction/attention since putting effort into minor facial aesthetics and I always downplay it by saying it’s just genetics

Seems modern western society is obsessed with beauty in general, not just from women

Yes yes yes, but the most important thing right now is that youth participation in sports is plummeting due to education budgets being slashed around the country. Kids and teenagers should be playing football, soccer, hockey. They should be running and lifting weights, but these things are decreasing.

It's kind of hard to worry about millimeters of bone when there's an obesity epidemic and a bunch of fat kids to solve first.

Yes, but I think your focus on grooming is off-base. Most men don't need to pluck their brows and get manicures to be attractive, in fact that kind of thing is a turnoff to a lot of women. They should definitely be taught the basics of not being gross, but otherwise the focus should be on eating right and staying fit and active.

Yes. Make them play sports. Make them do everything possible to increase their status and looks, even if they hate it. They'll be popular and attractive, which is the most important thing.

East European male here: Was told education is everything, looks mean nothing and one should focus on comfort/hygiene/low maintenance appearance only. Physical activity is whether I care about it as a hobby or not, not important.

Daughters are pressured by their mothers and their female peers, not by men.

It's pretty common for a man to tell his girlfriend that he wouldn't mind if she stopped wearing makeup, only for her to roll her eyes and spend 2 hours in front of the mirror.

Probably. Since women don’t really need men anymore, men need to be taught to have some qualities that will actually attract women. As appearance is one of these qualities, men being taught how to maximize their appearance is important.

As a guy who takes a lot of care for my appearance (I get my eye brows threaded and have had manicures and pedicures before, I have cocoa butter every where, I do face masks with my gf every now and then), I’d say no.

Not like women. These qualities are mostly not attractive ones for men. Women don’t necessarily like guys who are as into their looks as I am.

That said, guys should know how to wear clothes that fit, how to smell nice, how to out together a decent outfit. Be presentable.

God no. I have a few guys as patients who are obviously "black pill" types, one even brought his jaw muscle workout thingy to show me, and they tend to be insufferable and remind me of a few flaming gay patients I've had, but at least its expected there.

Masculinity is attractive. Men only really need basic grooming, not preening.

For both men and women all it takes to look good is exercise, eat right, dress reasonably well, practice good hygiene, and have a good haircut. It's good to teach both your son's and daughters that.

Yes! Do you know that at gaming tounaments the rules say that the competitors must have good hygiene to be allowed to play? That is so insane! That gamers and tabletop players commonly have such bad hygiene a rule was needed. And then these types of guys wonder why women don't like them.

I dated a guy I met at work, he's 31 and he doesn't wash his hands after using the restroom, doesn't brush his teeth regularly, and wouldn't dress nicer, had a disgusting bathroom and kitchen. I had to break up with him over this, after politely and kindly trying to tell him how to fix these things and why they mattered. These are basic things, he's not a weirdo, he's a normal guy. Did I love him for his personality? Yes, but that love cannot endure basically having to potty train a grown man. I asked him if his parents taught him about these things and he said yes, he just didn't care about them.

Like education and the job market, there would still be more applicants than positions.

She doesn't want some random 6' 3" jacked, educated, rich, handsome, and faithful guy - she wants the best. Great is not good enough.

Like fortune 500 company, she's tossing aside 4.0's from state schools and focusing on the best that the Ivy League has to offer.

I worked with a cute girl that had a profile on the League. Rhodes scholar, Fulbright, Harvard, lawyers, bankers - dozens of qualified candidates. Her value was that she was cute and her daddy sent her to a private liberal arts college that she partied her way through.
