The text to this one is important. I’m asking this question here because this is the only place to get a less bias more amoral view of it.

Cheating is the one action in a relationship that a actually doesn’t do anything to the person being cheated on, it doesn’t physically hurt them, it doesn’t abuse them, arguably it doesn’t even mean that the person who is cheating is slacking on their duties as a partner ( depending on the relationship that is).

Despite this, cheating is considered one of the worst things that can be done in a relationship and is the most common deal breaker and catalyst for breakup.

Now I understand the part about breaking of trust and feeling betrayed, but idk I don’t really feel like that is so traumatizing, especially if this person still had your back and did everything they could as your partner.

Now I do believe that cheating is still grounds for a breakup depending on context. But I just want to know what you guys think about this.
