If you are below 5 11 or 5 10 , your height will start working against you and the shorter you are the more of a problem it will be. It's a demerit you will have to compensate for with other factors. Of course this doesn't mean that it will be impossible for you to get chicks.

At 5 10- 6 feet your height is neutral. It won't help you but It also won't hurt you.

Every centimeter taller than that will be a boon that will help you with all chicks. You will have to do less for better results.

I agree on the 5’9 thing. The thing about height is that it’s not about the exact number of inches or meters, but it’s about how you look compared to the men around you. A guy who is 5’6 will do fine in a place where the average man is 5’3 because in comparison he looks taller.

Realistically if you’re average height or above, then height is no longer a factor. Hell even if you’re 5’8 you’re okay, if only because the difference wouldn’t be too noticeable. Once you reach 5’7 below, you start to look shorter it starts to be a detriment. However this can be negated by having an handsome face, but that is an entirely different discussion

What do you mean by "work against?" The expressed ideal height of a man by most women is listed as between 5'11" and 6'2". If you're outside of that range (taller or shorter), then by pure mathematics it starts to "work against you" in terms of total options. Obviously shorter is usually less well-received than taller, but that's not always the case.

BUT if you prefer smaller women, then you actually have a wider pool being a bit shorter than a very tall guy. If you prefer much taller women, some require you be taller than 6'3". So "working against you" is dependent, in part, on what you want.

If you look at pure median number of sexual partners, height doesn't start to "work against you" until 5'4" or shorter, and even then it doesn't immediately drop to 0.

I don't think height ever works against a man unless he's shorter than the woman who he's interested in. I'm 5'8" and have attracted women the same height as me, but women taller than me haven't seemed to show as much romantic interest, although they've always been friendly to me. I've known guys shorter than me who have had success with women shorter than them, too, so I don't buy arguments that there is some "too short" height where a man has no chance with even women who are shorter than him.

I'm kinda incel, 5'4" but I did fairly well with women here and there, height is not the decisive fact BUT it would be straight up a lie to say that there aren't women who scrapped me way before I had the opportunity to approach, height is something that a high percentage of women care deeply for but isn't as much as the "manosphere" make it to be.

IMO, I think its under 5'10. The reason for that is because a lot of women seem to like men that are bigger than them and taller with than them with heels on. I've heard of crazy opinions from women that are like below 5'4 that state they want their guy to be at least 5'10. Some even on this post have stated so. That just seems like the cutoff point, I guess 5'10 is the minimum for women to feel small and men at least that height look physically and sexually attractive.

After about 6'3 or 6'4 it largely depends on your frame. A guy with a proportionate frame/build can look great at 6'7+ or he can look like a scarecrow. It's relatively rare that a guy will be both exceptionally tall and proportionate. But the status of being that tall is enough for most women.

as a 5'3" asuiang guy it matters. generally its safe to assume that your dating pool will shrink by however percentage oif the population of women is your height or taller. So I lose about half. Of course most men only start with a 30-40 percent attraction range. SO for me tahst like 15 - 20 percent. Now of course the question is what type of women are they?

Of course if you have a very extroverted personality then you will do better, but honestly many men don't,. Which is not to say they dont approach and talk to women, but they dont have huge social circles. Even then it may not be enough.

I tend to find these manosphere subs fascination with the idea that tall men get all the attractive women a bit false.

This opinion primarily derives from those who are incels, black pillers, MGTOWs, etc... Those type of people want an excuse as to why they're not putting in the work to get women. It is not really an opinion of true Red Pillers.

If you're a short guy, you can still get women. Yes, the 6 foot guy will have better success than you getting casual sex on a dating app. It doesn't mean you can't do many other things to improve yourself and find success in the dating market.

I think most women just want a man that is substantially taller than them. I am 5'2 so I'm very happy with a man who is 5'9/5'10. If they're >= 6'0 then I do start to think that's too tall for me.

5'9 is the national average, so 50% of the population would still have height work against them. From my personal observations though, if you are around 5'6 you can still get women, just not the highest quality of women to put it mildly. But if you are around 5'3, you're fucked. Not a high sample size to work with when you are that far out of the bell curve, but I only know of one guy that lucked out in finding himself a 5'0 girl, the rest are legit 30yo virgins.

As long as you’re taller than the women you’re going for you’re not getting rejected cuz of height. If there’s competition and you’re taller thats ultimately a pro for you that carries value, but still does not guarantee it especially when there are multiple factors at play.

Some study (can’t find it unfortunately) found the most attractive height to be 6’2” and attractiveness decreased as a function of height in bell curve fashion with every inch less/more from there. So believe it or not, being 7 ft tall isn’t dropping panties like most would think—at a certain point you’re either freakishly short or freakishly tall

It depends on the average height of your región as well as expectations. But I feel some people overestimate their disadvantage.

I am 5'0" and while my sex life sucks being shy and awkward and anxious havent helped me a lot, neither did being interrupted by a pandemic.

With some effort my situation have gotten better yet I see guys at 5'6" and even 5'8" complaining, yeah you will have to make a bigger effort than the average man but you are surrendering too easily.

A few years ago I was in a dining hall in college and overheard a guy at the next table complaining about being short and his luck with women. Likely not knowing I can hear him he goes “I bet that guy (me) can get any girl for being a decent height” I had to laugh because it was the dumbest shit I’ve heard lmao my luck with women was dismal in college, I was awkward as hell.

Height is not the end all be all of attraction that the manosphere pretends it to be. The fixation on 6’0 I’m what’s really to me about it though. I’m 6’0 myself and will sometimes tell women I’m 5’11 just to see if the reaction will resembles any of the 6’0< theories and literally none of them care.

That’s not to say that height can be a contributive factor to attractiveness, I just think the reaction to it is overblown to the point this idea that no short men are successful with women. Never known a short friend or family member to be denied by a woman because of their height. Which leads me to believe height probably isn’t the problem, it’s the person.

People definitely place too much importance on height here, maybe because it’s such an easy excuse to use. Alpha mindset, jacked and cocky/funny personality is much more important. There’s so many lanklets out there getting 0 pussy.

To answer the OP’s question, the problem isn’t necessarily being too tall (unless you’re like a 7ft+ freak) but it’s filling out your frame. It takes a lot longer for tall guys to fill out their frame and as you approach 6ft5+ it becomes almost impossible unless you have great muscle building genetics or the help of steroids.

Height also very much depends on which country we're talking about. I'm assuming you're talking from an American perspective (?).

I'm from the Netherlands, where the average woman is 1.69m (5ft 6.5 inches) and the average man 1.82m (about 6ft). I am about average for Dutch women, but my bf is 1.93m (6ft4), which is tall, but not extremely tall for Dutch principles. He has several friends that are much taller than him. One friend in particular has to duck to fit through literally every door, can't sit in regular plane seats etc, at which point lenght is more of a downside than an advantage. I estimate him about 6ft9.

So, for me personally, I think 5 ft 9 is rather short (since it's below average for men here), but overall, I think height is one of the many factors that contribute to finding someone attractive, but not THE decisive factor. That is unless someone is extremely short or tall. My main point is that it would be hard to pinpoint an exact 'ideal' height, as it very much depends on what someone is used to.

I used to sweat height all the time but theres a couple of solid reasons as to why its not as important as many people make it out to be

Im assuming this is a male problem...females arent really affected by being short

1) some girls like short guys. Albeit, they generally have mental problems but hey everyones got a niche

2) personality/achievement triumphs height.

3) there are so many successful short people. Not to mention short and ugly people.
