Women are solipsistic, they think because they find a man who has university education and a career attractive that must mean that men must find a women with a PHD attractive.

Also the word misogynistic has been so overused its meaning has been butchered, apparently disagreeing with a women is misogynistic. The word means nothing now, it's just standard procedure with feminists.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea27 points28 points29 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Misogyny literally means hatred of women. Having preferences for the type of women that you're attracted to somehow equates to hating women.

Misogyny as feminists define it seems to mean "anything that I dislike".

[–]1PaulRivers1013 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, you can find a long article of how Leonard Hofstadter from The Big Bang theory is a "misogynist". Seriously..."I don't like his character, so I'll say he hates women".

[–]zirzo6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Same with the word creep.

Homophobic is a political word. It doesn't mean "fear of" like every single other phobia, it means you don't agree with their agenda. It falls in line with bigot, sexist, racist, etc.

They all basically mean heretic for the PC religion of liberalism.

Also these same people try to use shaming tools as well.

"Well if you don't agree with the gaystapo then its because you are--"

  • Insecure with your own sexuality
  • A big gay in the closet
  • Heretic
  • Backwards
  • Stupid
  • Its like, 2014, get over it
  • almost forgot privileged, God I hate that word, it just screams stupid etc

Basically all the tools women use the gaystapo uses as well.

There I go forgetting to check my privilege again.

But I DO find a womyn PhD attractive . . . . as a nice beta provider! I search for one to marry in the computer science and biotech fields, but only if they are planning to start a company that attracts billions of dollars in investment. Now that I'm tired of shagging all those bad girl sluts and my looks are starting to fade, I have finally wised up and changed my prodigal ways. I will be loyal, faithful, mow the lawn, fix the plumbing, the wiring, make love to her twice an evening 7 days a week . . . until I've reached the 7 year mark, in which case, I'll complain that I'm not fulfilled, start taking yoga classes, become more distant, do less around the house, pick fights with her, blame her for everything I'm unhappy about, until she slaps me in the face, leaving a red mark. Then I call the cops, get her locked up, get a divorce, take half, and have my rotating carousel of yoga students. Then I write the house hubby version of "Eat Pray Love," make millions, and get to host my own TV Show for an emasculated male audience!

Edit: Forgot to mention withhold sex until she's goes crazy, and/or cheats.

Prediction, we will see this more and more.

As a guy who's actually been in this situation I have some feedback.

You have to be a complete sociopath to do this without it falling apart or having your heart broken.

[–]Endorsed Contributormonsieurhire21 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, they're all sociopaths. In fact, my Mom just described herself as a sociopath tonight. What a weird coincidence. I'm not kidding, BTW.

Thinking of woman as a woman and not as a man is misogynistic.

[–]Hrel13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

solipsistic

TIL: a theory in philosophy that your own existence is the only thing that is real or that can be known.

Not often do I learn a new word on reddit, cool.

[–]ModAerobus1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually if you go to dictionary.com the second definition works too and I think is simpler to understand.

[–]Hrel2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

solipsistic

"the extreme form of scepticism which denies the possibility of any knowledge other than of one's own existence"

both make sense to me, but I'm familiar with English.

[–]beauzero7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My qualifications for hiring someone are not the same qualifications I looked for in a life mate.

Semantic satiation: Semantic satiation is a psychological phenomenon in which repetition causes a word or phrase to temporarily lose meaning for the listener, who then processes the speech as repeated meaningless sounds.

Also agree with us or else we will call you a misogynistic and take away everything you have and throw you in jail

Slightly misogynistic...

I was waiting for this weapon to come out. They literally can't debate without resorting to ad hominem.

I like the posting rules in RedPillWomen. It's a bit draconian but feminists have proven that strict enforceable anti-hamster rules are needed. "Um..." and "Wow, just...wow" are huge pet-peeves of mine and I'm happy to see rules against using outrage tactics.

Feminist/Troll Shaming language

  • Um...
  • Wow, just...wow
  • misogyny
  • equality
  • That's sexist
  • The word "Cult" or "cultish"
  • Abuse
  • I hear what you're saying but [insert feminist jibber-jabber]
  • "Feminism really isn't that bad...." or "I don't think you actually understand what feminism is actually about..."

[–]veyron100132 points33 points34 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You forgot the patronizing hun, babe, or sweetie.

[–]JudgeRedPill28 points29 points30 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Or cringey use of the word dude or bro. I swear, watching a feminist talk like that is like watching a nerd try to rap in 1993.

[–]sway_usa 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

HA, great analogy.

[–]Muhguul9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, hun...

[–]ryeprotagonist8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

you forgot: "Really? Really??" or the same can be done by substituting "Seriously"

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's true, there are a lot of tactics to avoid true debate, like when they say, "OMG that's so obviously wrong that it is not worth explaining" or "OMG that is so horrible it's obvious you hate women"

[–]jacobman9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Those last two, while you won't agree with them, aren't really shaming. That seems like pure topic based censorship.

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True. /r/RedPillWomen might appreciate your feedback.

[–]dvrzero2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's apologia, though. So excise it whenever you see it.

[–]Spartacus321 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Problematic" is one that SJW-types love to use.

[–]ModAerobus97 points98 points99 points 12 years ago (49 children) | Copy Link

It's called ASK MEN. So i give an answer. I'm met with feminist backlash. I respond. Other men respond affirming my position. The feminist doesn't fucking get it.

It. just. pisses. me. off.

[–]Samantha_Simpson 39 points39 points39 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this kind of behavior, especially in a sub titled "AskMen". This is part of the reason why I suggested in another thread that all female posters should be banned from commenting in that sub - the people asking questions there are seriously not interested in their opinions; they're simply irrelevant to them since they're not men.

I personally didn't see how any of what you wrote was objectionable. It's actually very reasonable and one of the few things of which my family has kept reminding me since I was little. I don't see how not fully agreeing with their opinions 100% constitutes a personal attack in their minds, although judging by their reactions it clearly does...

[–][deleted] 43 points44 points45 points 12 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Indeed, the very presence of women will cause a lot of men on reddit to modify their answers in fear of offending those women.

That has, historically speaking, been the primary reason men have excluded women from their conversations: women, in general, focus too heavily on censoring the conversation.

[–]BooksofMagic24 points25 points26 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because women can't have conversations like that without their 'feelz' getting in the way. They have emotional reactions to things that were never meant to be taken in an emotional way. OP's thread is a perfect example. Chicky-poo didn't like the feeling she got when she read OP's response so immediately lashed out at him. She then later apologized, but only AFTER reddit put her in her place and put that stupid hamster back in it's cage.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are content-based communicators. We care about what is said.

Women are process-based communicators. They care about how something is said.

[–]BooksofMagic20 points21 points22 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's the brainwashing. ANYTHING that even remotely could be construed as being negative towards ANY women is automatically slapped with the label "misogynistic". It's really making me sick to hear all these women parroting what they hear and thinking they know the meaning of things without looking the information up themselves. It's pathetic really.

Interesting note - My google spell check recognizes 'misogyny' and 'misogynistic' but doesn't even know the word 'misandry'. I guess everyone just loves men so there's no need to have that word in the language...

[–]anttyk471 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe Google spell check shows you the trend the internet takes ie no misandry

[–]1kick63 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't see how not fully agreeing with their opinions 100% constitutes a personal attack in their minds, although judging by their reactions it clearly does...

This is the solipsism we always talk about. If an individual is the only thing that exists, ALL attacks are personal. Make sense?

[–]anotherthrowawaybiff3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's nice to know that not all the women reading that had the same reaction. It's a curious fact - Often when men are telling women something they don't necessarily want to hear, those are the times that the man is actually being more open and emotionally honest with the woman.....and yet women reject statements they don't want to hear and complain that men won't be honest with them or "connect" with them. It's frustrating. My wife is a smart and capable lady who has a lot of accomplishments in her life, but what I love most about her is the way that she smiles. Does this make me a misogynist?

[–]ModAerobus0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why can't there be more women like you.

[–]selfsufficientnigga20 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Should have just written 'A man needs a woman's PhD and career like a fish needs a bicycle'.

[–]thrwwy101011112 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

First thing you should have done is go point form. Once they get emotional, reading comprehension goes out of the window. The only thing you can do is to present your argument in as detached a manner as possible.

[–]BooksofMagic8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I laughed at this because it's so fucking true. I think the hamster starts substituting words they read to get some hamster wheel momentum built up. Then they just fly off the wheel when they are shot down.

Damn I can't find that .gif of the hamster flying off the wheel I laughed at the other day. Anyone got it?

Thanks, I'm going to use this in the future.

What about the ones who don't identify (well NAFALT; right?) as radfems/feminists but have the programming in a low lawyer of their psyche? These ones typically have a harder time defining why they feel like they've been told they should feel, and just default to a catchphrase like "muhsoginnnyyyy"?

"You hate wimmins!" "Sticking my dick in your diploma doesn't feel quote the same".

Bonus points that we have to make throwaways just to even discuss the fucking topic. -_-

[–]ModAerobus0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're right I probably should have done that, but it was almost 1 am and after a stressful day of quizzes and studying and doing homework, I just couldn't take it and snapped.

We ignore them and push forward. The world will change even if people bury themselves up to the neck in cement. There is no point in arguing with someone who refuses to open up their mind to the possibility of other avenues of thought.

Good post, nice clear statements and arguments.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you handled yourself very well. Life_of_roses is a lost cause.

It is ok to have preferences.

It's silly to think otherwise.

[–]wakingslowdiver 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't get pissed off. Shrug. It's the better option.

[–]ModAerobus2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's just hard sometimes not to. But I understand what you're saying, and yes, I know I need to stay detached.

[–]angryuser_trp-3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I'm not sure I understood. Were you taking ONS or LTR attractivity? ONS - sure, looks all the way. LTR - it really comes down to what the woman has to offer other than her body. Which is where I start to value her intelligence, personality (if I get to live with her and get no shit tests whatsoever, then it's golden) and education (if it's in some relevant field unlike gender studies and crap like that). As we all know there's plenty of girls that will give you their body and try to manipulate you with it because in the end it's the only thing they have to offer. That's a low value woman that I am not attracted to for longer than 1 night.

So to sum it up, other qualities matter too.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Brainpower is simply irrelevant.

If a girl is smart, that's fine, but it isn't what's going to draw me to her. Soft features, curves, blonde hair, pretty eyes -- those are what tend to draw me to particular women.

I don't know why some women have gotten it in their heads that their attraction riggers are all the result of good, pure and noble thinking, while men's are all the result of Satan, but it is easily the thing women are most likely to be full of shit on.

[–]fiat_lux_6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

He's talking about LTRs.

Intelligence/Career could matter for some men in lower classes. They could use the dual income.

Personality matters for LTRs matter, period. (EDIT; extra word... It's late and I'm still working. Tired.)

Imagine, for example, coming home everyday to a combative shrill shrew. At least petty squabbles with internet SJWs are a choice, and can be tuned out any time. Coming home to one. Constantly fighting. Constantly watching what you say. Constantly being suspicious of you. Counting beans till the day she can use it all against you. Pulling teeth just to get cooperation. It's just exhausting.

Very low grade LTR material, regardless of how physically attractive they are.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Intelligence itself is actually a great quality to have in a partner (secondary to looks, of course). From my experience it leads to fewer arguments and misunderstandings. Dumb girls often make incorrect statements, but their need to feel good about themselves won't allow them to admit it when they're caught out, so they hamster a way out of it that usually leads to argumentation.

[–]gopher880 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Intelligence/Career could matter for some men in lower classes. They could use the dual income.

THat's where this shit storm started.

He was saying that HE doesn't value that when he first meets a girl. His first tier of elimination as it were was physical beauty.

He then says after that he takes into consideration things such as personality, work, etc...

[–]ModAerobus0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you read carefully I said that for LTRs looks are the first thing I consider, and that I consider other qualities after looks for LTRs.

What the feminist didn't understand was that for men looks tend to come first.

[–]angryuser_trp0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right, must have missed that. All good in that case ;]

[+]Totenglocke42-10 points-9 points-8 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, but I don't get why you'd want a dumb girl. If you're just looking for a fwb or one night stand, then who cares. But if you're looking for a relationship, why would you want someone you can't have an intelligent conversation with?

[–]Kanyin 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Post-secondary is a joke unless you're in hard STEM. Grad school is no exception.

Anyone can get a non-STEM degree, and a masters/PhD/whatever to follow it up. The standards are not nearly as high as they once were. This has nothing to do with anyone's "inadequacies", TRP, or hamsters. I detect some butt-hurt. Are you upset you blew $50,000+ on some useless papers that basically just say "I know how to regurgitate facts in essay form!"?

[–]SeekingAlpha7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You're doing just what the hamsters do...putting words in OPs mouth.

[+]Totenglocke42-10 points-9 points-8 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He's far from the first guy here to say he wants an uneducated girl. If I'm looking for a mate, I want someone smart and motivated, not dumb and lazy.

[–]SeekingAlpha8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Check your hamster, bro (and thanks for the downvote...I care so much).

Did he say he wanted an "uneducated" woman? If he did, I must have missed that part. He said that a PhD does not attract him. He did not say "PhDs are unattractive". You understand the difference, right?

I would go for an "uneducated" intelligent woman over an "educated" unintelligent woman any day. The former are in much greater supply then the latter, of course.

I could keep on nit-picking your bullshit...it's quite easy. You assume that "educated" = "smart and motivated". False equivalency.

Thanks for playing. Better luck next time. Have a great day and try to tame that hamster. I believe in you!

I think his point is that having a phD or career does not make one attractive. He does say personality is important. A part of that is the ability to be interesting and for some men intelligent. There are plenty of intelligent women who decided not to get a phD or climb up the career ladder. The phD/career might matter a lot to her, but what matters to him is that she is attractive. The career/phD alone does not make women more attractive and the qualities involved with having a career or PhD that do make a woman attractive are not exclusively attributed to women with careers and phDs.

Don't argue with feminists. Their hamsters spin so fast that if you put them in a Delorean you could instantaneously travel back to 1885.

"I'm attracted primarily based on looks, personality second, and then afterwards common sense/basic intelligence INSTEAD of education."

That's 1.21 gigawatts of hamster power.

EDIT: I just realized that we have a new unit for power, like horsepower.

[–]Clauderoughly17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Fun science fact... 1 hamster (real life one) in a wheel generates about 1 watt of power.

1.21 Gigawatts = 1.21 billion hamsters, running in wheels

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Do you have a source for that?

Because I remember looking into those electric stationary bikes, and they generate a measly 5 watts. Ride for a day and you can turn on a light bulb for an hour.

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Someone here calculated 0.4 watts/hamster

http://ironj11.imascientist.org.uk/2011/06/could-you-use-hamsters-in-wheels-to-power-your-house-how-many-would-you-need-would-it-work-better-with-gerbils

EDIT: Also, Floyd Landis was once measured averaging 500 watts for 4 hours.

[–]Clauderoughly1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's one of those things I rememeber from high school physics class.

Ride for a day and you can turn on a light bulb for an hour.

That's because 90% of an incandesant ligh bulb's energy is lost in heat. If you added up Heat + light + generation losses (more heat) + transmition losses (more heat) you'd see it works out.

8hrs x 5Watts = 40 watts

Yeah that works out about right.

[–]bankruptmorals1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Interesting. I wonder how that would work out if an LED light bulb were used instead of incandescent

[–]Clauderoughly1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Much longer as LED's are much more effient, same with the new fluro bulbs.

They are effectively about 12 watts, so they would go for about 3.3 hrs

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You mean watt-hours

[–]Endorsed Contributorredpillbanana2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In my opinion this is the only type of humor that should be allowed in here. The circle jerky stuff is ignorant and looks ignorant.

We don't have to put on makeup and sell the idea to the world, but it would be nice if there was no confusion when someone new reads a thread. Depending on which day a new person comes here the first link they will read looks and sounds like some absurd story fresh out of the imagination complete with catch-phrases and acronyms. Also makes this stuff an easy target, and again, I get it. The idea isn't to recruit, I just know I would personally send friends here if it wasn't for that stuff and if I could control what it is they look at - at least until they get a feel for things (and at that point, why would we need to go back to that goofy format?).

But that's just me. You keep doing you, /u/veyron1001. Please.

*I should clarify, when I say 'allowed in here,' I'm almost strictly speaking of posts, not comments. Comments are what they are but I feel posts could not only do without the schtick, but would actually benefit from its absence.

Women get turned on by male accomplishment. However, men do not get turned on by male accomplishment. Feminists, because they feel otherwise, have apparently decided that this is immoral, and that the only moral way to select a mate is by female-approved criteria.

And this is why most people hate feminists.

What I love is the threads on reddit where some guy posts there picture and the girls are ALL OVER THEM.

Examples I have seen recently:

  • "Can I objectify you? Well I'm going to anyways. You're hot" (imagine saying this to a woman on reddit... ya I don't want to either)
  • "Cute guy, good with animals, sense of humor. Where do I get an application to be your GF?" This was followed by many responses to the effect of "I'd like one too please" or 'Dayum, me wanty" (many women would be creeped the fuck out in the reverse situation - "Oh they only want me for my body. Those misogynistic pigs!")
  • "Hmmm you should post to /r/forearmporn" or whatever other female fetish subbreddit they like. (Try telling a girls she should post to /r/gonewild and just watch the shitstorm come down on your head)

After sex, I've had women reassure me that, although they loved the sex, they are also really into my personality and hanging out.

All I can think in those moments is "you are projecting your insecurities as though they were mine".

I don't care how you judge me and I would not be spending time with you if we weren't having sex. Deal with it, sweetheart.

[–]morepill29 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

People seriously think that attractiveness isn't a factor?

Girls are told from a young age that any man who is "the One" will love them for who they are and despite their appearance (source: I'm a woman and was told this BS by everyone around me for years before I woke up).

You can see the repercussions of that lie in /r/relationships and the women's subreddits:

  • Boyfriend asks how to tell his gf that he thinks she's fat, gets told he should "learn to find her attractive".
  • Woman wants to lose weight so her husband will find her more attractive, gets told not to do it because he wants her to, which makes him a "shallow asshole."
  • Girl who gained weight complains that her boyfriend now finds her unnattractive, calls him a " jerk who cares about weight".
  • Fiance tells woman her weight is unattractive, commenters reassure her that she is "more than her weight".

I could go on, but you get the picture.

I assume that saying/lie came from a place of good intent, likely meant to encourage girls to pursue interests beyond fashion/makeup/etc., but that doesn't make it less of a lie.

[–]phomaniac3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's weird isn't it? When girls ask me what's important to me, and I straight up tell them looks. She has to be hot. They understand it and say they feel the same way. Wonder why that is.

[–]morepill26 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I imagine girls who are hot don't need to believe such lies - they know firsthand the power of having a high SMV.

That saying is just a platitude for unattractive people to cling to, even as they hypocritically comment on how hot a ripped man is.

My theory on why that saying is so damn popular: this platitude gives them hope that the world is not so "cruel" as to judge them on their weight, their horribly proportioned features, or their lack of personal hygiene. They probably feel that these things are out of their control (only the bad features problem is, but even that can be mitigated by makeup/surgery), and so willing reality to change helps them feel like they're regaining that control.

As for myself, I suspect that being fat in my formative years is why I believed that BS for so long - once I lost the weight as an adult, I noticed an immediate, positive change in how I was treated by men. That gave me a point of reference against fat-me's experiences, which "woke me up" to the realities of the world.

[–]zirzo4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This hooks right back into the duke porn story about women pointing fingers at the guy for outing the girl who was a porn star. Watching porn is otherwise labelled as "cheating" and on the other hand women should have the right to express themselves and their sexuality by working on porn movies

[–]C_D_O18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Don't bother.

You are literally arguing with religious fanatics.

Still i find it amusing to see hypocrisy in action, particularly from feminists and other extreme left groups, which on one hand will tell you attraction isnt a choice whenever it comes to their handpicked "safe people" groups (LGBT for the point of this argument, and to be fair, attraction really isnt a choice) but when it comes to straight men, you're a objectifying, sexist, misogynistic pig for saying you're attracted to pretty women.

So which is it, attraction IS a choice for all of humans or isnt it?

Oh wait right, straight white male, I'm not human i'm part of the oppressor species.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is the part that always confused me about leftist ideology (I still identify as a liberal, fwiw). There are thousands of posts/pictures/videos out there mocking people who think homosexual attraction is a choice. But in the same breath the very same people think that heterosexual attraction is a choice. It's such a mentally bankrupt position. The only reason they espouse it is because it fits into their Just World viewpoint.

[–]1PaulRivers104 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I'm also liberal, and Feminism and Gay Rights are definitely the two topics with little to no logic, filled with hyperbole and often outright lies to advance the agenda.

A conservative friend of mine pointed out how hilarious it is - on almost every other topic, conservatives take an attitude that people won't change and will just keep doing what's in their best interest, while liberals are all about "people can change, people can control their own lives!". Gay topics are the one place where suddenly they switch sides - conservatives suddenly claiming that you can stay your sexuality, liberals bizarrely claiming that you can't.

"I don't want a woman to be smart and invested in something. They just have to look good. The way I want. Because for me."

Well... Yea.

It takes some powerful stupid for women to somehow delude themselves into thinking that they can control what men find attractive. The nerve these feminists have is almost impressive. They actually believe that they can change the laws of nature just because doing so would mean they could have their cake and eat it too. They want to choose the standards by which they're judged and proclaim with righteous indignation that any standards they don't like are oppressive and misogynistic.

The irony is that if these feminists spend more time and effort trying to avoid being called for what they are then they would spend by becoming more attractive and bettering themselves. I suppose it's still easier for hamplanets sit behind a keyboard and label everything they don't like as misogynistic than it is for them to hit the gym.

The double standard is glaring these women in the face but they don't see it. Reality is too much for them to handle.

When told by society that you're unattractive or undesirable (or atleast less desirable than you'd like to be); men and women deal with it in different ways. Men come to TRP to be metaphorically told "you thought the attractive bar was here? No, it's up there. Now you know where it is you surpass that shit. You make that bar your bitch. You hit the gym, you learn, you practice, you improve."
Women (generally) instead complain that there is a bar. They thought they set the bar. They want the bar to be whatever is easy for them. How dare anyone tell a women where the bar is. What a misogynistic, objectifying shitlord.

[–]BooksofMagic7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The double standard is glaring these women in the face but they don't see it. Reality is too much for them to handle.

Denial is a powerful drug for both sexes. "I'm not a hamplanet, I'm just big boned'. "I'm not going to take care of myself because any man worth having will love me no matter what I look like".

[–]HitlersCow0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

any man worth having will love me no matter what I look like

This begs the question (that I tend to ask when presented this argument): what if you looked like giant cockroach? Would you expect someone to be attracted to you and love you even though you're a disgusting monster? No?

Weird...

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i feel bad for people like that. they want to replace reality with the ideal in their mind. they want to dictate what other people do and think in order to make their own lives a paradise of ease. they have no personal accountability and have a serious sense of entitlement. they live is state of perpetual victimhood because the imagined reality promised by feminism still hasn't come true. men still retain their free will and self-respect. the ideal of female beauty is still there and will never go away. they want what men can give without having to earn to it, and they will always fail and lash out.

the long term effects of modern feminism's impossible promises are quite tragic when you think about it. that girl is going to go through her life constantly angry at men for not being what she wants them to be, and she's unknowingly pushing away good men with that attitude. there are going to be a lot of single, old, childless, sad women once these 3rd wavers grow up. there are going to be a lot of children who grow up in poverty who grow up to resent their single mom because she didn't do what she had to to secure a good father and make a good home for her kids.

[–]TRP VanguardJP_Whoregan9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They are taught that they can be as physically unattractive as they want, but as long as they're "educated", they deserve and will find their tall, dark, handsome and smart Prince Charming, because, well, "good men" will look past your three chins, saggy tits and gut that hangs over your FUPA, and will love you for what's on the "inside"....

This is the very core of what fat acceptance is all about. They see their thin, good looking friends hopping from cock to cock on the carousel, being hypergamous, and God-dammit, they wanna be hypergamous as well, but they can't find anybody to fuck them, so it must be the fault of men, because they're just so "shallow, sexist, and misogynistic."

It's nice being able to talk about the passions in my life with a woman who understands at least the basic tenets of what I'm talking about.

If I were single and I met a woman who was objectively attractive, but was a dumbass loser - I'm not so sure I would be all about it.

I don't get one thing, why exactly are feminists upset that some subset of men, lets say "redpillers" which are described by them as a misogynistic pigs have some preferences for women? Why is it so important for them to convince (or shame) us to find them or others like them attractive? In the end we are what they hate, why should they lose their time on us? Can this be that secretly they hope for a man who don't give a fuck about feminist agenda, hamstering and academic education ... ?

Your writing style has too much prose and not enough get to the point iveness.

Also, never tell a feminist or blue piller "You have some solid analysis on the issue" because it just feeds that hamster.

That person missed the point and should be called out on it. If a woman holds her phd and career in higher regard than her appearance than she is misguided and will unfortunately bear the consequences of her decision. Only if her career puts her in close contact with rich betas is it a good trade off - but those betas would will prefer a hotter woman.

Just reiterate that academic achievement holds the same sexual market value as 1% of a good bust line, bone structure and dress. Hammer hammer hammer.

[–]SillyInternet 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Also, bolding things when talking to women is a one-way-ticket to bullshitville. We see it as calling attention to a relevant point. They see it as a gasoline-soaked rag of emotional torpor.

[–]jacobman2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As a side note, while career success may be largely irrelevant to most men, that doesn't mean that it's unimportant to getting a good guy. Career success eliminates the need for a provider, which allows a woman to not be pressured to settle only for monetary reasons. It gives women more bargaining power against lower smv mates even though it does nothing for her attraction.

[–]RPtooLate2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can't preach to hamsters. However, maybe your fellow men and redpill-leaning women could be provoked by it. It was refreshing to me to have the conscious realization that women that built their education and careers up weren't doing much to increase their attractiveness to men. I feel like some men probably think their woman should have some level of education for various reasons(the social status and networking experience, to help prevent low-level gold-digging, shows she comes from a family of resources...)

Actually, if a man himself has a higher education there is an interesting reason for him to choose a woman who has a somewhat less education. Her hypergamy will mostly prevent her from cheating on her man with a man with lesser education, at least beyond simple alpha fucks. This reduces the pool of beta bucks branches that she could possibly swing to. This could reduce the likelihood of straight-up divorce(although I just can't thought experiment how this affects the chances of purely sexual affairs with lesser-educated men at this point).

[–]captshady2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I don't know what to tell you then. If I can't convince you then I'm not going to waste my time.

You are free to believe what you want, but at least be respectful. That's common courtesy dude.

Jess Christ dude. I'm not mad and I'm not letting this get under my skin. I was just asking that you be polite because it is common courtesy.

Did the original thread get deleted? I can't seem to find it on the sub.

I totally agree with you but want to read the other comments as well

[–]TheLawlessMan2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Gone. I cant find it either. I wish they would have let it stay so that we could see how the rest of the community would respond.

[–]lupilipid2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Found it: http://www.reddit.com/r/AskMen/comments/1z2fkn/ask_men_what_qualities_do_you_think_women_are/

Just letting you know to be careful. I know that some mods will delete comments that have links to threads on reddit, and may ban you if you are a repeat offender.

[–]lupilipid0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for the warning. This is my first time linking to a thread, so I should be fine

Don't argue with people who have no intellectual honesty. It is as futile as commanding the clouds to stop raining.

I died a little on the inside reading this. Poor guy.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The feminist doesn't want a debate. Shes so high in her ivory tower that any kind of disagreement that you have with her is because, your are a mysoginist-pig rapist. She's not going to debate your points. She is going to label your thought as evil thoughts.

Feminists don't debate, they label. Which brings me to my next point women are terrible at intellectual debate.

Looks like Life_of_roses deleted all her comments.

Using bold letters doesn't make your opinion better

My sides.

[–]Hrel1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At least a few other people defended you.

It seemed like it was just that one person who insisted on calling everything you did and said misogynistic.

[–]lovelustus1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ask that stupid bitch why she isn't in r/askwomen yelling at girls about hypergamy. It's totally out of line to "objectify" a women's body but it's a social normality to objectify men's bank accounts? The biological imperative is to procreate for men so obviously men concentrate on certain genetic markers, women want a provider and a protector so they really won't understand the importance of aesthetics and sex to men.

[–]updock0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why do you?

[–]HahahahaWaitWhat0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a good question, why do you?

[–]wakingslowdiver 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't argue with feminists.

Just be a troll and agree with them.

It's more entertaining.

[–]walkngonawire0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol. Its like they're not taking account this thing called "SEXUAL orientation." SEX SEX SEX. Stop trying to repress men.

[–]nivek79130 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can't, and I mean CAN NOT, have reasonable discourse with hardliners. And not just feminists, but politics, religion, hell even some people here. They become so entrenched and myopic that they can't see the other side.

Either laugh, or just walk away.

[–]TheStoneyVibes0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dude. That was so good. It really gave me the warm fuzzies kudos for approaching that and executing beautifully

[–]TytalusWarden0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I looked through a few of the posts and noticed a disconnect between what you're saying and what most of the folks here in TRP say.

You say: "I prefer a woman who performs traditionally woman-oriented tasks, who might also have a career as a teacher or nurse."

TRP says: "A unicorn is a high value woman who is faithful and doesn't require financial support."

Obviously the definition of a unicorn varies by individual, but that leads me to ask: What is your definition of a unicorn? I could probably throw a guess out there, but it'd only be broad-type generalizations. What really speaks to you; what is your "10"?

[–]HarveyMushman720 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Listen, and understand. That terminator feminist is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

[–]LivingLifeRight0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not trying to hate, but don't these posts seem counterproductive to what TRP is?

I have seen a lot of these posts about some stupid feminist arguing, and it honestly reminds me of /r/atheist childish rebelling against religion with their 'le this' memes. We are supposed to be the men focused on bettering ourselves and ignoring the nonsense.

That means when you are not in an advantageous state, you get yourself in a better one. When people are being stupid, you ignore that and remain true to your mind.

Maybe I'm just being a hater, but I just don't understand why these posts are so popular despite their lack of value for the community besides a circle jerk.

And it screams circle jerk.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I enjoyed the post but I will still get on board with what you are saying.

[–]CouldntFindGudName1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

This is how it generally goes, if you don't like them you're misogynist. If you like them, you're such a nice guy.

It's all about muh feelings. I don't engage in any sort of dialogue with feminists, mainly because it wastes my time. It would be like banging your head against a wall. They won't listen, they won't try to understand, and they sure as hell don't care what you have to say.

When we are discussing, we listen to each others point and then counter it or suggest something else. When feminists discuss(argue) they are not listening, they are waiting for you to stop speaking and then they'll go on about their point without acknowledging yours.

To anyone in here I'd suggest not to argue with them, the moment you argue with them you are acknowledging them. I'd rather do something better with my time than argue with someone who makes no sense whatsoever.
