Downloading Pinterest helped me find looks and clothes that I like. In essence, find some folks with a style you’d like to emulate and then add some of your own touches.
Grooming is also key.

Or pick your favorite color. Your whole wardrobe is now that color.
I switched my whole wardrobe to purple got major confidence boost.

that seems so fake tho.... wont people notice and call you out if you suddenly start to try to wear nicer clothes?

You're overthinking it! I promise that people are not going to judge you for changing your style. If you go from wearing sweatpants and a stained t-shirt to a nice t-shirt and jeans, people will notice the change, but in a positive light.
[+]n0wmhat -19 points-18 points-17 points 3 years ago (41 children) | Copy Link

[–]ianjb 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
Yes let's just call attempts at self improvement fake. That's productive.
While we're at it let's make fun of the fat guy jogging and the gal who is getting used to wearing heels often. No one can ever change or try to improve themselves.
[+]n0wmhat -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
i mean you are changing yourself.. what other definition is there other than trying to be something you are not ie fake.
[–]ianjb 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Is a caterpillar turning into a butterfly fake? Is someone learning to paint, or play an instrument fake? What a fucking stupid take.
[–]ShortStuffV2 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
News flash: Everything new you do is "fake" until you absorb it
Wearing clothing and speaking english didn't come naturally to you. Style is a skill just like seduction and requires experience and experimentation to learn to do well
Every time you see someone attempt something and they suck at it, there will be some people that will never be good or great, but there might be one in ten that will get better every time they go up. Ask me that's something to encourage
[–]anerdscreativity 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Well there's your problem. Why would you judge someone making an effort to better themselves?
[–]n0wmhat -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
cuz its fake
[–]anerdscreativity 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
...It's fake to work on yourself and become a better version of who you were before? Wow, you sound miserable as fuck
[–]n0wmhat -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
that doenst work at the end of the day you either are something or you are not, why would you want to change who you are or try to fake and be something you are not?
[–]anerdscreativity 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
We as humans have a lot more power over how others perceive us than we realize. So it only makes sense that someone wanting to change that perception would begin to do so in the most practical ways. That is, clothing, exercise, dieting, etc.
If you want to see it as being something you aren't, you can. But the reality is no one was who they were today 10 years ago. They only got here by improving themselves over time, step by step.
The why should be obvious. The idea is to change your mindset. The voice in your head telling you "I don't look good. My clothes are bad. I can't do anything to look better." If you have a bad impression of yourself, why wouldn't you want to change that?
Again, it's a miserable way of thinking and no one should feel as if they must stay in that negative headspace to maintain some kind of authenticity. People should be allowed to change for the better, and usually, the people advocating against that enjoy the victimization of being in a dark place.
[–]MileHighGarris 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
You would judge somebody for actually putting in effort to look nice? lol
[–]n0wmhat -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
i mean if you are trying to fake something you are not then yeah
[–]MileHighGarris 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
So if someone is depressed and has no confidence, they're not allowed to try and pull themselves out of the rut by dressing nice... because it's fake?
[–]n0wmhat -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
why would you want to pretend to be something you are not?
[–]betterme2610 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]TruSiris 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
It's not fake to dress in clothes that make you feel good. Wtf?? Like if you are wearing what YOU want to wear and what makes you feel good then you're being authentic.
You can dress nicely in plenty of different styles. Pick one that you resonate with. A couple years ago I started being more intentional with the clothes I buy. They're nice clothes and they match my energy. It can takensome time to find what resonates for you but once you do it's easy to build on that.
[–]n0wmhat -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
i mean if you are not a trendy classy person and you try to dress like that i feel people will immediatly notice that and call you out for that.
[–]TruSiris 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
If you wear nice clothes that you enjoy then people will def call you out on that... with compliments.
[–]refreshingface 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
you can add one piece of nice clothing and wear it for like 1-2 weeks. After that period, add on another piece of nice clothing.
I.e., wear nice pants first and then add on a shirt, then shoes, etc
[–]n0wmhat 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
ease them into it huh
[–]HotPieceOfShit 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You should think: is it a bad thing to change your style and try to look better (in your very own eyes, the judge is you — you try to dress better according to yourself)?
This is what I ask myself whenever I analyse whether an action is "fake" or "being myself". Generally, you should avoid being fake and try to be yourself regardless of what others may think.
So if your answer to the question was "yes", you should change your style. If you felt like someone might judge you, you should obviously know that they're wrong — if you think that they might be right in that you shouldn't change your style, then you have to reconsider your answer to the question above.
Is it a "yes"? Then why would you care about an incorrect objection of a random idiot?
I hope this helps.

This is gonna sound complicated but it’s not; you already do this intuitively on a day to day basis and know what “looks good”. This is about developing that inner sense further and being mindful about certain things when thinking about clothes and fashion for men (esp when there’s this fear that being fashionable is feminine). Looking good and feeling confident in your threads is a big part of inner game and how you cohesively present yourself as a man to the world is everything.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
Frame: I have short legs and a long torso so I tend to gravitate towards skinny jeans with cuffed bottoms to balance out my bottom-heaviness. You want to aim for chicken legs when you got thunder thighs. On the flip side If you have already an top heavy body shape, you might look balanced with looser pants.
Proper fit: now that you know strengths and weaknesses for your body, wear clothes that properly fit. Your shirt shouldn’t be too big and loose but not skin tight either. Pants should be on the snuggier side around the hips/thighs and take the time/money to also get the length right so your pants don’t crumple on the bottom. Long sleeves shirt cuffs should end around the wrist and not too loose. Also you should be cuffing your long sleeves to show off those forearms you’ve been working out. You’re going to have to try and find the brands with the right fit and measurements for you.
Very few people are born with perfect bodies - the purpose of fashion is to make any body look good. A good rule of thumb: I SHOULD BE ABLE TO IMAGINE WHAT YOUR BODY LOOKS LIKE NAKED WHILE LEAVING SOME PARTS UP TO THE IMAGINATION.
When you feel comfortable enough with your style, feel free to throw out all the fit guidelines but for now, try to stick with the conventions until you get a better hang on what looks good.
Color: figure out what color palette works for your skin tone, season, and vibe. I’m on the tan side and my skin tints red so cool colors look good on me but I’ll also go for bright colors in spring and summer. Certain colors evoke certain memories or emotions like the color red (strong, chemistry) vs yellow (bright). Also think of classic common color combos that go well: blue/red and white, black and gold, brown and blue. This is where the variety in men’s clothing comes from blue jeans or black jeans vs. white shirt or black shirt.
Patterns and textures: it’s fall season so all the flannel patterns are coming back out. This is where people add their flair in fabric patterns they wear or different fabrics entirely. Striped shirts are classic as well but be mindful if you are vertically or horizontally extreme. Denim always works for everything but corduroy is also pretty nice too.
Shopping: okay now you know about clothes but where do you go buy them? Good places to start are the fast fashion brands like Uniqlo, H&M, Zara, Topshop or online on SHEIN: they’re always on top latest trends and you get a feel for what’s in or what’s cool (the ones that you wanna buy that don’t have your size). I like to also find good stuff at Marshall’s, Nordstrom Rack, or thrift shops. Also you have to know fashion is cyclical - the 80s-90s is cool again so one of my styles is going for timeless stuff like white T’s or a good denim button up (it’s also cheaper and easier to manage).
Closet: A good closet should have a few solid pants in rotation (shorts for the spring-summer), T-shirts, long sleeves button ups and sweaters, a few thick/thin jackets, formal wear, and shoes. You’re mostly mixing and matching colors, patterns, and textures.
Pants deserve it’s own category because finding good pants that fit you will be the hardest challenge. Some might be too loose, others too long but alterations add up so try to find a brand that fits for you. (Uniqlo and Zara has alterations for min. purchase) A man needs good jeans and chinos that’ll complement his legs and his ass.
Look: It’s good to also keep in mind the look/vibe you’re going for. This should be based on your current look and who you are as a person but a person should be able to tell your style/personality even by looking how you wear a suit as a wedding date vs a Saturday brunch. Clean and simple? Loud and colorful? Dark and moody bad boy? Clothes are an extension of us. It will determine how you wear those clothes and how they’ll fit you.
Weather: obviously where you live will dictate what you wear. I live in SoCal so shorts are big in my summer wardrobe and I don’t own a nice peak coat (but if I lived in the East Coast you fucking bet I would get a clean classic dark blue or brown one). I like my outfits to be versatile so jeans, T-shirt, and a long sleeve button up is my go-to.
Cost: I probably spend a few hundred every 6 months on new stuff for my wardrobe. Shops like Burlington’s and Marshall’s have brand name jeans for like $20-40, brand new Nike’s for $50. I’ve mentioned thrift shops before and wearing timeless stuff so that also helps keeping costs low. The saying you can’t buy taste is true. Don’t buy something unless you know you’re going to want to wear it two days in a row.
One good practice is taking the time to eye shop mindfully. Invest your time in walking into stores, feeling new clothes in your hands, or trying new stuff out even when you’re not buying anything. Learn to appreciate good threading, the texture of good fabric, and constantly imagine what’ll look good with what because it’s a world you can fall in love with. Learn to talk about design and it’ll help hone in your compliments. What person doesn’t love a man with objectively good taste?
Edit: accessorize with some good cologne, a gold chain, and a solid watch/shoes and it goes along way. Get fitting sunglasses and a haircut that fit your head shape. Perfect for those that are obsessive or have an eye for detail.

This is some great advice. Although it’s a bit intimidating for me. I don’t put any thought into what I wear. The only things I consider: how hot/cold is it going to get today? And is this shirt clean? Sniff test is a legitimate step in that process.

Look for inspiration on apps of fashion retailers. Zara, H&M, Uniqlo. I really like Zara. The models usually wear whole outfits and usually you can shop the complete fit or use it as inspiration.
[–]finderoftreasure 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Find a celebrity who’s body shape matches yours, then from that list find one with the style you want. If you have social media see if you can find blogs dedicated to them and pull photos for inspiration.
Jot down that body type and type into Google styling tips for (insert body type here)
Try to go to a very large thrift store and experiment with $50. Try to find things on your own that match these styling tips, with respect to your personal fitting preferences (loose v fitted)
Many stores have fashion consultants! Especially department stores, go into Nordstrom, and ask for help. Make sure to keep those photos handy. Someone should be able to give you more tips or even suggest specific pieces of clothing!
I like styling in my free time I do it for my guy friends all the time. Send me a message I’m willing to help out!
[–]Brainnen 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s all about how your clothes fits on you. A lot of clothes and pants you buy at the store are generally sized meaning you’ll have to take them to your local tailor to get it sized to fit your body type. I don’t know your style but Converse high tops with some good fitting pants is a timeless style.

This happened to me a few years back in my late 20’s. What worked for me was to ‘fake it till you make it’. Or said another way “act as if”.
I basically acted as if they were all attracted to me and flirted ‘ironically’… In my head I was fucking with them, not really flirting, just playing a game waiting to get called out. I was not taking the idea they fancied me seriously at all, which made me relax and say whatever I wanted.
Thing is, even though I was saying it as a joke, they were taking it literally, and it got the same results anyway.
Examples would be things like ‘you like stalking me don’t you’ or ‘when are we gonna skip to Netflix and chill’. They would reply with ‘yeah, I am a bit’ or ‘you free this weekend’.
Was mind blowing to me.
[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Haha oh god, I do this too. I never even realised.
[–]leafhog 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That’s what I learned to do in my 20s too. Just pretend that you know for certain they are into you and just talk to them.
[–]TempAcc64 160 points161 points162 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Focus on
"Do I like them? Do I ACTUALLY like them?" then taking the steps to find out if you do.
It'll take time but it'll pay off, the gym gains didn't happen in a day neither will this.
[–]TempAcc64 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you get caught up in your head "OMG WHAT DO I DO NEXT?!" or w/e just take half a second and breath through your nose. It sounds silly but it totally works!
I didn't realize to actually take the time and wonder what's past the physical. I didn't think I offered much before but I'm starting to feel a bit different about myself. Im gonna start seeing women a lot more for who they are.

[–]Damernerd 57 points58 points59 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Well it's worth mentioning that the appearance of a well maintained guy/athletic body shows dedication to taking care of oneself/stability/confidence etc. Girls are attracted to that over someone who appears to not care
[–]NilacTheGrim 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Also generally fit men seem stronger and more masculine and more capable. So that adds to the perception as well.
[–]mishaxz 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]NinetailsDestruction 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is visual but the bar isn't as high as most men like to think. I know a guy who looks like a cross between woody Allen and Charlie Chaplin, 5'10 with a Bald spot he owns it through his style and pulls most nights he is out. I go to the same bar daily and have been observing him. A man's I will smash level is = to a woman's I will entertain level. (Anything above a 3 technically has a chance with anyone else)
[–]NilacTheGrim 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They are visual but not necessarily in the exact visceral way that we are. Being fit and healthy and "strong-looking" adds value. And yes some of them are more visual than others. They vary a lot... :)

[–]autofillgreenbuddy 71 points72 points73 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Just like the gym… crawl, walk, run. You’re in a good spot, sounds like you get to be selective about your dating life at this point.
My advice is to work on holding conversations with these women and push to make lasting connections. Exchange contact info, social media, whatever. Keep building yourself socially this way and ease yourself into the flirting.
You’re killing it bro, don’t be so hard on yourself. Confidence is super attractive, just holding your own in conversation is huge. Focus less on her being into you and you being into her. Who is she? Why is she a match for you?
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
It sounds logical when you say it yet I've always felt like I'm the one trying to impress. Will try to see them on equal footing regardless of how attractive they are. It really catches me off gaurd when they approach me especially. Will try and ask them for their social media at the end of conversations now.
I'll admit I'm somewhat new to seduction. I adopted the mindset a few year ago that I was going to avoid women entirely and work on myself because the women I found attractive didn't reciprocate. I will stop that now.
[–]autofillgreenbuddy 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The more I talked, the more opportunity I had to fcuk my chances up. The less I talked, the more mysterious I seemed, and they were already interested in me. Talk less, make eye contact, and let them do the rest. Enjoy your senior year.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Thank you! I always overthink things to say when talking to them. Gonna try and shut up more to listen to them.
[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Don't focus on their appearance rather focus on being curious and getting to know their personality, see if they are as beautiful inside as they are outside. And practice some self love. Do something good for you, think of you as a worthy person. Especially if you hit the gym. Good luck!
[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Idk why I've always had self esteem issues that I can't trace the root of. I'm considered attractive by most standards yet I always overthink and see myself at a low level. I should probably see a psychologist about that. I'm not good with self love. I actually had the same exact thing told to me on a psychadelic trip recently. The drugs told me that I shouldn't see myself that negatively but I'm trying to change that. Thank you!
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
>That's coz you ONLY focus on yourself
Yeah I've felt like I've needed to focus on myself these past years. But I'm starting to be more social and outgoing with people.
I've been at the mindset that I must fix all my flaws obsessively and grow. I was really unhappy and upset with myself a few years back but, now that I have seen the progress I've done I feel accomplished and more accepting of myself.
I do need to start focusing more on the qualities of people, I've always been very in my head in a somewhat isolation from people, idk if its selfishness or just the need to want to improve, people have given me different answers. But now that I crave social interaction I've given people the benefit of the doubt.
I think that was one of the reasons why my relationship failed because I didnt accept myself or my ex. The relationship ending did make me see that months later. I wanted and still want to be really successful, I felt like I was getting complacent picturing a life settling down early and it made me unhappy. She wanted this and our goals didn't align
This was really good advice, it helped me realize some things.

Woman here, same story. On and off relationships, went tot he gym but never took it seriously, finally took it seriously and my 25 yo growth spurt kicked in. My body shape changed, my skin cleared up, and I found a style that I love.
My best advice is to protect your peace and remind yourself that you’re feeling and looking good. I do this by wearing clothes that make me feel good at the gym, taking care of my body (gym, diet, good sleep), and taking time out for my hobbies. It makes me feel confident and ready to attack anything. I have down days, and what I try to remember about the times I didn’t feel as attractive is who I am on the inside is the same person as I am now. I just appear different. Having the same friends has helped me really understand that, because the concept is harder than you think.

It's natural to feel and act this way when you're not used to it. Takes time to adjust. Was in a similar situation when I was 18, started getting attention from girls after I changed my haircut and improved my style when previously I was totally invisible to them. Had no idea what to do with all that attention so I fucked up many initial interactions. Took several years of work to finally develop game and harness that attention to my benefit.
[–]Kronuk 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah man take care of yourself and level up. I noticed it too, now I consider no girl to ever be out of reach no matter what she looks like. I’ve gotten hit on by some of the hottest girls I’ve ever seen and it made me realize there’s no leagues just myself who was holding me back.
[–]ftdrain 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You were obese, seeing yourself in a bad light is natural and will take time to deconstruct, dont be too hard on yourself, just remember that you are the prize, they have to impress you.
[–]HomeschoolProm 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah Op, same sorta thing but here’s with me: I became more outgoing in college around ppl I didn’t grow up with or from high school. When I was around the new people- no previous history- I was outgoing and fun. I noticed I revert back to my old self when I am around ppl I have a long standing history with- old friends, classmates from high school, etc.,
[–]OpenImagination9 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Top tip … relax hot women actually also have a hard time because a lot of men won’t try. If they’re flirting do the same and have fun!

Similar boat here brother, still working on building myself up, and some advice I got from a trusted source is self sabotage. In the sense that you think you’re not the type of person to pull 8-10s so your brain in an effort to maintain its ego subconsciously sabotages you when you get that attention. Something I’ve been doing (cheesy af) is doing Mantras, and affirmations. Just starting this journey so will have to update later, but good luck homie.

Guys, I'm already doing diet (lost 22 pounds), but how can i build muscle? Is there an expert I can reach (doctor?) to get the supplements and diet to build mass?
I'm trying to lose my extra weight and i'm getting close really fast and nicely. My clothes are already lose (YAY!!).
Also i'm 37yo. I'm trying to improve my game, since i'm not being lucky recently. But I have a good job, savings and better fashion sense. I'm just missing being more fit. Any tip is appreciated.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You don't need a doctor. There are 2 ways to build size; lift weights and eat a lot more than you're used to (mostly protein) or the same thing but with steroids.
[–]Necrosaro_123 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Who gave you all of these advices? GYM instructor?
I want to reach this level of fitness. Not that I want to turn myself into a body builder.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No I learned everything on my own. I powerlift not bodybuild but I can tell you that physique is very attainable with good nutrition and consistency. You'll have to go on bulk cut cycles probably. Look into progressive overload, I'd focus on the basics of squat bench and deadlift as those gave me a lot of size and muscle quickly. Also get good night's sleep.
[–]Necrosaro_123 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
powerlift
Thanks!. I will try that. Good tip.

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to women finding me attractive too, but I arrived at this point in my early 40s, but it's super empowering to see chicks paying attention to you...took me a while to recognize it as such too because my narc sibling had convinced me that I was a good-for-nothing goofball all my life.
Anyway, now I view this ability to get attention from spicy women as sort of a superpower, and test the waters to see how much they will take compliments and innuendos, and then progressively push the envelope...which like others have suggested is quite a safe approach while still building on my self-esteem and also not overstep my bounds.
[–]Kapoof2 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You are finding out that muscles are just part of the equation.
Having been a skinny kid turned chubby by meds, I reclaimed my fitness at the age of 18 and had the same experience as you.
The truth is that while we fixed our body as much as we can, and had great results, our mind is a much more complicated beast to tame. Hell, I'm still working on it over a decade later.
Inside you still feel like the guy from before. Hell, you may even feel insulted like "where the hell has this been my whole life?" I know I felt that way.
I would suggest doing some internal work, whether that be therapy, or just by doing things to remind yourself of the man that you have become.
The mind needs exercise just as much as your core does, idk bout you but I train core daily when I am training.
Lol If you consider bracing core for the powerlifts then I also train abs daily. I also need to see a psychologist about this, I have self esteem issues that I can't trace the root of. Been working on it though, my mind is definitely in a better headspace that when it was a few months ago.
[–]Kapoof2 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good for you for even acknowledging the problem in the first place, it really is one of the most difficult parts.
And yes, powerlifts and other full body movements will do just fine ;)
[–]LeaderOfWolves 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes dude exact same problem & it's been fuckin with my head... I'll rewind tge entire interaction & realize wgat I should have said/done... Shit been killing me

did you lose weight or gain at the gym?
from skinny to bulk or heavy to lean?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I have an image in my post history. Basically from obese to skinny to buff.
[–]majkkali 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
May I ask how much time did it take you to achieve it?
6 months losing weight from 235->200 in on a very aggressive cut. Don't recommend it. Bulked up from 200->225 in 1 1/2 years after I lost the weight with powerlifting style training.
In regards to lifts I started and currently at
Squat:65->300 Bench press 65->260 Deadlift 135->460(attempting 475 on friday)
[–]majkkali 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have been in a similar situation, got myself into great shape and started dressed much better and felt much more confident in myself.
However, I had the complete opposite reaction from women IRL. Women my age used to be much friendlier to me and would even approach me from time to time. Whereas now, they're a lot more cold and standoffish to me, and give off those deer in headlights kind of vibes; they treat me like I'm a bear or something.
Tinder though is like shooting fish in a barrel.
Literally every other demographic treats me far better now though.

What's interesting is that you seem to think that a woman that YOU find more attractive is somehow also so different from a woman you find less attractive, that you malfunction. They are still both women & while perhaps most people with agree with you that woman A is not as attractive as woman B, you've somehow convinced yourself that they are world's apart instead of just women. It sounds like you're psyching yourself out, which may have more to do with how YOU see YOU, your own self worth.
[–]bandsupjay 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hmm. Maybe nervousness? That “thinking” though about thinking you can’t get hot girls. Are you watching porn? I find that I get more nervous and think I can’t get any girls despite my success when I fall into porn. To me though it sounds like subconsciously you think you aren’t good enough. You can try fixing that and just know you are good enough and look at the evidence you have resulting that. Gl
Another solution I have for you is stop pedestalizing hot girls and thinking so much. Relax, allow yourself to be yourself and just stop caring so much about outcomes or anything. Treat it like a regular conversation and allow your authentic self to come out when she flirts with you. Whatever appears for you in that moment say it, judging that it’s not totally beyond inappropriate for the context.
[–]Agreeable-You9777 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Treat them like a potential friend, act like you’re not interested, or act like you’re into their friend. I always get good results when I do this. Girls say I’m so easy to talk to (thought I was awkward and weird to talk lmao). You don’t feel pressured so you don’t act weird but rather confident and smooth. You’ll be talking about normal stuff rather than hitting on her so she’ll say stuff like this. “Why isn’t he into me?” “Why is he interested in my friend when I’m hotter?”. It’ll drive her crazy and want to talk to you more. Then all you have to do is just talk about anything you want and it’s game over
[–]theAliasOfAlias 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Seduction is about enticing a woman to be open and flirty. You do that by stimulating and activating their inner little girl. Next time a 10 approaches you, imagine what she would look like as a 5 year old with pigtails and braces. Then ask the question: “do I like the personality this girl’s parents have instilled in her?” It’s as simple as that.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Rewiring the brain can be hard. We are social animals and we are self conscious of our standings on the pack. But those standings change faster than we perceive. You went from taken to single. But now you have been validated by your ex , so you gained ranks from being fit but also from being a stable partner.
There is no Shame in going 404 on a 10. But once you fuck a 10, nothing the world can send your way will caught you flat footed. One of my highest achievements at work was when i took a leadership position and have to deal with other managers. The most feared was a 6" ginger that spent her hours at the gym. She had the habit of making absurd demands from other teams and get away with it. She used her assets to overwhelm males with height and looks.
That didnt worked on me.
I had a 10 once. I had felt the love and desire of a woman so beautiful that not even Gisele Bundchen could 404 me, much less that red witch.
I kept looking her in the eyes and when she tried to use height and body language to establish dominance i resorted to full boredom mode: look, i AM a nice guy, i treat people equally, you are asking me to give your team better treatment, and the whole reason i AM respected at my job is because i dont do that.
Then i quickly changed my eyes to her boobs ass and lips and elevated my voice: i dont that at ALL! She understood that i considered her assets stunning but irrelevant for my decision. Around the 3rd time she tried that BS on me she decided to support my decisions instead of questioning them.

If you're doing this good now.. wait until you get to be over 30. They fall out of the sky (for some men) after that age. I dunno what it is -- I think women just in general are attracted to older men or to men that seem sufficiently aged.
If you are doing this good now you will absolutely clean up after 30. Just keep that in mind when weighing out your life plan..
Source: Am over 40 now.. I was doing ok after college and I thought it couldn't get much better. Boy was I wrong. After age 30 it was .. well.. sexual nirvana for me!
I keep hearing that about men once they hit 30 but part of me was always skeptical. I got advice once that I shouldn't settle down until those years because that's when life truly becomes amazing for a man. Kinda hard when my lizard brain keeps wanting to be with a girl.
[–]NilacTheGrim 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah I think if you can, it's better to meet someone and marry them in your 20s tbh. Or at least to get with girls in your 20s if you can. By no means should you wait but if you are the kind of guy that is skeptical of being married early, and your calculus involves things like "omfg she's good enough I am not sure I can do better and I'm getting older.. OMFG I'll be 30 soon and maybe I will never find someone" -- if that is your motivation for settling down, then it is wrong. In that it is likely factually wrong in that in your 30s you will have higher single-market value. Even women in their 20s by and large like older men.
Now.. if you do find someone in your 20s that is awesome and you are marriage-minded that early -- by all means get married. Married life gets a bad rap in mainstream media and in movie but it's pretty awesome, tbh. And starting a family early is a great way to meet one of those major life goals that is super rewarding and gives you a higher purpose.

That makes a lot of sense.
I’m not as fit as you describe but as a teen girls never looked at me. But as a extremely confident man with a good smile and thick facial hair I definitely have eyes look my way.
I’ve always found it to be kinda shallow people are that way cause I much prefer someone have genuine interest into me as I do for them but that’s how it is.

Yep. Over 3 years that anxiety will fade and you will turn into a different person. You'll get used to it. Your views on girls will completely shift and won't align with friends as a result. I know from experience. Guys are in awe of me now when I effortlessly go up to a beautiful girl, talk to her, dance, make out with her, and get her number.
[–]excentrik-art 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Try not to view girls as the prize, putting them on the piedestal.
TRY (and fail many times) TO THINK THAT : Those girls approach you to actually talk to you about stuff, life, friends and familly. Just talk about values, politics, what you like and dislike. No hidden agenda, no lies, no sexual innuendos. View them as your potential friends .... (in case you look for LTR).
[... if you are not looking for LTR, or the girls is hot but for the streets, well, treat her accordingly. Never respect her, never treat her seriously, never trust her. Just enjoy the ride and get the hell out as soon as it looks like trouble and leave no traces]

gives me error code 404.
Like everything, exposure creates familiarity and your system can't throw that panic every time, well it can if it's a deeper phobia but it's probably just nerves. Just keep doing it and trying to talk to them normally as often as possible.

What style do you have like what brands do you shop
Not a particular brand. I mostly dress with athletic clothing and wear shirts with bands I like. It usually attracts the girls that are into this stuff. Either fit chicks or big tiddy goths
Like bro I had a fine 18 yo girl I was hangin with playing pingpong/pool & we were vibing goid hitting it off but she has a bf who wasn't even there oddly but w/e.. Then Her cute female friend pops out of nowhere & they start talkin bout how they have off tomorrow & how they're doing shrooms & smoking at their place 5 minutes away... I was like... Ok badass sounds like an awesome time i love that stuff! But like... Wtf was I supposed to do? Invite myself? So the bitches left me there, no invite... Still pissed.. I see her again I'm telling her don't even talk to me 😠

girls approaching you? interesting, that normally never happens and normally never will, some people think the world is slowly changing in this regard, however, i think it will forever be in the extreme minority for women to approach a guy, the burden or damn testosterone will keep it that way
Where are you when you get approached?
In school usually. Last time it happened was at a Starbucks line when a girl behind me started talking to me. Sometimes when I'm just studying somewhere or at the end of class as I'm walking out a girl followed and talked to me while I was walking to the gym.

Work on your conference once you feel good within yourself your unstoppable and it’s a numbers game the more women you talk to the easier it gets the more confident you become and everyone loves a confident person, pretty girls are just as insecure as average girls and half the time guys are too scared to approach them So just be cool, relaxed and confident, good luck 👍
