You dont. You concentrate on your health and getting out of poverty. Could you get laid? Yea, but that should not be your priority right now.
[–]MarcusAurelius1815 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
As others have said and summarised here by Paddywacknack, you don't need to concern yourself with getting laid rather getting out of poverty should be your only goal.

Is it even possible to date or have friends or have any since of pride when living in poverty?
Yeah it's possible. We are all learning here, on how to be successful in the dating game.
It has nothing to do with money. One of my friends works as a cook, making $14 an hour, lives with his mom, no licenses, in his 30s and he sleeps with multiple girls, weekly (till this day, I'm still amazed). And he is very average looking. He is just extremely extremely laid back and girls come to him. He never hesitate and always says what ever is on his mind, no matter how controversial.
Once you know the seduction game, you are set. My friend is trying to train me in his ways. But can't quite figure it out
Edit) it's crazy how people are so doubtful of this. Just because a guy doesn't have a lot of money, doesn't mean he can't pick up loads of women. This is a real thing. If you can't believe, maybe you should look at your own values

But there are women everywhere

[–]boycott-mondays 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
No I go to the bars with him... They come and they always drive him home..
Why are people so skeptical of this... This is real
[–]SlightlyConfusedGuy 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
Haha something about them driving him home is hilarious. This guy is a legend.
I suppose his confidence about his lifestyle and him communicating well does a lot to attract others. He seems so interesting I even want to know more about him.
[–]boycott-mondays 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
It sucks because I'm 29 years old and a virgin and this guy is slaying
I work part time at the restaurant he works at, but I have a second job where I make 70k a year and I have my own apartment
I am no where near this guy level.
[–]SlightlyConfusedGuy 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Can I ask why are you working part time at a restaurant? If you already have a good paying job and your own place maybe you can use your free time to invest in hobbies, join clubs, go to the gym and live your life the way you want instead of chasing girls.
Women can sense when you are being needy and that is the most unattractive trait. They want to be around someone interesting, who shows initiative and is honest about their goals and aspirations.
Check out Mark Manson's book Models as it touches a lot about this. Don't focus on chasing girls, focus on yourself and the grind and the girls will be a byproduct.

I'm in college
[–]akawall22 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I'm guessing you're trying to finish school with little to no debt, but is it worth dedicating time you could be using to experience new things and learn new traits and hobbies, doing a part time job?
I'm a chef... I'm learning how to make food lol... Yes, I have no college debt, and plan on keeping it that way
[–]PrestigiousAd3515 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Surely if you go to parties and clubs you’ll eventually get laid ?
[–]PrestigiousAd3515 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yea I feel you but what I mean is 70k a year means you can pretty much afford a lot of things that can improve your looks or how you portray yourself ,a gym membership ,a healthy lifestyle, good skin care ,idk bro I’m still hella young only 16 so I don’t know if I should be giving you tips 😭

Yea I feel you but what I mean is 70k a year means you can pretty much afford a lot of things that can improve your looks or how you portray yourself ,a gym membership ,a healthy lifestyle, good skin care....
You've just listed off a bunch of things that are not social skills either.
Good skin care doesn't help you start a conversation.
Having a gym membership doesn't help you navigate conversations better.
Having a healthy lifestyle doesn't help you magically know how/when to make moves.
But that's okay: that stuff is good for you and it does help with confidence, which is a necessary thing.
The tip here would be to make sure that, in addition to confidence building things, one is also making sure not to neglect their social skills. Half of the equation is having the foundational skills that allow you to do other things like hold a conversation, make people feel feel comfortable, get people to talk about themselves, and so on.
Which all boils down to two things:
Actively listening: devoting all your brain power to really listening to the other person instead of thinking of what you're going to say while they're talking.
Good follow-up: after you've been listening to someone, actually respond specifically to something they actually just said. It's especially helpful to ask people about why they did things or how they felt about them.

Eh, I'm in the same range and I haven't even gotten a second date in the last year. People that think women automatically come with money are probably thinking of escorts.
He's been reading this thread, right? Literally the point is that money is not game.
Seduction is a social interaction which requires social skills. Money is not a social skill.
What the guy's talking about only reinforces this and yet you're still kind of focused on this thing that we've established isn't really a factor.

What other advice did your homeboy share with you?
[–]Moderatorrecyclablebanthas 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Not him but pulled off casual sex quite often while living at home some years back.
When I was doing this, I did take people back home occasionally. But way more frequently, I was ending up at the girls' places because the family home was out in the suburbs and everybody I was meeting was downtown, 30 minutes away. By the time sex came up it, their place was closer so we just went there.
I suppose his confidence about his lifestyle and him communicating well does a lot to attract others.
It can also be just having confidence in yourself; the living situation doesn't even need to come up.
When you're gaming half an hour away from where you live, where you live doesn't even need to come up unless you're in an LTR.
[–]st3636 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'd have no problem biking to & fro my girl's place, big city. Also, one without a place but with the means could even book a hotel room every now and then. Renting a place only for making a potential partner happy is stupid IMHO

Work in the restaurant industry, steady supply of new waitresses coming through, go out after work with coworkers, smash, repeat.
Did this throughout college.

[–]SebastianPatel -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link
why not just go after the waitresses when eating at the restaurant? You can complement them that they have pretty eyes or something and then at the end of the meal, write your number on the receipt and tell them to text you. I figure try this with 100 hot waitresses, at least 10 might text?
[–]_Loup_Garou_ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Waitresses hate that from what I’ve heard. Would much prefer the guy straight up ask for their number instead of “not having the balls to ask for theirs”. Their words not mine.
[–]st3636 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Waitresses are just way too busy, outcome might turn out the same as hitting on a girl @ gym. Barladies tend to be WAY more talkative, like you could likely end with one giving a number away herself should she be single & inclined to. Just respect them all the time, be nice to them and let them do their chores, and you'll be friendzoned in no time, then you'll have the chance to flirt with them and get more, should they be inclined to.
Saying this because i know a cute girl who used to be a waitress at one place i picked up food from as a deliveryman (often she'd be the one giving it to me) and she was pretty busy, though she liked me very much (whenever i went here to buy something for me, she'd be the one smiling all the time and giving me hefty discounts or even free food; even began always greeting me with "Hey, how it's goin" in a flirty manner at some point). Avoided holding her up, and i even acknowledged it to her in a friendly/jokingly way ("You seem to be a very busy girl don't you 🙂"). Now she's switched place, became a barlady there, met her last Sunday and we finally enjoyed a nice chat in front of a coke. Clearly attracted to me but already taken (if not, by then she would have been the one to make the first move) so it's a friendzone/orbiter situation (can now tell even without asking out and getting rejected, perhaps they think "What a clever guy, he clearly understands i'm taken so he's not outright asking me out, yet he's still flirting with me"), but the bottom line is, way easier to hit on this way.

That is an awful idea. If she's cute, she hears that line from every single guy. It comes off as creepy. And not just a little..
You can do it. I'm just dubious about that 10%.
Befriending lots of new waitresses as a delivery man (bicycle, hilly city, so pretty fit; basically i look like a muscular G-Man from HL:Alyx), guess i'll just have to wait for the single/just broke up one to somehow slip through then

Doea he wear nice clothes and have chicks around him?
[–]st3636 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Had one of them start approaching me last March. "Hey, how you doin" while outside the restaurant and messing around with my handheld ham radio, and making a little exception about social distancing only for me when i came inside. Liked to come so close to me, basically liked to rub against me, almost like she trusted me as an alpha.
Eventually asked her out. Answer: "It's like i've accepted, because my bf is jealous". Wanted to ask her "Then why the fuck were you trying to lead me on? You just like to fuck around with lonely guys like me dontcha?" Actually reworded this very sentence in a way more mellow tone, and she replied "Because you're so cute".
TL:DR if you're actually attractive some of them will approach you even if they're already taken, only to friendzone you once you ask them out
[–]Yujir0Hanma 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My man, there are 2 options I can see here - the dude is full of it, or hes literally the bigges a hole around. Ive known tons of guys with such success, men with that abundance of girls have no problem sharing where they meet them, I would assume with that success he could easily just take u as a wingman. In my glory days if I had a bloke who was 29 yo and a virgin, Id fucking make sure he scores the next weekend we go out
[–]EU-Howdie 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
True !! I had a friend 34 still a virgin. And he was looking good, but so unexperienced and therefore very unsure. So we went to the bar but he did not know what to do. I asked him, what woman do you like. He pointed out one in a group of 4 younger women. I started small talk with this group of 4 women. I concentrated (small talk) with the three others and he with the one he liked. And he stayed all night with her, but not had sex. But the night after that he met another woman, she was in a relation but after he told her his story they took a room in a hotel and stayed all night and she slept with him. Haha, mission impossible but still accomplished. NO, not impossible, but at some moment it just happens. Sometimes with .. a little help of friends (old song I think from Joe Potato)

[–]tryrforrob 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And btw some night wed even have fun saying me or my wing are virgins and teasing the girls not to break him or playfully accuse of wanting to get advantage of him before his dream wedding in an irish chappel in the middle of woods with everyone dressed as little cute leprechauns (insert some dumbass shit here u know what I mean). If this guy goes out like he says - Get this guy to take u out to the club, u have an amazinf asset at your hands :)

I was also in a similar situation as this guy and still had a fair amount of casual sex while living at home. It's not a myth at all. Inner game can make up for a lot.
I will say that the one issue became that LTRs do suffer when one is living at home because that's when your living situation does come into play. Casual sex is one thing but LTRs will not last too long when your financial house is not in order.

Tips for solid inner game? I've always thought you need everything in order b4 trying to go out and get more girls
[–]Moderatorrecyclablebanthas 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Tips for solid inner game?
There are no shortcuts. No magic tricks. Good solid inner game involves grinding in real life. Basically we're talking about things like:
Finding something to challenge yourself. Taking up something new that you have to learn and work to get better at.
This can be any number of things. Rock climbing, martial arts, dancing, a foreign language. Running is also another good one.
Whatever it is it needs to be something that tests you but that you can get better at with hard work.
Going through this kind of challenge can help you learn that you can trust yourself and that you can do good things even when outside of your comfort zone.
That handles confidence but another important skill is active listening and this one is much easier to develop.
Focus on putting all your senses out into the world instead of being in your head overthinking stuff.
Put all your brain power into soaking in everything someone says when you're talking to them. Refocus on them if you start mulling over what you want to say next while someone else is talking. (You shouldn't be thinking about what to say next when someone else is talking.)
Being in observation mode is extremely helpful. When everyone is out in public, there are always a lot of things going on. There's a constantly changing situation and it can be commented on.
Such observations can easily be conversations starters but usually we keep these things to ourselves because we think starting a conversation needs to be something special.
What we overlook is the fact that sharing observations is a simple and yet special thing because people usually don't do it.
I've always thought you need everything in order b4 trying to go out and get more girls
The thought process that you need to have everything in order and perfect before you can go date at all, is the voice of insecurity in your head.
We all have to deal with that shit.
But it's false. A lot of things are possible before you've gotten everything in order. A lot of people can date while still living at home or without having a great job. In fact it's more common than not.
Appreciate the feedback

I personally would worry more about fixing your financial situation first than trying to get dates. Your own well being is more important than securing sex or a date. Additionally, having more money will help you attract more women as well.

These are all possible side effects that are listed as side effects with every manufacturer that is manufacturing them. Death has been added to the list as well as around 13,000 have died already im the states from it. Usually they pull a vaccine when it is causing so much harm but this is an entirely different beast. It isn’t about health
[–]__euphoria____ 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
You’re at much much higher risk of having lasting adverse side effects if you actually catch covid. Considering the vaccine is extremely effective at preventing these, it makes the vaccine by far the lesser of two evils.
For reference, nearly 23% of covid patients develop long lasting symptoms, with up to 10% overall. For the vaccine, it is 1 in 100,000, to 1 in 12.8 million for serious side effects (like the ones you mentioned). So, in essence, you’re about 100,000 to million times more likely to be better off getting the vaccine, versus getting COVID itself.

Im not scared of catching covid there is a 99.97 recovery rate. I have confidence with my health thank you. Please respect my opinion. Get your vaccine if you want it. Not your place to tell others what do with their choices and body.
[–]__euphoria____2 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I wasn’t referring to the mortality rate, I was referring to the chance of long term symptoms similar to what it seemed you were referring to with the vaccine. There is about a 10% chance of having long term symptoms from COVID (see sources I provided).
I don’t respect your opinion or your choice and think they are stupid based on the evidence that is available.
However you are free to have them.

I just don’t like when new lockdowns are enforced and healthcare is denied because hospitals get filled up with COVID patients (99% of which are unvaccinated). Not to mention costing tax payers much more money than what a vaccine shot costs.
So your selfish choice is negatively affecting society as a whole, while being founded on a basis of ignorance and irresponsibility, which is why I dislike you for having it.
Its not a selfish choice actually. If you are vaccinated you have the same viral load as an unvaccinated person as well. It is not stoping the spread of covid at all. So alot of people who have the vaccine are getting it . Also there are alot of side effects that could happen and im not comfortable taking it. You are being extremely rude and condescending its not “ your way pf the highway” life doesn’t work like that. We all have different opinions and i have family members , coworkers and patients who have suffered from this. Excuse my english but bug off if your going to go at me. Your talking to a wall. I don’t respect people who dont respect others views. Leave me alone because this is not a discussion anymore you are attacking me .
You should definitely not respect all opinions!
Many horrible opinions have been given way too much traction throughout history:
The list goes on and on…
There are many stupid opinions that should not be respected and instead shunned, as they inhibit societal progress, and inflict harm and suffering on others, such as anti-vaccine views.
If you looked at the statistics and evidence I provided, you would see that mass vaccinations would lead to a much better outcome for society than letting covid run its course, both on an individual and collective level.
Well u should listen to my opinion since i am a health care worker i am working it in it. We are loosing several nurses and health care workers such as myself all over our country because of these mandates , police have been protesting the mandates same with firefighters. Have you been a responder before and seen first hand whats happening? I dont think you have room to comment if you dont. And honestly i dont care about your opinion i care about my colleagues opinions and the hundreds of nurses who know a thing or two about what your talking about.
Please stay in your lane
If you are really a frontline worker, you would see how many people are dying from covid, and horrible and debilitating it can be.
I lost family members and friends due to being full of their own ignorance and refusing to get the vaccine or take covid-related health mandates seriously. So it’s a topic that I care deeply about.
Your argument is based on the fallacy of authority and anecdotal evidence which is hearsay. There is absolutely no logical substance to it. I provided peer-reviewed statistics and studies to back my argument, so it is very much based on the facts.
I’m glad that they are mandating healthcare workers to get the vaccine, and firing those who don’t. Healthcare workers expose themselves to people who are especially vulnerable to COVID since they are at the hospital for already being ill. Reducing the chance of healthcare workers acting as vectors of transmission is especially important because of this.
I’m open to having my mind changed based on a reasonable and logical argument based on real evidence verified by legitimate sources, but you haven’t provided anything of substance yet.
You have no idea. Whoever you are listening to is wrong. Come to the hospital and see for yourself. Do that for your own anxiety. We have always been extremely short staffed in nursing this is nothing new. This virus is being used to capitalize on fear and to push through a much bigger agenda such as tyrannical governments when we little freedoms. I would focus more on that then a fear of this virus itself. You really have no business saying things and telling health care workers how they should feel , we are in it and always been short staffed!!!! Wake up!!!!
And see what, exactly? The ICU filled with people on ventilators slowly dying from COVID because they didn’t get vaccinated?
Why is this specific vaccine infringing on our rights so much? Tons of other vaccines have been mandatory for a long time in order to fully participate in our society. The lockdowns from people not getting vaccinated seem like much larger infringements on our freedoms than getting the vaccine itself. I’m not sure I understand your argument here.
I acknowledge there is a shortage of nurses, but the experts have decided that it is better to have fewer vaccinated nurses, than having more vaccinated and unvaccinated nurses due to how easily transmittable and debilitating COVID is. Besides, all these unvaccinated nurses have easy access to get vaccinated at this point in North America should they want to continue working in healthcare.
🤦♀️
.06% of people who catch covid end up in ICQ . Who are the hundreds of people you speak of? The pcr test that they use has been deemed fragulent by many sources and WHO has said that the test cannot decipher between the common flu from covid 19. That is fact. Some people are in the hospital with phenomena and flu like symptoms that older people are dealing with. Did you know the vaccine is not stopping the spread? There was a school that had an outbreak yesturday where 97% of students tested positive and all were vaccinated. Did you also realize that people who have had the jabba jabba have also had an increase of death by 25%? Why do you think so many health care professionals are walking out? Why are police officers and higher authorities refusing the mandates?
I dont care about your articles work in the environment and then come talk to me
Thats ok you dont have to. I wish you peace and happiness🌺

Nope ive had many up to date shots and do believe that some do help but my colleagues and i do not feel comfortable taking a vaccine that has had so many side effects and isnt helping with the actual spread . But you do whats best for you. And we can do whats best for us. Lets have respect for both sides.
You're fine though, still. Lemme slide up on your DMs 🥴
Why do you have to resort to condescending remarks if someone shares a different view point? Is that how you address differences within work and conflicts? Surly you know how to properly communicate by now.
I am amazed you would construe my comment to be condescending and then extrapolate that to how one would resolve differences at a work setting. Bravo.

Just because it wAs okay for you doesn’t mean it is for everyone. Check out the adverse effects on the vears website for adverses effects and it already lists 18,000 people with permanent disabilities. 13,000 dead and a long list of other things like heart attacks or blood clots. I also known plenty of coworkers who have had complications with their hearts including some of my patients at the hospital. A few co workers had to take a month off at a time because there symptoms would not allow them to work. I dont think it really fair to draw a conclusion that since it was “ ok” for you it was ok for everyone.

Get into shape if your not already. Read ‘Models’ by Mark Manson. I recommend reading Leil Lowndes ‘How to Talk to Anyone’. But that’s if you are not a good communicator. Join meetups and social groups or Facebook events. They have free events people can go too socialize and make friends. Be positive and cheerful, even if you have to fake it. People will be drawn to you like a magnet. I hear if you act a certain way eventually it will become who you are. You’ll want to be a positive cheerful socially outgoing and charismatic individual. Those are things most women find attractive. If you can be those things they will notice and you’ll have there attention. They say you have work on yourself to be able to attract women and it’s true. There are great dating books to read if your ready. Another good one is “Dating Sucks You Don’t” by Connell Barrett.

Would it though? First dates are a semi vetting process to see who the other person is and what they’re about.
“So what do you do for work?” “Do you drive?” “Do you have your own place? “What’s the longest relationship you’ve been in?” “Why are some places you’ve traveled?” “What are your dreams/passions in life? “What are the craziest experiences you’ve had so far?
Dude it will be a nightmare and a potentially traumatizing event for you if the woman isn’t an absolute saint and extremely empathetic.

If I were you, I'd focus on improving myself before jumping head-first into trying to meet women. Regarding money - can you find an apprentice program and learn a trade? Contact your local community college; sometimes there are programs that cover tuition costs to help you complete a degree or certificate program that can help you gain job skills.
Another thing I'd focus on is physical wellness. Get a gym membership (Planet Fitness memberships start at $10/month if there's one in your area), or go to Walmart and buy a couple dumbbells and get started that way. Watch what you eat; you don't need to go on a super strict diet, but making some key changes can make a huge difference (e.g., favoring complex carbs over simple ones, eating a variety of fruits and veggies, etc). I've had some success going on a Paleo-ish diet, but YMMV. If you can get into better shape, I think it'll give you a general confidence boost.
Also, consider seeing a therapist! There's no shame in seeking help for your mental health. If you can't afford one, see if there are any nonprofits in your area that offer some kind of behavioral health services; when I was in college, there was a free mental health clinic run by psychology students (although it may have only been available to students, not the general public, I can't remember).
Anyway, those are three places I think you could start that would help you gain some confidence and get to a better place in your life. Once you make some progress, then maybe you'll feel like you're better able to tackle your dating goals.

[–]rewinder909 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Then fix your health, physically and mentally. Then go on to get a girl. Work on yourself first and fix your problems before you do anything else. Start today

Here’s the brutal honesty:
You’re 40, never been on a date, and you’re living with your parents because you’re not financially independent. I don’t want to say this to be mean, but most women would find this to be off-putting.
The only possible women you can find to date are going to be women who is in similar situation that you are in.
I saw your comments about not being vaccinated. Guess what? You want to get a job? Maybe remove your political thinking aside and bite the bullet.
It seems like you are doing absolutely nothing to improve your situation, and you are coming across stubborn. Maybe if you implemented the ideas people have given you instead of making excuses, you can improve your life.
Make changes. Get a job. Maybe go to school. Learn a trade. Make more money so you can be at least financially independent. If you are not in good physical shape, then gradually workout.
Only you can make the changes. Instead of asking this question in hopes that you get validation from others. It seems like you refuse to listen to ideas or suggestions.
If you keep this up, you’re unfortunately never going to go on a date. You’re not getting any younger at age 40. Sorry, i know my post is coming harsh, but you need to realize reality.
If you need a woman’s touch badly, save some money for a hooker.
At least take care of the physical shape. An already taken girl made a clear point she found me real cute and would have dated me immediately if her bf allowed it. Athletic shape you get by delivering food on a bicycle every day and a little workout at home is all it takes, no need for gym membership.

I am almost 40 years old. I have never done anything in life except waste it away.
I wasted my entire youth.
Fun is expensive, and sex is some of the most fun you can have.
Sex is a luxury for straight men unless you were born naturally extremely beautiful. The rest of us normal schmucks have to work hard to become attractive; you must invest in your health, your career, and your personality constantly. The earlier you do that, the better.
Aside from your unfortunate head injury, according to your own admissions, you've totally failed to invest in yourself. As a result, you're getting no results.
Can you have friends? Of course! But it gets harder for everyone as we age to connect platonically with others.
Will you be hooking up with quality women at your leisure? Will you find a quality girlfriend? You will have to turn things around in a big way. Moping around here won't work: read the sidebar and fix yourself.

I'm currently focusing on my inner game not on dating. Im 24 moved back in with my parents to pay off student loans.. When you take control of your finances, physical and mental health the dating just falls naturally into place
Mystery said that every guy needs health, wealth, and love (Mazlo's pyramid of needs) in order for us to attract partners
While your focusing on yourself that doesn't mean you need to stop practicing on your confidence. You can still practice learn seduction on women and not be financially and emotionally invested into dating, rotations, or LTR's.
There's alot of career options for people who don't go to college and trade schools to learn valuable skills. My friend got a plumbing license and makes 70k a year just taking a course at community College

You’re a little value male because you have chosen to be a low value male. You could make changes but I think you want a pat on the back and told you were OK. When you’re not OK. At 40 to be couch surfing? Don’t bring some woman into your life. Women deserve better. Take a couple years and fix yourself. It sounds like you want to go on dates so the woman will pay for you and there are cheap women who will do that but you will get the woman you deserve. First, the bad news and, then, the good news. Yes, you need to have resources and status to get a quality woman. I’m not saying all women are gold-diggers. But, put yourself in their shoes. They want to be feminine and have a masculine man take care of things. You need to improve all areas of your life. Now, the good news! You are nowhere near out of the game. There are guys in their sixties that have rebuilt themselves after being knocked down. First, but the thoughts of sex and relationships aside for awhile. You need to get into physical, financial, and spiritual shape. Start with a good diet. Cut out junk food. Make snacks and sodas what they were meant to be: treats! Get physically in shape by starting slow and gradually improving yourself. There are fitness centers that are inexpensive and trainers that are available. Tip: don’t be tempted to flirt with female gym patrons. You might come off as a creep and you’ll be kicked out, STAT! With employers begging for workers, you have a lot of options for good paying work. Even the gas station near my house is starting clerks at $15/hr! Work two jobs. Live off the income of the lower paying job and bank the cash from the higher paying job. Focus on getting that drivers license! I don’t know if your head injury hampers your ability drive. If not, make this a priority, too. Save up for a reliable car, too. Join a good, Bible-believing church, too. You are a rudderless ship without Christ. Focusing on yourself will attract quality women. You will find one with similar interests and it’ll make conversations easier. Also, read the book, “No More Mr. Nice Guy”. This will help you personally and professionally. If your goal is to just obtain “nookie”, you’ll fail miserably. Finally, work on being mentally tough. The best people in their respective fields are mentally tough. Best of luck to you!

28 yo kv+hv. Trust me, you can get friends. And, if really lucky, even more. It's just that economy's pretty fucked up. I'm living with parents as well, no car (no real sense in having one though, living in a big city, a scooter might make more sense), not making lots of money either though i have a STEM degree but pretty fit (bike deliveryman+some workout taking place @ home), yet i'm making lots of friends by now. Restaurant workers who seem to love my military-like yet laid back attitude, more specifically. Always getting nice discounts from them.
Lots of gorgeous barladies friendzoning me as well, feel the only thing keeping me from, let's put it nicely, getting romantic with them, is that they're all already taken, but many of them act all flirty with me, like they'd be more than willing to, were them single, one even told me that straight away. Sometimes i like to pretend to be their bf and get emotional with them (asking them if they feel alright, complimenting them on their voice, and things like that), and they show real happiness. Happy with that, for the moment. Tindering, Bumbling, speed dating like mad. When it'll happen, it'll surely be unforgettable.
Keep in mind, living with parents and not having a car doesn't necessarily mean you're a man-child. It's a matter of attitude. One thing is deliberately refusing to grow up. Huge turnoff. Another one is having to make do, and be confident and successful at it. Girls wanna feel protected.

is speed dating good? Do good quality women come to those? I always see speed dating events but I never go. I figure why would attractive women go to that?
I guess it all boils down to your own standards. Went to one, saw gorgeous ones in their early 30s too. Ones not too different from the barladies i'm always speaking about. Ones i'd personally find attractive. Some of them just broke up and are just plain busy with their work.

Hello brother, I am soon to turn 32 and I am much like you.
I am only housed thanks to social services. Back in 2018, I got into "cold approach day game".
I was 28 and 1/4 at the time and whilst I was at work, scrubbing a van, I thought to myself "there has to be more to this life than sitting inside a van, scrubbing the floor"
And then it hit me: somehow, I had made it to the age of 28 and 1/4 having never had anything to do with women in a "man to woman" way, whatsoever.
No hand holding, no kissing and certainly no "man parts to woman parts" intimacy.
I quit my job and got into cold approach day game. Like when you are first riding a bicycle I remember thinking "wow, I am actually doing it!
Unfortunately, after a string of incidents related to day game, my life took a downward turn, but that's a story for another time.
My point is, if you don't have a "real life" then dating is almost nigh on impossible. Without a job you aren't really "in" society, so to speak and it will make you even weirder.
I don't think you can get laid or get a girlfriend without a job and without your own place.
I will likely be in the same situation as you at 40. Just be glad you are probably 1/2 through the suffering!

Either wait until you're in a better position, or be ready for someone with an equal number of Cons (on a potential partner pros and cons evaluation) as you have.
Doesn't sound like you have time to waste.
The following criticism is based on experience, not superiority: Right now, quite frankly, the reason your pride is feeling beaten down is because now is not the time to be feeling proud. Now is the time to be feeling the anxiety. Your body and your brain are telling you to get moving and find the solution. Even if you can't arrive at anything perfect, having gone through all the options and arrived at the best solution available to you well at least ease the feeling of needing to do something. When you're in the following state: 1. Making weekly/monthly progress, real progress, on improving your position. 2. You have arrived at the place where you've for the time being truly done all you can do on all the fronts/areas/problems facing you that you're aware of, and you're ready to tackle next steps/new problems as they come in. 3.truly and honestly assessed your value to a partner, (and they're not screwing around too much at that age I imagine) and have assessed A, current appeal, B, what expectations are currently reasonable, C, future appeal with realistically achievable improvements, D, what expectations will be reasonable at that achievement.
You will be confident that you're doing the most with the cards you've been dealt. You'll know yourself and what you can handle. The long-term progress will give a sense of meaning and importance do day-to-day activities. And the game plan of the best time to actually put yourself in the market in the next year or so preferably will give you time to find places that you're comfortable meeting and approaching women, quality people that you might actually want to spend time with LOL. When the time comes to make approaches or put yourself out there, you'll be in a position to.
Don't take the first thing that comes your way. At your age group, you're probably going to deal with a lot of people who will take any port in a storm, and once you improve enough, should have options.

Focus on you first and foremost.
Everyday is an opportunity to get yourself on the right track.
Control what you can control. If something is out of your control, don't bother worrying about it. Life can be a painful ride, it's even worse when we stress over uncontrollable factors.
My advice is to pick up a hobby (if you already have hobbies, then nice), focus on exercise which will improve your mental and physical health, reading or working on puzzles also can improve mental processing.
Most importantly, it's never to late to build yourself up. Don't dwell on past mistakes, focus on self improvement.
If you work on yourself, things will begin to happen naturally. You will gain confidence and social skills that will help you build connections with women.

First of all you need to get rid of that negative mentality stuff. Once I read that “a man without a plan for the day is lost before he starts.” Therefore make daily plans on what needs to be done, plus make it a habit to write quotes that keep you motivated.
I also believe that confidence comes from a mix of discipline and training (discipline is doing what’s right, no matter what your emotional state is). I’d write that down in a piece of paper as many times as possible to keep moving no matter what happens (or no matter what emotional state you are).
Wishing you the best of luck!!

You poor soul :( I hope you turn things around soon. 40 may be kind of old but you still have some time. Best of luck and take care 💜

There's 2 ways, find another person who is in the same boat as you and help build each other up or grind harder and find ways to get Yourself out of there

Make money.
[–]Crim212 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Since you are living with your parents, you don't have to pay any rent anymore (hopefully). You now have to work on yourself alittle bit. Get a job to earn an incredible me and learn about the stock market. Begin investing (with research of course) and make sure you don't squander any money earned through your job. Keep your spending to food and clothing. Invest in a gym membership and commit. It's never too late to build wealth. Confidence and attention will follow.

There are lots of single women in their 40s and older who have a hard time finding real relationships. From the ones I've talked to, at that point in their life, the main qualification they're looking for is just someone with stability in their life (e.g. has a job or can make a living somehow).
It's almost always the 40+ year old single women that pursue a relationship with me first. There are plenty.
I know a college educated single mother who was happy to date a minimum wage earner in his 50s who lived with his mother. She didn't have much in terms of standards at that point in her life.
So don't think there's no hope. You should first work on yourself and get a new job and get some stability in your life.

I’m sorry to hear about your head injury. I hope your sharpness has not declined significantly. In all cases, it’s fine if you want to go on dates but honestly for anything long term, you have to reduce your standards a lot. Even if you make 20k/year it’s still better than making nothing. Do what you can with what you got and hope for the best.

I can immediately see that you are in a "focus on the negative" state and are probably in that state quite often. You really have to catch yourself when you think or say negative things.
Cars are dangerous and expensive but cars also grant freedom and an immeasurable number of amazing experiences in your life.
Brilliant people can sometimes use their brilliant minds to create brilliant limitations.
One of my favorite exercises is to take an fear/frustration and turn it into a "how question." For your question, "how can I date a woman" is too broad. You need to break the problem down into smaller pieces. Ask your brain, "how do I say 'hi' to a woman?" Notice how that question does NOT include any negativity? It simply asks how to get what you want.
Thats how you get what you want. You focus on what you want and ignore the negative thoughts.
When it comes to women, money matters much less to them compare to a guy with a good attitude who is striving for success. Your negativity only indicates that you will not succeed.
If you're going to question anything, question your limitations. Question your beliefs.
The fact that you are admitting you need help and are open to suggestions is a MONUMENTAL first step!

I'm older than you and I would advise you to be determined to get out of where are you at right now and start by getting into the best shape of your life. Diet and exercise can be the foundation of your new life. Focus on that first. Learn to eat healthy. Learn to set goals and get into the best shape of your life. Put everything into this first. And you will realize you can channel everything you learn from this into other areas of your life.
You are not too old, I promise. Just don't fall into the victim mentality even if you have been one. Take responsibility for changing things. Have a glass half full attitude about everything. Right now you are half empty on just about everything. Go after the things you want and use music to help motivate and inspire you.

Are there not women trapped in poverty? You could try finding people in the same situation as you. I do t know where you would start. But, there’s certainly 40yr old women living with their parents these days.
Try flirting with a woman. Just next place you go to in public. Just flirt with a girl. Your gonna fail, get rejected, probably get some odd looks. But go do it again. Never flirted with a woman. You can start solving that problem today. Just don’t be like hey babe, nice tits or any of that Johnny Bravo stuff.

Look up the Maslow Hirearchy of Needs. Start from your basic needs and work your way up. A therapist may be able to help you identify your strengths (we all have our own strengths, sometimes we need help identifying them) and they may also help point you to some financial aid and continuing education resources and support groups in your community. With that said, interpersonal relationships is ranked number three out of five on the Maslow Hirearchy of Needs chart. So begin with your basic needs (food, water, shelter, sleep) and your safety (security, body, employment, health)

You’re 40. You’re still relatively young. You just need to put in the work. Find a job. Try a grocery store like Publix or something similar.
Get a car and learn to drive. Don’t be scared. Have faith in yourself, impress yourself. I’m 25 going to be 26 and only now have taken steps to getting my license through a drivers Ed school.
Focus on your mental well being friend. That is the most important. Choose yourself first.

Bro, your first priority should be putting your life together. Start by working on your mindset. Sounds like you might be depressed or at least just completely unconfident. It might take some work but I know you can do it. I’m sending good vibes out 😁😁

I don't understand why people make it so difficult. It's pretty easy: no money = you need game. more money you have - less game is required. Having a good game without confidence from money is not easy to achieve but possible.
You can look after the pua coach named Tom Torrero. He is in his late 40s early 50s i think. He travels the world cheap and bangs chicks. I don't think he is rich. Every pua coach claims that they were a nerd before pua. But trust me Tom Torrero really was an hard case and he started pretty late.

Just don’t. Focus on bettering yourself and working 24/7 and if you don’t make a lot, get a second job. Only get a woman when u can afford one and maybe not even then. Good luck.
