As a single mom who does this all alone and gets no child support - SAHMs are the backbone of society. If I had a SAHM while I pursued my career, I would already be making 6 figures, easily. I had a huge opportunity at work a couple years ago and I missed my shot because my kid got sick. Daycare over the summer costs about $600 a week for me. Men who think SAHMs do nothing have clearly never had to think about being a single parent - and clearly couldn’t handle it.

I add this number up every few years, glad to see the rates have increased! I've always said that I would not marry a man who makes less than this and the amount of groans I get is astounding. I'm surprised surrogacy isn't on the list (unless it is, then it's hard to read). He outs 2% effort into the creation of the baby while you do the rest and then if anything goes south he has a high likely hood of getting custody of the child(ren). So that's about a 100,000 for each child to just be born.
