I think when the mod has the flair "pompous she-devil", you're probably asking too much of her to justify her actions. Subs like that are echo chambers, in fact most subs on Reddit are echo chambers, but one literally called 'blatant misogyny' is clearly going to be more radicalized than most. Like all petty tyrannies, there always has to be an enemy, which means in their case everything has to be blamed on men, even actions that have no clear anti-female motivation.

It has NOTHING to do with misogyny, not that anyone can tell from the post alone, but because it can be used as fodder to virtue signal and glad-hand each other that their radicalism is correct, nobody's really stopping to ask basic questions; those that would make themselves stand out, because no member of the herd would ask such an obvious question... they'd just listen and believe.
