One thing that changed in recent years in online discussions that I noticed is that women become more and more open in sharing their feelings and opinions about men as a gender. And those opinions are most of the time are lowkey very misandristic.

I'm not talking just only about #killallmen, men-are-trash or 'retweet if you think men should just die lol' type of tweets, i'm talking about many other things. Women regularly voice their fear of men and contempt(and even get sympathy and support for that from men!) and use it as justification for all sorts of misandrist behaviour. They openly say that they refuse to treat men with common human decency because helping a stranger or being nice to a man might lead to all sorts of problems from being hit on or being followed or harassed. Women are proudly unempathetic to men, they dismiss and make fun of men's issues and act like the only issue men complain is getting sex or being unattractive. Even reading this some of them are thinking 'but that's true lmao". Obviously these misandrists, just as any other sexists and xenophobes, see themselves as mere Realists and think their opinions are very justified ("Just look at the stats, despite being 50% of population men commit...") and effortlesly ignore everything that doesn't fit into their confirmation bias, but this thread is NOT for discussion of how right or wrong they are in their beliefs.

I understand that internet and pillosphere in particular make these opinions seem more prevalent that they really are, but it seems misandry is getting more and more prevalent IRL as well, despite all the progress of actually achieving the most equal, egalitarian and safe society in recorded history and raising the most pro-women, 'feminist' and soft generation of men than ever before. Why is that? And where do we go from here?
