Yeah, but it's okay for them to say women are stronger and better and everything else.

Fricking sexist bigots.

[–]jonnyhaldane 135 points136 points137 points 4 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

Joe Biden said that there is nothing a man can do that a woman can't do as well or better.

That's the President of the USA saying that there is not a single thing men can do better than women.

Unfortunately this ideology is poisoning the highest levels of society.

[–]PubicFigure 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Representatives need to be reminded perhaps that around 1/2 the voting population is male? I'm sure Biden was pandering to voters... (Ain't looking for political debate, I ain't even from the US...)

Me neither

[–]WingsofSky 41 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Many fail to see that men and women are different. Advantages and weaknesses in different ways.

[–]JennyConcinnity 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is the problem when people live by ideology and not common sense.

Every person, adult or child knows who is stronger and faster. Children know who to ask to open a tight jar lid or to get cuddles. These lies about women and men are exactly the same is just lies to push propaganda.

[–]WingsofSky 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Put someone on a high pedestal. Then cry about how things change after that.

[–]__pulsar 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's all over social media and even places like LinkedIn. They have articles about women being better than men at this or that featured in their trending list all the time.

[–]GoneWithTheZen 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well men are obviously better at winning presidential elections.

I can say without being scared to back up my claim that except for childbirth, men where and still are perfectly capable, from the bottom to the top, to entirely run the entire world by themselves without a glitch... but most lawyers and judges gonna end up jobless.

Imagine how long that same bullshit was done in reverse. Sucks doesn’t it? Are threads like this helping or hurting? Seems to me there is a great deal of misplaced anger and ignorance today. Saying men are less than women is just as stupid as saying women are less than me . Some of you need to understand that.

[–]jonnyhaldane 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Nobody is saying it would be ok to make a similar statement with the sexes reversed.

And I bet you can’t even find a record of a president saying that about women in the last 100 years.

Seriously can men talk about anything affecting men without a feminist jumping in to make it about women?

[–]Alistair_TheAlvarian[🍰] 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

No one here is saying anyone is lesser or inferior. Just facts of reality. Men are better at some things, women are better at other things.

No matter how much anyone dislikes it sexual dimorphism is a thing in humans and unless you have a spare few billion dollars and underground genetic engineering lab that won't be changing anytime soon.

Men are bigger and stronger on average than women. Bigger hearts, bigger thicker denser bones, larger lungs, more red blood cells. Men are better at physical things on average than women, have higher maximum performance caps than women and improve physically at a faster rate.

Women are on average somewhat better at social things or multitasking the advantages of that are smaller than they are for men though. And I'm sure I'm missing some things.

But in general people will always be physically better on steroids than off of them and Men produces endogenous steroids way more than women. Is that fair? Not really. Is it that big of a deal? No.

It really doesn't matter all that much anymore you don't need to hunt down elk or spear wooly mammoths for food in the winter, there aren't rival tribes trying to kill you and here's the cool part. Men and women are pretty much perfectly equal in intelligence and us hairless monkeys used our big brains to invent technology that's better than a human in every way. To small to draw a bow? Let me introduce you to the M82 anti material rifle, far better at mammoth hunting and your strength means nothing.

You get tired traveling too quickly? Try a car, or train, or boat, or jet. Unable to keep up with manual labor at a factory, try being an operator, or designer of, or repair person for a manufacturing robot that does 90% of the physical work.

Or get an office job, gone are the days of subsistence farming. Your strength physically isn't really all that important to your job or life only hobbies and personal preference for the most part. Even in the military, just go be a pilot, or drone pilot, or driver, or logistics.

It's an undeniable fact of reality that men and women are different both physically and psychologically to get an idea but keep in mind a partial idea not a full idea of that difference ask a trans person, the hormones alone have massive psychological effects. I can link an article about that if you'd like. But those differences mean very little in a practical sense, they don't mean that much.

I'm pretty large and decently muscular or at least I'd like to think so. And I'm an engineering student. And let me tell you this if I was 4' 1" 83lbs and had a top speed of 5mph and a deadlift of 50lbs that would do absolutely nothing to my work because surprise surprise CAD software doesn't involve athletic abilities or fighting at all, not even a little bit.

[–]AloysiusC 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Men are better at some things, women are better at other things.

Do you think it's roughly even overall? I'm asking because most people who say this, seem to be implying or assuming some kind of symmetry but I have yet to see any basis for that assumption. Especially considering the nature of sexual dimorphism.

[–]Alistair_TheAlvarian[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Men are better overall in some areas women are better overall In others. I'd say that it about evens out especially factoring in technology. Although some benefits that women had historically are pointless or actually detrimental nowadays. Like women starve slower and need less food, great in the context of a hunter gatherer or isolated subsistence farming village where famines are a thing, the women starve slower which is good. But nowadays that sucks because the biggest threat is in fact too much food.

But other things like the slightly better social skills are more important and useful in modern society than they were thousands of years ago.

I would say that the advantages men get are more obvious and dramatic than those that women get both practically and visually. And the ones that women get are smaller and less obvious and more easily dissappear into the regular person to person variations.

If I had to pick I'd be male over female and doubly so since I'm a man and therefore biased. Oh and men die quicker even excluding unnatural deaths. And so I guess thats a negative.

But again the difference is pretty unimportant and doesn't matter, it has basically no bearing on your life or career except for a few outliers like extreme sports or professional athletics.

[–]AloysiusC 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But why do you think it's even?

Oh and men die quicker even excluding unnatural deaths.

Actually this has been debunked. Men live under greater hardship in general which leads to lower life expectancy.

[–]Alistair_TheAlvarian[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I believe men do actually die quicker naturally because of the extra stress on the cardiovascular system from testosterone. Higher testosterone is associated with shorter life spans to some extent although it's only really by a few years.

I think it's even because there aren't that many meaningful differences and the ones that are there are distributed between both groups.

[–]AloysiusC 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe men do actually die quicker naturally because of the extra stress on the cardiovascular system from testosterone.

You can believe it but that doesn't make it true.

Higher testosterone is associated with shorter life spans to some extent although it's only really by a few years.

No. It's an attempt to explain the life expectancy gap. One that has not withstood testing.

I think it's even because there aren't that many meaningful differences and the ones that are there are distributed between both groups.

This sounds like wishful thinking. At best it's highly subjective. What makes a difference "meaningful" anyway?

[–]reddut_gang 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If you are so mad about someone doing something to you, don't do it to others.

If you're going to do it to others don't cry about misplaced anger when they rightfully get pissed at you.

[–]djinthesmokys 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

What are you talking about other than repeating exactly what I stated?

[–]reddut_gang 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Imagine how long that same bullshit was done in reverse. Sucks doesn’t it?

If this logic is used to justify bullshit, you don't get to cry foul when retaliation happens.

[–]djinthesmokys 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Retaliation? You clearly don’t have enough to do it n life. Try volunteering. Perhaps in a way that allows you to travel so that you will learn to appreciate instead of complain . Grow up son. Have a good evening.

[–]reddut_gang 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, there is a lot of people fed up with feminism, and retaliating. That's what you're spending your whole day bitching about is it not? All this talk about me not having enough to do in life. As opposed to you?

Or maybe you think you're "volunteering" by bravely fighting the monstrous incels of the manosphere. So fearless. The way you type your messages and hit send. Perfection. Mastery. I'm in the presence of greatness.

[–]djinthesmokys 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m retired. You can do that in your seventies . Sadly, you don’t understand feminism as it was originally intended. The notion no person is better or worse because of the business between their legs doesn’t threaten you. If your manhood is that fragile you have problems and women having the right to vote or serve in the military or get a bank loan isn’t it. What have you ever done in life to improve social issues? Anyone’s life? To aid your fellow man? Get off your ass and out of your self pity and accomplish something. Greatness isn’t a human characteristic but being greatful can be. You should aIn for that and stop whining so much

[–]reddut_gang 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sadly, you don’t understand feminism as it was originally intended.

I don't care what it was originally intended, it's not 1940 today. I believe in real egalitarianism, and have worked to achieve it via donations to men's domestic violence shelters and creating posters with statistics to raise awareness. The piece of rotten garbage that feminism today is not anywhere near egalitarian. If you want proof, just check what the global gender gap report considers "equality." Hint, men being disadvantaged is considered equal.

[–]AbysmalDescent 33 points34 points35 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

It's also okay when women use the fact that "men are stronger on average than women" to dismiss male victims of domestic violence, justify their androphobia or perpetuate this victim mentality that no woman is safe at night because men exist. When it is convenient to a woman's argument, this is apparently fair use and dismissing the existence of smaller men or larger women is perfectly fine.

[–]JennyConcinnity 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are right. As a woman I apologize.

[–]lokifloki7000 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I don't get the ignorance to reject the idea that evolution has shaped body and mind of men and women in a different way, cause they had different responsibilities, just based on ideology. I see a divide in the society that is concerning to me. And there would be other problems on our plate, that are way more threatening, but the mainstream just engages in this toxic pseudo discussions.

[–]killcat 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

https://us.humankinetics.com/blogs/excerpt/reasons-for-gender-differences-in-youth-sport

>The answer lies in how girls and boys in our culture learn about and
internalize gendered beliefs, values, and practices. This is called socialization,
a process in which we actively formulate ideas about who we are and how
we're supposed to act (and not act). Males and females are socialized
very differently in most cultures. As a result of this socialization,
stereotypes are often formed. A stereotype is a popular belief about specific types of individuals in certain categories.

[–]WingsofSky 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree. Society is seriously hating on men. Which should be some men and not all. But a lot of women seem to buy into this twisted mentality.

Well it is true no matter their feelings. There are women stronger than men without a doubt, but on the average men are stronger than women.

[–]Warm_Avocado 89 points90 points91 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't like this feeling culture that has taken hold of many spaces. Men being generally physically stronger than women is a biological reality.

Whoever gets offended needs to chill. It's insecurity imo, the feeling of being "less than" when in reality, who cares? It's not a bad thing.

Women LOVE the "I don't understand averages" gambit.

Me: Men are much stronger than women.

Them: Ohhhhh so you're saying that you're stronger than the female weightlifting champion??????????

Me: Obviously, I mean that the average man is stronger than the average woman.

Them: Ohhhhh so you're saying that you could beat <female UFC fighter> easily??????????????

Me: No, I mean....oh fuck it.

[–]steelgripphoenix 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

UK records for deadlift and I think squat. Maybe bench.

[–]Emet22 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I'm not convinced that many avg Joe's couldnt win in a fight with the female UFC champion either though... size and muscle mass does a lot, more than that men have more type-II muscles than women, making them more powerful pound for pound.

[–]well-ok-then 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m an out of shape 45 year old who’s never been in a real fight. I assume a female UFC champion could whup me in the octagon tonight but I could even the odds with 6 months of dedicated training.

I could not beat a female champion in golf, tennis, or sprinting with 6 months even if the worst male pro would mop the floor with them.

[–]djinthesmokys 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Dude, you clearly don’t know jack schitt about fighting! A female UFC fighter would beat the dog shit out of you. Strength, in fighting, accounts for little. What does matter? SPEED, ACCURACY, ENDURANCE, REFLEXES, INNATE ABILITY TO READ YOUR OPPONENT, STRATEGY, DEFENSE, TRAINING. Strength- get the fuck outta here

[–]Emet22 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If strength and size matters nothing, then why do they have so many weight classes and separate men from women? Transgender mma fighters have been beating the ever living crap out of female fighters and sending some to hospitals.

You know nothing

[–]ILOVEBOPIT 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think those little things matter a lot for trained professionals at the top of their game versus an untrained person is so different from a pro the difference in weight will usually matter less than skill and training. But it’s all pretty irrelevant to all of us who recognize men are stronger than women on average, we’re literally under a parent comment saying how much these women pros are irrelevant to that discussion lol

[–]JennyConcinnity 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely right!

[–]his_purple_majesty 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I bet you think Bruce Lee would beat Mike Tyson in a fight.

[–]djinthesmokys 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope because he’s dead. Not much of a fight.

[–]reddut_gang 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Average joe lacks technique though. I think the lowest echelon of male fighters could probably beat the champion but average joe is a huge stretch. Fighting is one of the most difficult sports in the world and you need a lot more than upper body strength to win.

[–]NoJustAnotherUser 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah. And they too know it, and covering up will do nothing good for them.

[–]IoSonCalaf 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Didn’t I read that only one woman in a thousand is stronger than the average male?

[–]well-ok-then 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

0.1% is still about 150,000 women in the US and 3 million in the world. Strong women exist. They aren’t common.

The analogy to height always seemed useful to me. Everyone should understand that the average adult male is taller than the average adult female even if there will be plenty of women taller than the shortest man in a randomly selected large group. And probably the tallest handful of people will be men.

Leg strength is similar and upper body strength is significantly more tilted towards men.

[+]JackieNaper1907 -15 points-14 points-13 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]djinthesmokys -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Finally a comment rooted in truth and commonsense. It’s also true that physical strength in women is more lower body than upper body. All politicians say stupid shit to pander to stupid people like Clump calling immigrants from the south “not the best people” and “rapists”. That to was a giant mouth turd.

[–]SgllsTaklnDux 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's kind of a big number, but I can remember lots of comments on Reddit from women who thought this until it came down to testing their strength against a man and being shocked how easily they were overpowered.

There are clearly some people who experience gender dysphoria, and that it is resolved when they are allowed to surgically transition and live, as best they can, as the gender they perceive themselves as. The problem comes when you get people who think that their desire to be the opposite sex means that they *are* the opposite sex, and always have been.

There's no real actual psychological studies that support that. It's just the cheapest and quickest bandaid for a very complex mental disorder.

[–]bluehorserunning 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You are not correct. https://fenwayhealth.org/new-study-shows-transgender-people-who-receive-gender-affirming-surgery-are-significantly-less-likely-to-experience-psychological-distress-or-suicidal-ideation/

I think that the phenomenon has been totally, socially blown out of proportion, but at its core there are some people who genuinely have gender dysphoria. I think that there are also a lot of people who have a kind of 'grass is greener' idea that all of their problems would disappear if they could just be a different gender (or just be a cat, or just be a dragon, or just be an attack helicopter, or whatever), but the phenomenon originated with a few people who genuinely live better as the opposite sex. And there have been people who have done so throughout history, across many cultures.

[–]Warhammer_Lover 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yes i am. This is literally from your link. It shows no evidence of mental health improvement from gender affirming surgery.

Although a 2019 study of 2,679 transgender people demonstrated an association between gender-affirming surgery and reduced utilization of mental health treatment, a correction to the study issued in 2020 reported no mental health benefits after comparison with a control group of transgender people who had not yet undergone surgery.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I love when people don't even read the study they link and prove your point using their own source. It's rare, usually people aren't so oblivious/lazy to make such a huge mistake, but u/bluehorserunning did it here 🤦

[–]bluehorserunning -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

For some reason, I'm having a hard time doing a cut-and-paste with the most relevant part of the article. I suggest that you actually follow the link and read it.

"The study, titled “Association Between Gender-Affirming Surgeries and
Mental Health Outcomes,” compared the psychological distress, substance
use, and suicide risk of 3,559 transgender people who had undergone
gender-affirming surgery with those of 16,401 transgender people who
desired gender-affirming surgery but had not yet undergone any. It found
that transgender people who had received one or more gender-affirming
surgical procedures had a 42% reduction in the odds of experiencing
past-month psychological distress, a 35% reduction in the odds of
past-year tobacco smoking, and a 44% reduction in the odds of past-year
suicidal ideation.

"This study also found that people who received all of thegender-affirming surgeries they desired had significant reductions inthe odds of every adverse mental health outcome examined, includingpast-year suicide attempts and past-month binge alcohol use.Furthermore, compared to people who only received some of thegender-affirming surgeries they desired, people who received all oftheir desired surgeries experienced even more profound mental healthbenefits across every outcome.

“These results are incredibly important for the evolving field oftransgender health care. Although clinicians have long supported theprovision of gender-affirming medical and surgical care, the practicehas been challenged by health insurers asking for more evidence showingits efficacy,” said study senior author Dr. Alex S. Keuroghlian, whodirects the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center at The FenwayInstitute and the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry GenderIdentity Program. “In light of this study’s results, gender-affirmingsurgeries should be made available for transgender and gender diversepeople who seek them, and we should work to remove barriers togender-affirming surgery such as insurance exclusions for such care.”"

[–]Warhammer_Lover 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You conviniently left out the part i quoted.

Also those studies have some major issues and no long term follow up.

The main issue i have is the study really only recorded a year post surgery. The majority of post surgery trans people will be living their lives in the honeymoon phase of the surgery and like i said originally it's a temporary fix for a complex disorder. They will live their lives and get a much needed confidence boost but once life returns to normal i wouldn't be surprised if their drug use, depression and other symptoms of gender dysmorphia returned because the root problem was never addressed.

So the surgery itself doesn't really solve anything and it's a quick and temporary bandaid instead of addressing the issue with other more proven methods.

[–]bluehorserunning 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not deliberately. For some reason, I was having trouble with my cut-and-paste algorithm; it took about 8 tries to get what I did. However, it was already cited by you, so no harm.

The idea that 'your main problem is that the study only recorded a year post -op' is quite a shift from 'this link doesn't support your claim.' I can't figure out how you managed to pull that quote without actually reading the rest of the article, unless you thought that I wouldn't come back and post the relevant parts...?

Teen suicides of gay kids went down state-by-state as gay marriage was made legal, and the mental and emotional issues experienced by trans kids pretty much vanish if they have supportive family and friend groups that allow them to live as the gender they identify as. It's almost like we're social animals and support networks matter, you know?

[–]Warhammer_Lover3 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The study always comes up with mixed results though.

That isn't a very scientific way to make a claim.

Alright so its obvious at this point that big tech (Twitter, facebook, IG, google, youtube) are all actively censoring conservative voices, common sense, science etc to instead promote this new sjw liberal ideology where gender isn’t real and everyone is a victim but white males.

That much is obvious - so now we gotta figure out 1: why and 2: why are we still using these platforms / are there alternatives that actually believe in free speech?

[–]OctaviaPinfold 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The why is very easy. It's controversial but unlike topics where the majority of people (i.e. voters for politicians they have influence over) agree on the facts and disagreeing deviates from the norm, here the norm is for feminists to disagree, and if you're caught disagreeing with feminists, the backlash is worse than if you were caught saying the n-word while in black face wearing an ape costume.

[–]FreeAndHostile 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, the only "reasonable" answer I can come to is that these companies firmly believe they are on "the right side of history" and they are betting they will be rewarded in the future for being "allies" for the progressive globalist movement. Business only exists to make a profit. Period. Basic economics. But some companies seem to anticipate better profits on the horizon. Most of that stems from the influence of the rampant increases of globalist-leftists within the non-productive environments of corporations... HR, Project Management, Audit/Compliance, etc. Not that these areas are unnecessary, it's just a magnet for those with useless degrees that have been indoctrinated that males (specifically, white males) are the source of everything bad in this world. So, in an attempt to not seem like they're the "old guard" or have a "good ol' boy network", Boards and CEO's cave into the recommendations from the globalist leaders under them. And from there, it's just a snowball rolling into the hellish pit of communism.

[–]boundarychimps 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

so now we gotta figure out 1: why and 2: why are we still using these platforms / are there alternatives that actually believe in free speech?

The "why" is complicated. As for alternatives, not many. One of the reddit alts with more potential just nuked itself because the admins doxxed themselves or something and caught the sharp end of the hate mob; Parler got kicked off the internet as soon as they started to get seriously popular; etc.

But back to "why". There's a lot of stuff including industry history (lots of leftists) and education requirements (lots of university grads; and universities are extremely leftist) and startups chasing money (and being amoral about it) and thinking they can change the world "for the better, right?" (inherently a leftist conceit) and how for most of our work we get to define reality (for multiple levels of abstraction, which keeps actual reality far enough away to mostly not care) and that most of us are just slightly odd (for example that old list of geek social fallacies ).

[–]SpiritofJames 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Figuring out why is easy. It's to win politics via culture.

[–]slurmfactory 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But why are these companies all the same politically?

[–]SpiritofJames 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because centralization of power and control is good for all of them. Same story as always. The twist that they sell this authoritarian corporatist marriage of State and "private" interests as egalitarian freedom fighting for the little people isn't even new, they've been doing that since at least the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and The New Deal a bit later.

actually it has to do with the fact that men's bodies are statistically bigger as well. I think you're gender stereotyping by saying women are more interested in yoga and men are more interested in games of skill like chess, darts or snooker. Many women have devoted their entire lives to studying and competing in chess to become the absolute best they can be. It's dismissive to say that they just weren't interested enough.

Thanks for sharing. Men and women of the common-sense-resistance, please use as much as possible text to explain views and events and not only videos and podcasts - it is impossible to reference a sentence in a 1.5 hours audio. No one will ever be able to listen to or watch an hour long file to verify one fact in several sentences - the world is full of data and this is the purpose of the referencing method that the human species developed. Each statement is an article that can be linked to, and quickly referenced further. This system preceded the internet and goes back to the middle ages. I want to link to this event, I can't even understand where to find it, I won't listen to a 1.5 hours recording with the hope of finding it - there are another 1,000 such recorded sources - impractical to use this format. Please excuse me for being right - this is not a matter of opinion, we need to do what progressives and lunatics are doing by the thousands - THEY USE THIS INVENTION CALLED TEXT and reference it. We will keep seeing madness taking over humanity until we start using human culture as humans always have. Otherwise we are just handing over culture to them (this also means - start reading books, start pushing books, stop asking "do I know this already" and start asking "is that book a good way to convince others? then I'll push it so it reaches others, I'll rate it, cite it, share it, promote it to promote my views, it is immaterial if what it says is new to me - all what matters is whether it's a good tool to let those who don't know yet what I know, become aware").

I will agree that men are physically stronger than women but I don't think that makes us inferior and I also know women have more robust immune systems than men, so that doesn't make men inferior

Men have bigger brains. That means women have smaller brains. Can’t argue with science or facts.

[–]JackieNaper1907 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yes, but brain size has little to no effect on intelligence, so it makes no difference

[–]rmlea 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So, it is agreed, men have bigger brains than women.

Yes, but read my comment again.

[–]rmlea 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, read my comment. There is nothing to add that is not just your opinion. Men have bigger brains than women. Period.

[–]pfizerface 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually it has no perceivable effect because we don't use the full capacity of our brains.

You could say men have another 10TB of storage/RAM.

[–]OctaviaPinfold 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's not how it works. Everybody uses the full capacity of their brain, but the brain's complexity is more or less the same for everybody, and that determines how it functions and what it can do.

Women don’t have more robust immune systems. There are two arms of the immune system, the one focused on extra cellular pathogens (antibodies) and the one focused on infra cellular pathogens (killer T cells). Estrogen causes the immune system to skew more towards the antibody response, and is the reason women have higher rates of autoimmune disease like lupus.

Who said anything about inferior? Inferior was neither mentioned nor implied. You are adding that which means you have some feeling that inferiority is involved.

[–]NoFuryLikeKristine 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It sounds like a lot of people believed that "women being weaker" = "men are more advanced evolutionarily", therefore the assumption "women are inferior", according to this article from 1994: https://www.icr.org/article/darwins-teaching-womens-inferiority/

I don't think it was meant to be an offensive thing, but people like feminists assume the most offensive meaning

It's always funny when they draw conclusions about an entire group of people from what a few who've been discredited and proven wrong countless times said in the past.

He's being a trollish jackass, a common phenomenon on this forum. You're overtly female and therefore should be attacked by the weak.

You’re delusional. It’s sad.

Brett and Heather are guilty of some serious bullshittery on 'alternative' treatments for covid, but I frequently agree with them on this. The woke left is just completely ignoring the science on this.
