Be careful to vet prospective partners. Since men tend to be petitioners and women granters when it comes to dating, the temptation is to be with whoever will have you. Resist the temptation, only date people who you are sure you trust and whose values align enough with your own. If someone isn't willing to respect your boundaries, they're not good prospects.

Teach him to have high standards when it comes to women. The women he dates should be independent and secure in themselves. They should not see themselves as victims. 1.) Protect himself by protecting his hard (past/present/future) work (and the resources it provides). His money is his business. No one else will ever have access to it nor manage it for him unless it’s a licensed accountant. If he marries they keep their pay checks separate and only share one mutual account where money goes in for equally paid bills.

2.) Travel abroad for one month atleast once.

3.) Do Not marry. If he must, he should wait 3 years before deciding. And never before 28.

4.) Prenuptial. Even though some states treat it like toilet paper it may help.

None of these suggestions is anti-woman. They’re pro-autonomy and freedom of oneself.

Teach him also that it's okay to just walk away, he doesn't owe anytime his time.

Also and I think this is most important, that it doesn't matter how many relationships he's had, or how many people he's slept with, his worth as a person is based on who he is.

The term “settling down” is appropriately named. The more appealing your partner is, the more likely they are to leave you, because they have other options.

Even if they stay with you, partners with a net greater appeal than you can exercise more control of the relationship, from major decisions to everyday power dynamics.

Not everyone is caught up in this whole "movement". I've got 3 kids (one boy, 2 girls) aged 20-24.

Given you have a son, i will speak a bit from my daughters perspective.

Both ignore these "fads", they dress like women, do 'girl things' and are happy with their identify. They were not taught that girls are good/boys are bad, etc and they have had the benefit of a brother growing up so they see things from the male perspective as well.

They want someone who listens to them, respects them and their views and has complementary strengths/weaknesses. As an example, one is a bit shy so her BF compensates for her. The other is impatient at times but her BF has infinite patience and so both girls have good matches.

Both girls are "low maintenance" so they do exist.

Don't be hyper-sensitive to a 'fad/movement', just be honest with yourself and find someone who is a good match. Ignore the media/manipulative BS.

Being that I'm the mother of three sons two, are in their early twenties. Women oh my God they will so pursue you if you are decent looking. There are some many fast ass little girls out here that will do what they have to do to try to get knocked up, so you need to make sure that you tell your son if he is handsome, plays sports , or the leader of his peers to wrap it up . If he chooses to have sex he needs to take wearing a condom seriously, his own responsibility , and when he puts one on he doesn't leave it unattended he makes sure that he takes it out of wherever he takes it out and puts it on right there , then flushes it down the commode afterwards.
I taught this to my sons and my oldest is 23 and my middle is 22 , neither have childern out of wedlock and both have ample amount of female attention , always have , starting in middle school 🤦. Always was very honest with my sons from the get-go that they needed to make sure that they kept themselves clean ,brushed their teeth ,put on deodorant ,and clean clothes especially if they were wanting to obtain females attention. Being nice is wonderful, but it does not promise you anybody's attention. Both my sons are somewhat cocky just to be honest , so they really had no self esteem issues . Which shows a sense of self assuredness.

This is such a great question. I guess it depends how "politically correct" he wants to be.

I, as a woman think the climate they are creating is actually training men to act unattractive to women. The women go along with the societal pressure, saying they want a man to be submissive and everything, because THEY feel they have to conform to this shit too. Why do you think "50 shades of Grey" was so popular? It's because women aren't getting what they are biologically programmed to want. This could explain why women go after men in the prison system (although there are probably other reasons for this).

I would teach him to be respectful, a gentleman, but not allow himself to be bullied, manipulated, etc. I would still teach the old fashioned "never hit a woman". Nothing you do in life is full proof all you can do is try your best to protect yourself. If it ever becomes too much, take a break from it all. Nothing beats a strong mind.

Finally, do fall in love early on during your teen years(with protection of course) enough to get you experience of heartbreak and enough to make you understand how to deal with the opposite gender and that emotion.

In your late teens and early 20s forget about "serious" relationships just focus on your career and as you get closer to 30s, start vetting the females in your circle for relationship potential and hopefully marriage. Godspeed.

Volunteering, working or attending gatherings for things he’s passionate about will help him meet women with similar goals/views. Don’t just sleep around. If he wants to find someone to have a family with he should look at the plain communities of the Amish and Mennonite. They still hold very traditional gender roles and a family first mindset.

It can be challenging to join those communities especially the Amish if you want to maintain a modern life but Mennonite churches are much more modern and accessible to outsiders.

I have two youngsters and think about that often too. My eldest, 11 dude, is already totally burned out by the feminist drumming and sees it as something to rebel against. My youngest 7/G likes to tout feminist messages for play but quickly pulls back when there are any attacks on males in general - she has two guys at home that carefully support her and help her along and she loves it.

As a principle of guidance, I try to recall that we are in an age of extremes. It's wrong to think that things swing from one side to the other and eventually balance out. In actuality, it's a wrecking ball that destroys everything on it's path: just as men's lives are being destroyed in the name of an ideology at present, another group will unfortunately suffer similar injustices in the future - and none of it is good.

How does that translate to education? Well, simply that both men and women are wonderful in the expression of their sex/genders and none should be discriminated for that. A man is formed by encouraging him to be proud of himself, to contribute his strength and courage to help others. He is also encouraged to show stoicism and to know that he doesn't have to feel at a loss when someone criticises him for being a man: he can hold his self worth in his chest and keep on his way. I also tell him that right now the lines are blurred between two things: 1) women seeking to reach a different status in society (leaving that can of worms shut here) and 2) people tribalistically bolstering a supremacist ideology. Ideally I want him to be able to determine which is which in every situation.

Look for attributes beyond the physical. Similar values, competencies, personality. Date someone for an extended period before moving in or getting married. Make sure they're right for you and are a good partner.. similarly, when dating, try to resist the urge to pretend you're someone else or the person you're with won't actually know you until later and then it might not work.

• Have him know he should not feel obligated to pay for every date, even 50/50 is nice. • Help him better understand everyone has different boundaries, men and women. Don’t be afraid to ask and speak up about them before acting on them. • Notice red signs/flags in a s/o or a love interest before taking them further • People change. Everyone wants a good first impression. Some want a first good impression for 3 years. Make sure you’re not dating, or marrying, the wrong person. This goes for friends to.

Normal advice for sons:

• For the red signs/flags one and other experiences, have him know that he can talk and communicate with you about everything and still have a safe space. • Learn how to financially save money for emergencies • Help him explore hobbies and skills and clubs that dive deeper into them to help prevent loneliness, depression and the lack of motivation to do things he may like. • If you give him permission to party in high school, teach him safe ways to party: have a buddy in case of intoxication, a safe ride home, location on for emergencies ( but not hovering, so he doesn’t feel trapped ) etc…

Ways you can help him:

• Don’t judge him no matter the subject. If he has done something wrong, and many people know, you probably aren’t the only one disliking his actions. Instead of judging, support and help him through the conflict rather than having him feel helpless and alone. • Understand mental health issues make things a thousand times harder for not only you, but also him. Accommodate for his hardships going on in his brain and adapt to how he can understand and learn things better. • Physical abuse only works as discipline when you want to scare your kids. If your child grows up knowing the consequence to something bad is to get hurt, he may think of that as a normal solution for everyone, not just for parental consequences. • Be involved in your sons life! If he got an A on a test he studied for, congratulate him and maybe reward him if you can. If he scored his first goal on his team for soccer. Anything to tell him that you are also on his team and are here to support him. • Your son could be gay, Trans ( Male to female ), non-binary, gender fluid, or something else! The less you support him and help him find himself ( and not in a “grab the steering wheel” way ) the less he’ll come to you for advice and trust may be lost.
