As the title suggests, get out right when the mask falls. Don’t think it will get better. Don’t listen to the opinion of family members or friends. Get out when the mask falls off.

Her mask fell right after I proposed. Purchased a 2 carat diamond ring to propose to her. Flew her to Miami and got the deed done. Day after we return, I got a text from her: “my brother doesn’t think you paid as much as you say for the ring.”

That’s when I knew I had made a huge mistake. Every fiber in my body screamed at me to get out. Instead, I did the opposite. Went along with it, at the insistence of family. I could have avoided a divorce if I had trusted my intuition.

So for everyone else out there, get out when the masks falls.
