I firmly believe that much of the frustration people face in the dating market today is due to the incredible number of rejections and bad experiences.

I think it's a lot more than before social media and internet dating, simply because you didn't have that many options back in the day had that one could have experienced rejections, bad dates with people you're not compatible with etc. so often.

My question is, how much can a person endure?

Of course, up to point, failure may be motivating and lead to self-improvement, but at a certain point, when you've pretty much exhausted all options, i assume it gets frustrating.

When is this point in time for the average woman or the average man? How many bad dates in, say, a year results in a significant decrease in mental well-being?

And what do you think the effect of consistently bad experiences on the dating market (not just rejection, I mean incompatibility, bad dates etc.) is on the human psyche?

What effect does it have on the individual and what effect does it have on society as a whole?
