To be fair, people in general love talking about themselves. But I noticed women are more likely to ask questions about the other person, realize when it's their turn to speak, and notice when the other person is not interested.

With guys on the other hand they have a real bad habit of talking at you and not to you. They don't want a conversation, they just want to hear themselves talk lol. It's an ego stroker for them. Especially if they find you attractive.

As annoying as this is I feel we can actually use this to our advantage depending on what your goal is and what the guy does for living/what's his passions or hobbies. He could end up teaching you a skill you'd otherwise have to pay to learn πŸ‘€. Say for example, my mother. She knew a guy who knew a lot about real estate and housing and all that good stuff. Some of the things he taught her were things you'd have to take a course to learn. She got the information for free, just by letting him monologue at her.

So if I find out a guy im talking to is into botany or plays piano I will be whipping out my notepad and keeping quiet πŸ˜‚ monologue away my guy lol. Men are scared of being taken advantage of by gold diggers. But never worry about information diggers like me πŸ’€

Another way men talking too much benefits women is men also have a bad habit of spilling their own beans, which makes vetting 10x easier because he's chucking up all his red flags then and there. Sometimes they tell stories that make you go wtf. Or sometimes they reveal things that they like that are red flags (prime example: porn).
