Men need to let go of the need to constantly defend women whenever they are criticised.

I see men defending women alot when they get even just remotely criticised, especially on reddit. You can't say anything critical of women's collective behaviour, no matter how true it is without men feeling the need to defend them. It would be a lot less pathetic if women reciprocated this behaviour, but they don't. In fact, the very rare woman who does defend men gets called a 'pick me' and yet there's men all over the place who feel the need to defend women from any kind of criticism, no matter how valid. It's pretty pathetic.

The irony is they don't actually help women in any meaningful way by constantly defending them. The collective behaviour of people being criticised can be a good thing and can actually help them develop more self awareness, but ofcourse the white knights always make sure that doesn't happen.
