If we assume this person "is of average attractiveness", their success rate will solely depend on what their "ideal partner" looks like. (And whether they're looking for hookups or relationships.)

Some rich and famous film star: sex/commitment would be pretty much impossible.
A very hot guy with loads of options: short-term hookups would be easy, but commitment would be tricky.
A regular guy (i.e. a middle-class man of average attractiveness): both are very likely.

Knowing how men think may be an asset for this person, but it's useless if their SMV doesn't match their preferences.

If he acts like a man (learned) to attract a man - his behavior is regarded as masculine, which many men resent in their female partners. My guess is he would find it easy to access cheap sex at first then realize why women don't prioritize relationships based on sex the way men do rather quickly.

It's too bad this can't happen because it would make people more empathetic with each other. Dating sucks for almost everyone.

I think at first he’d try to be as promiscuous as possible in order to live out his fantasy of being desired. He’d have some bad experiences and learn sex as a woman is not all it’s cracked up to be.

If he then tries to attract an actual partner, that depends on what his ideal partner is. If he has the libido of an average woman then he’d aim high and have the same struggles as any woman.

He is going to retain male mannerisms and male behavior, which other men will perceive as non-feminine. It will be a turn off to most other men.

He will also struggle because he’s going to have to learn to go through the whole beauty ordeal. Average women in our natural state are invisible to men. Like, no grooming, no makeup, no fashion. He’s also going to be really bad at these things when he first starts out, so he’ll have to practice and get better.

I do think he’ll get more thirsty male attention off the cuff, but he’ll also have none of the vetting skills women do, so he’d be worse off there too. Also he will finally see how naturally pushy men are (inadvertently most often) when they are with women, so I’d be curious to see if he’ll start putting up the same boundaries or treating men like women do.

He would have an easier time than he did as a man simply due to women receiving more attention, but he’ll won’t be better at dating than women who were born and socialized as cis women.

Worse. Simply because he lacks necessary experience. One - he would need to figure out what ideal partner would be for him. Then he will need to learn red flags. And the *art* of communicating with men. And the *art* of preserving reputation (or face consequences). Men simply don't realize what women are facing. I would also say they would be in shock with how people would start treating them, i've read that trans women experienced something like that.

When i started dating, i was drowned in attention. And i was starved for it, i don't think men realize that women don't really get that much of attention on day to day basis, when it's safe and when they can just take it, unless those women actively seek it. So i remember my first times when i started dating. I was drowned in that attention. It felt good. It lasted a day. Because that's how long it takes to realize that all of this is fake and that all of this men now feel entitled to time, effort, nudes, simply because they called me beautiful. I started to think that men who actually will put some effort and go on a date with me will be different. They were, but still the same shit, they were also entitled, but more and in a different way. I don't see how men would skip those steps in dating at all.

Then also just an anecdote. My friend and I decided to create some dating profiles of opposite gender, and spend a week chatting. And then see results. Our goal wasn't even get dates or something, we were just curious what will we face. He faced creeps and fetishists. I on the other hand was so sure of myself, that i'm a woman, i know what women want - and when my friend saw my texts, he told me that i didn't talk like myself, and that i looked exactly like weird guys that messaged him. So now when i see this ego of "i'm a man/woman, i know what men/women want" i remember this, and without experience it means shit.

What defines success? If it's just getting a partner in any way, I think they'd be the same or better. If it's getting a compatible long-term partner, I think they would be worse or potentially the same, depending on the man.

It's a hard question because on one hand, men have seen other men behave in ways women haven't, so they recognize some problem behaviors more easily. On the other hand, men do not see these behaviors in a romantic context like women do. I also think one major thing a straight, cis man would be missing is connection with other women, since a lot of the time we keep our friends safe by vetting their men. Men don't comment on your dating life unless you're very close and you basically interrogate them, so you can't count on their help.

Worse. Because if they had the mentality of a straight man, but as a woman who was attracted to men, they would easily ignore red flags due to the man's attractiveness (as they do as straight men, towards women if she is hot enough or if he is horny enough)

Plenty of guys will have sex with women they dislike or who are genuinely bad people because she is hot enough, or him horny enough

So, if he became a woman, this mentality would get him pregnant, abused, filled with STDs and ultimately fucked the fuck over.

Yeah, he would be statistically able to bag a lot more men as a woman than he does as a man (in regards to getting women)

But these encounters would suck for him, and often harm him as he has no ability to decide "hey, maybe i shouldn't fuck a hot person just because they are hot if they are a bad person"

The reason why these specific men think we would have sex or throw away our morals for a man we are physically attracted to enough is just projection. As that's exactly how a ton of men behave

Men act like this with women, ignoring red flags due to hotness, with women because the red flags don't usually end up in him getting raped or murdered or hit, or abused.

And thus, they get jealous of us women, and think if they were women, life would be great, but fail to realize they'd be dealing with men much stronger, and filled with a shit ton more testosterone, and also dealing with the fact a lot of these men feel entitled to him, and expect that because he did something with Bob, he now owes it to jack and if he says no to jack, jack will hurt him in order to get what jack feels owed

In the beginning he’d get laid a lot. He’d have little to no standards. He’d get unsatisfactory sex. Few orgasms if any. He’d put himself in dangerous situations. He’d see how men treat women differently. He’d get disillusioned. If he has the same hormonal cycles he’d feel confused. He’d feel crazy at times. He’d feel period pains and cramps. If he had the same brain structures he’d feel an odd sense of fear or apprehension. The first time he’s with a guy the same size as him, same body type as him and realizes that that man could hurt and kill him just because of his inherent strength would give him a weird pause. It would be a real mind fuck. Same as if a cishet female raised as a cishet female were to become a cishet man overnight. She’d be thrown into so many different worlds of thoughts and experiences. Men and women live on the same planet but occupy different worlds.

Definitely, assuming the partner is male? You’re a bit unclear about that part, if he’s attracting his ideal partner, but wouldn’t his ideal partner be a woman if he were originally straight?

Anyways, yeah. All he would have to do is put on makeup and a cute outfit, and work up the confidence to ask the ideal male partner out. He’d probably be approved right off the bat. Attracting men isn’t very complicated.

I genuinely think he’d possibly be better at attracting a woman, than a woman born as a woman. You’re not really gonna like the reason why though; since most men perceive women without depth, a man-turned-woman would immediately think to act as fake and catering towards the ideal partner as possible. The ideal man would likely be attracted to the lack of personality/disagreeableness.

Men watch enough pornography to know what the people who share their gender want.
