Former blue pill here slowly converting. My wife has a history of abuse in her past. Tonight she asked me to put away the food and I didn't jump immediately. She sighed loudly and began to put it away herself, muttering and complaining. I was fine with this and decided not to engage until she said "lazy" loud enough for me to hear.

I had taken care of the children all day while she studied and went to a work thing. I cleaned the house and bathed the kids, but none of that mattered and I lost it. I approached her and attempted to grab the bowl from her, but she resisted and I grabbed her arm instead. At this point things escalated very quickly and she began throwing around the word "abuse" and telling me she was going to call the cops, or my parents, or whomever would listen.

I recovered frame (is that right? Still learning the terminology) and told her to do it. See if I stick around for a wife who calls the cops for something so petty. I decided to go for broke and we had "the talk" about everything that's been bothering me. I explained that sex was part of marriage and if she was going to call the cops on me, make me do everything, AND give me zero sex I was not going to be around much longer. I explained that ALL men want sex, and some just pull the nice guy routine to inch their way into the panties.

Apparently she thinks I'm a pig and that not all men are like this. I told her to ask around and see who wants a wife who doesn't put out, but she's convinced I'm just an asshole. I have no idea if she was just hurt (emotionally) and decided to try and piss me off or what, but the logic seemed lost on her.

What can I do? We have here a career woman who makes nearly twice as much as me. I'm a decent looking guy and get flirted with often enough, but she completely believes I'm loyal. She does have a hormonal issue that is confirmed by a doctor, but she's dragging her feet big time. She can't begin treatment until she is done breast-feeding our second, who is one now.

I've got a crazy, hormonal, damaged wife and I'm at the end of my rope. I believe she sees that and our general relationship is better, but sex is completely off the table. Last time was five months ago when I paid for a hotel room for our anniversary. I did bring that up tonight and told her I shouldn't have to pay for sex with my wife, and that she isn't a whore.

Do I need to be patient? Have I hurt my goals by talking it out more? I knew this would be slow but jacking off to porn three times a week is really fucking old. I've almost wasted my youth with a woman (girl?) who has rejected it, and I want some real sex before 30. Actual divorce is off the table, although I'm really open to some dread game. My kids mean too much to me to share them with some beta asshole my wife drags into our family afterwards.

*EDIT: The biggest suggestion by far was to go to the gym. I'm going to do this, but my schedule is fucking crazy so it will be hard. I'm going to refer to this thread often as inspiration.

Second seemed to be getting a hobby. I do woodworking and homebrewing for fun. I'm also a classically trained musician and play in a few groups locally. Yes, I play a fuck-ton of video games as well and I'm going to cut back. I've stopped drinking except socially and I need to let go of porn. After so long it's a crutch that will take some self-control to get away from. I have a good group of male friends, but my wife wants to be in on everything. She gets very jealous when I go out without her. I need to do this more often.

Many people suggested I get a job. I'm a Network Specialist. I've pulled myself up from being just a hard labor mill-worker to a senior level IT specialist through just sheer ambition and hard work. I put her through college with that ambition back when I operated a small business building/repairing computers in my living room while working two other jobs. I do not have a higher education, but I get paid well for my region. She is in the medical field, and simply gets paid more. I am seriously considering taking online classes.

Several people also mentioned that I don't do enough around the house. My wife works 3x12's, so she does most of the housework because she's home 4 days a week. I pitch in where I can, and I could do more. This is something I can work on, but I am not a stay-at-home Dad as suggested. I play and read to my kids every day, and they are the highest priority in my life.

The hormone issue is real. The doctor said she has the lowest testosterone level he's ever seen. This was caused by birth control she began taking a month before we got married. It was almost like a light switch went off, and even after switching birth control it stayed off. We have gone to the doctor before, but they missed it. The treatments are simple but she is an emotional wreck weaning this kid off the boob. I'm trying not to push it, but I've waited so fucking long at this point. Being sensitive to her emotional state and attempting TRP is a tight-rope.

Some said I was an asshole for getting physical at all with her. You are correct. I've never hit her or left a mark, but due to her abusive past any touch seems to be a huge deal. I should know better, and I should have ignored her entirely. It feels like this bitter anger fills me up and I have to say something. Then I use any small excuse to explode and confront her with the sex issue. This is wrong, and I know it, but that's what this is about right? Self-improvement. Channeling that anger into lifting should help.

Thanks to everyone who gave me constructive information to work with. It's amazing what a great community this sub has for supporting struggling men. To everyone else that either attacked me (and I'm not talking tough love) or told me to rape my wife, fuck you.
