am female. My ex looks like a hobbit who'd steal all yo' rings, he went after a prettier girl in the group before going after me. In our group, in terms of looks in ranking there is a prettty girl who is in a LTR, she is #1 hot stuff. Second is the girl my ex tried with and then there is.... me. So he went after #2 before trying with me. I obliged. We're both the uglies of the group but he's a funny cunt.

There's some other guy who I was trying to meet up with. I don't know how he looks, but he says he looks like a child's cartoon drawing. As in he thinks he's really ugly. I know what kind of SMV I deserve - other 4s. But I can't get excited about 4s. I can't feel attracted to them and I can't fuck them without ambivalence. So I just don't fuck to begin with.

Nearly all of my male friends have ridiculous standards that rival the ridiculousness of my female friends. I think everyone is entitled to their own standards, whether they’re ridiculous or not, but my buddy said tonight that he’s “Not attracted to women with very straight hair”. I should mention that my friends are all young and attractive, college aged, and are able to date and hookup with women when they’re interested. It seems that everyone I’ve met has some sort of feature to be picky about.

I have known some men who claim unreasonably high standards. Usually though, it's just an excuse not to pursue a certain girl because they're afraid of rejection. The moment any mildly attractive woman shows them a slight bit of attention they drop everything they're holding and do everything to get with her. Guys who say they have high standards are usually full of shit.

I know a few girls around my age (29) who are known for being picky. One of them recently showed me a conversation where she claimed to be "dumping" some guy. However, in the conversation, it was pretty clear that the guy had been "Too busy" to see her a long time. So she was basically ragequitting. And this makes me think that all the guys she talked about "Dumping" actually was her trying to convince herself that she wasn't being ditched. She's probably suffering from "Guys who want sex from me but don't want a relationship"-syndrome thanks to online dating.

Conclusion: Anyone who talks about their "standards" and how "picky" they are, are usually full of shit.

My ex had unreasonable standards when it came to weight. When we got to know each other, I weighed 56kg at 170cm (that is on the lower end of a healthy, "normal weight" BMI), and he told me that I was about as "big" as he would go, and he wouldn't go for women who were bigger than me. He also gave examples of what he would consider an ideal figure, which were all underweight women.

An ex-friend of mine had unreasonably high standards when it came to planning get-togethers. He'd expect us to skip our hobbies for meeting (which was usually one or two hours per week where each of us couldn't make it), because his hobby was more important and he could not possibly skip one of the six workout sessions he had per week (or reschedule it, since he worked out alone anyway). From what I gathered, he did the same thing with his girlfriends later on. He was also the type of guy who would go to parties all of the time, get extremely drunk to the point where his friends had to stop him from trying to cheat on his girlfriend, and would then complain when his gf asked him to maybe drink a little less. In general, he would complain about his gfs quite a lot, because due to his personality he wasn't able to date a woman with high self-esteem (they wouldn't put up with his bullshit), but it annoyed him when his gfs had low self-esteem or insecurities.

My standards and capabilities rarely meet these days & I wish I was like my old housemate who was happy putting his dick into anything that moved.
