It occurred to me lately that to become MGTOW is the same, in essence, as those totally normal women who just abandon all active attempts to end their sexual celibacy.

The reason MGTOW post online about this is because it's an unnatural thing for males to do. Therefore, as it's so contrary to their actual felt instincts, they need to talk themselves into the course of action of disavowing all attempts to obtain sexual partnership.

(As an aside, I have noted that I can repeat "I am not a MGTOW" until I'm blew in the face, and still all the replies will be "what pisses me off about you MGTOWs...")

But it's really a very simple equation. The number of women who are functionally deliberately celibate is vastly greater than their male counterparts.

Ergo, for every woman who is essentially deliberately celibate for all practical purposes, there is a man who is going to be celibate, regardless of what he wants.

So, what explains this huge cohort of women who basically only use their libidos for masturbation and reject any real relationship with a living person?

It's obviously nothing new. Women who reject sex are as old as civilization itself. But in the old days, most women could always say they have too little resources to risk getting pregnant.

Is it just terror of rejection? A preference for a sexless life rather than the agony of two or three men saying "no"?
