Anyone else think he's cheating on her? Even some of worst LVM I've known have enough sense to show up for things like this. I mean, they know the bar's on the floor, so it's an easy win for them to pick up some fast food, come over, and zone out on the couch (the bare minimum, really).
This guy clearly gives zero shits, though, and this would've been a great opportunity for him to visit his other girlfriend.

As someone who suffers with ovarian cysts and have had them rupture, I can assure you itโs the most painful and frightening experience, and sheโs totally justified in feeling abandoned/hurt here.
Heโs shown her what he really is. Heโs not someone that can be relied upon, and Iโd guarantee if she ever had an bad accident or was diagnosed with a serious illness he would not be there to support her.
She needs to dump his ass.
[โ]43rdaccountFDS Newbie30 points31 points32 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
i didnt know cysts could rupture, is this just when they get too big? if you're too physically active?
[โ]Thestral-glow6FDS Newbie37 points38 points39 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I have severe endometriosis which is most likely whatโs caused mine (only recently diagnosed by a gynaecologist after years of being told โyouโve just got heavy periods, thereโs nothing wrong with you by my GPโ) the larger they are the more likely theyโll burst. Iโm also a landscaper so Iโm super active which can also be a greater risk of causing them to rupture.
[โ]43rdaccountFDS Newbie16 points17 points18 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
damn sorry to hear that. thanks for sharing. i have a medium sized cyst right now but didnt want to go through surgery bc the twisting and heavy periods have subsided (only a 1-2 times a year now), but my GYN didnt mention cyst rupture, they were just talking abt how surgery is easier sooner than later. i'll read more about it.
[โ]Thestral-glow6FDS Newbie12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think, in the long run itโs worth dealing with it sooner. Whatever you decide though I wish you all the bestโบ๏ธ

One of mine ruptured during sex; another ruptured for no reason I could determine.
On the whole, I find the medical industry's attitude toward ovarian cysts very dismissive. Mine hurt like hell, made it painful to work out or have sex, and the doctors were just "So are you trying to have a baby? If not, just deal with it."
An ex-girlfriend had a blood cyst rupture and went to the hospital, they told her it was normal ovulation pain. She insisted it wasn't. Finally they opened her up and found it was bleeding into her abdominal cavity.
[โ]43rdaccountFDS Newbie0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
holy shit thats horrible. so fucked up, especially with your ex... thanks for sharing. in my experience too my GYN was dismissive especially when I was a teenager. it wasnt until i had a really bad one at school once where i was passing out and vomiting and had diarrhea from the pain that they brought up removing the cysts and i went through it
one of the cysts grew back again and GYN wants to remove it. the thing is i felt really weak after surgery, it really sucked to have to stop working out, so i dont want to go through it again right now. thankfully the frequency of really painful episodes is way down (not having penetrative sex lately) and im very busy these days, so could not afford taking time off

It's pitiful how many women are out there who choke down every need, want, and expectation of a man because the man called her weak or dependent. Most men have no problems asking for coddling from women. It's absolutely a double standard.

This is a prime example of why sometimes it truly is better to be single. Yes, she'd still be going through a difficult medical crisis, however, she wouldn't be dealing with the added stress of her inconsiderate boyfriend being MIA. He's only made the situation worse, not better.

A man that cannot show even the slightest concern or empathy over his partner being hospitalized is literally a liability. Showing care and support in such circumstances was part of the job and he is taking up that space for someone in her life capable of being that for her.

Let's not forget that when women get sick, men leave. POS babies.
Date:November 10, 2009Source:Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research CenterSummary:A woman is six times more likely to be separated or divorced soon after a diagnosis of cancer or multiple sclerosis than if a man in the relationship is the patient, according to a study that examined the role gender played in so-called "partner abandonment." The study also found that the longer the marriage the more likely it would remain intact.

Honestly, test men about this. Say after a bit of dating you're sick, in pain, etc. See how they react. Scrote goes " :( sorry to hear that, get well soon" block him. Childish. All HV people have the decency and empathy to show concern. If he actually asks whats going on and if he can help, at least its a possible good sign, but it must be consistent.

He specifically told her he believes in standing on ones own two feet. How would that come up in such a way that she thought it might apply to her hospital stay? As opposed to him randomly mentioning it as part of his right wing economic theory.
So yeah, he told her loud and clear- do not count on me.

Ugh. I had an ectopic pregnancy and my tube ruptured. I was rushed to the ER in an ambulance and I nearly died. I got emergency surgery to remove my tube and I lost my baby :(
I didn't hear a word from my ex. NOTHING. He didn't even ask me if I was okay. Complete radio silence while I lied in a hospital bed dealing with it on my own. He was active and posting on Facebook but he completely ignored my messages for DAYS. He didn't help out with the cost of the ambulance or surgery either. I had to pay for it all. He said he didn't know how to deal with it so it was easier for him to say and do nothing...

Can i ask if it was an ex husband or boyfriend? I am kind of shocked. I had to come back to ask
[โ]PrinnykinFDS Newbie1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
He was a boyfriend. Thank goodness I didn't marry him. I spoke to the woman he dated after me and he did exactly the same thing to her. She didn't have an ectopic pregnancy, but as soon as she got pregnant he turned cold and he left the country! She said she didn't want to be a single mum so she got an abortion. He didn't pay for a thing and completely ignored her. The poor girl was an absolute mess.
Thank Goodness honestly that none of you have his kids or are married to him. The fact that he got 2 women pregnant tell me he either careless with condoms or refuses to use them. Either way he shouldn't be having sex. I am really glad your free of him. I hope the rest of ur life is good.
