Would you date man who "cheated" his way to good looks?

I’ve gone on dates with a couple guys who had plastic surgery. It happens

EDIT - and that’s an extreme. Almost every man I know gets their hair colored (some even get keratin), many go tanning at least before vacation, teeth whitening, waxing, etc. I’m not sure where this “guys just brush their teeth and go” thing came from, but it’s not true. And if you want to test it, go to a party and tell people you’re an aesthetician - when I share that, men come out of the woodwork to ask questions they’re embarrassed to ask their friends

As for me, I’ve never had surgery, but I love me some IPL and Botox. My skincare routine is pared back for COVID budget reasons, but still involves 7 different products daily, with a few more intense ones a couple times a week

I don't think I'd care too much; I wear makeup and have a pretty rigorous skincare routine. I'm half-Korean though, and plenty of dudes there get plastic surgery so that might colour my outlook on things.

I'd certainly wonder why the hell he'd be dating me, but eh.

Heck, some of my earliest crushes involved guys whose appearances were kind of inherently artificial, because I was into the whole punk/goth look.

Don’t care, not having kids. That said I know a guy who had a LOT of work done...he was in his late 50s I guess...facelift, eye lift, toupee, skin as orange as Trump. He wasn’t trying to look good as much as look young, and it was really off putting. Then again, so was he as a person, but he had a lot of money so I guess people lied to him that it was working.

Sure. No reason not to, unless he's one of those people who're addicted to plastic surgery or have really deep insecurities to the point where they are convinced something is always "imperfect". But if it's nothing like that, it's perfectly fine.

I don't use anything to cheat because I like how I naturally look, but won't negatively judge those who, idk...go tanning, use botox, have liposuction, whatever.

I mean I think it depends if the man looks like a completely different person I probably will only date him but if he just gets normal upkeep such as coloring his hair or whitening his teeth thats fine I might even be able to except toupee of sorts or a nose job but if he full on is unrecognizable from his former self issa no for me.

As long as it looks decent and well done, why not. You tell me you would prefer a man with a receding hairline or a man that had a hair transplant, most people know the answer and please don't be hypocritical.

Lol yes. My parents were both very attractive in their 20's and I consider myself 100% average-looking. Genes are not everything.

Also, many of my gay male friends use makeup and it makes them look hot af to me. I don't care how it got there. Attractive is attractive.

I'll likely go for a facelift or some form of surgery as I really start to age. If he wanted it and it made him feel better about himself, why not?

Depends on what it was. Some people for instance really hate and fixate on their nose, sometimes because they broke it and it healed wrong. Then they get it done and are happy. Something "minor" like that is fine. But if they were getting multiple ones then it seems superficial, or maybe insecure. It depends on the surgery and why and how it looks.

I'm not a woman but I think cheating to get good looks (like plastic surgery, rogain, hair implants, liposuction, etc) only matters when you have kids with the person since they will likely inherit whatever unfortunate genetic configuration the partner has.

I'd probably think less of him because IMO, caring excessively about one's appearance is feminine and I don't like girly men.

OTOH, if he had the kind of job where appearance was important, I'd be more inclined to cut him some slack.
