I've recently binged FDS and I mostly like it and find it useful. I don't agree with everything, but, I agree with some fundamental principles like:

  • making men wait for sex helps to filter out men who only want sex.

  • Having higher standards is okay, and it's okay not to give guys a chance, or time, if they don't meet your standards.

I don't feel like men owe me a relationship or owe me their time, but, I also don't owe them sex. I believe it's perfectly reasonable to choose to be alone until I like what I see. If my standards are "too high", then whatever, I'll just go without sex or relationships, plenty of people are happy without that.

Now, I perceive what I just said to be perfectly reasonable. Are there men who feel, that in isolation, this is an unreasonable position to take? Are there men who feel like, because they need or want sex, I (or other women, or women as a group), are obligated in some way to have lower standards?

My question is direct at men, since I know directly from men what their perspective is, and since I already where I can go for women's perspective.
