OP, mistakenly thinking that Reddit may benefit from hearing masculine-positive advice, posted an image on r/ getmotivated. Here's the quote:

"Every day, a man must build. If he does not, he will succumb to instant gratification in the form of alcohol, drugs, meaningless sex and masturbation, fantasy found in video games, and other foolish activities. Some men build their career; some a relationship. Some build their hobby, and others their body and strength. Few build their knowledge and fewer build a passion. Many men go days, months, even years without building anything because they're waiting until they "feel" like it. Great men put feelings aside and start building every day."

It's a great quote, right? And we at TRP understand that this basically describes the sum of RedPill philosophy. Get fit. Get a respectable career. Don't fall into beta distractions that hold you down. Be strong in body and mind, don't let anyone walk over you.

Well, poor OP is about to get a big surprise at exactly how proudly unmotivated the denizens of Reddit are. Here are some of the highest comments whining about the image.

What is it with GetMotivated in finding motivation by making comparisons with themselves and inferior people? It's almost as if their self esteem thrives on knowing that they are better than someone else rather than reflect upon themselves.

Hey dumbass, LIFE is about being competitive and ranking yourself with others. It's how your fucking ancestors evolved. They looked at others' food stockpiles and said "He has more food than me, I need to double my efforts and get more food". It's why you're even alive in the first place - your ancestors all the way back to microscopic organisms and protozoa were engaged in a competition to survive. It's hard coded into our genes. But sure, sit there on your extra-large living room chair and roll your eyes at the men working hard to rise to the top of the pack.

Can the author even see the ground from atop that horse?

Yes, the quote says that great men should make something of themselves and achieve greatness through great deeds. Clearly that is a sign of being on a "high horse". We should all be like these commenters instead - posting on adviceanimals and making updates to their Tumblr blog.

Why is masterbating and video games not a hobby?

I'll give you video games, fine; if done in moderation it's a hobby. But masturbation... dude, if you're making it a hobby instead of an occasional release, you got issues. Masturbation reduces the drive to have actual relationships and qualities attractive to actual women. It can quickly become an addiction.

What kind of bullshit is this? Is this motivating? Telling people all these "foolish" activities are meaningless? Just horrible.

Well, they are meaningless by definition. Things like drinking to excess, zoning out in front of the television for 4-5 hours a day, and masturbating furiously out of frustration are not productive activities. They have 0 meaning outside of extremely momentary and distractive pleasures. Only the bluepillest of bluepills would say that gives you "meaning" in life.

Anyway. This is solid proof of why so many guys on Reddit are stuck in their ways. It takes a lot of mental energy to even explain to these people why being a man is important. My recommendation is not to even bother unless you know they'll be receptive. Just use that time to go to the gym and sculpt yourself into a better person instead.
