Note: I am a man, I just find this sort of thing interesting. We all know that liberal feminism and hookup culture have made it really easy for guys who can get laid to get sex, and it bleeds into men being less likely to want to commit to a serious relationship. No, it's not new for men to be this way, but it's easy to see that since the advent of dating apps this facet has increased considerably.

Why should a man commit to a woman for sex if he can get sex from her regardless? I'm not saying men are heartless creatures, but most people operate from a "what's the most I can get for the least amount of effort" strategy. Not just men, but I would guess men are more likely to do this.

One counterpoint I received recently was "any girl can still get a boyfriend if she wants one", but is this really true? And more importantly, will the guy be High Value? There are certain market factors at play. I don't think there is an abundance of High Value men in any sense of the term. There is a lot of competition for them.

I am not anti-men or anti-women. Just curious what people think about the relationship marketplace.
