It turns out he doesn't feel confident in the relationship. For 2017-18 we fought a lot. I'm a flight attendant and he was living in Chicago, while I was living/working in NYC. I would hop on a flight to spend my days off with him, then fly back the night before I had to work. This set up left me insanely depressed, and I'll be honest, I probably wasn't a fun partner.

Because of how depressed I've been and how much we've fought, he doesn't think our dynamic is "solid" enough to introduce me to his social media. Because even though it's been 5 years, "it hasn't been 5 good years."

So this dude now has her convinced that it's HER fault that she's not on his social media, and she is buying it! Good lord I feel bad for her. In one of the comments, she made it clear that she feels lucky to date someone like him because she comes from a different socioeconomic class, and she doesn't have a college degree. She will be left in the dust and will feel like it's her fault for not being good enough. This is just heartbreaking that she has such low self respect and esteem.

edited to add: in the comments she reveals that they also live together, and she's moving to a new state with him for his residency.

According to her update, her BF thinks that their dynamic "isn't solid enough for social media." and he doesn't have any confidence in the relationship? Wtf does that even mean first of all, how "strong" does a relationship have to be to post a picture with someone? And after 5 years? OP also said that she used to fly back and forth on her days off from being a flight attendant (which is a pretty tiresome job I'm sure) to go see him in a different state even though she would be tired, and then go fly back to work the next day. Imagine giving up all your free time and rest for a man who probably didn't even make an inch of effort to come see you. And based on how she described his attitude he probably didn't even appreciate her effort either and instead has made her feel like it was her fault for their bad relationship??? Clownery.

When I tell you I feel so bad for this girl.

Fucking manospherians plot this ALL the time. "Never get married just date as long as possible then upgrade"

And cool girls want to call you names for wanting investment and titles up front.

Five precious years out of her twenties and she can't even tag him on IG

He is marketing for the wife and life he wants. She was the practice girlfriend. She was here for real and he never was and THIS is why FemaleDatingStategy thrives. This is the typical fuckshit screwing women over and causing irreparable damage. No matter how much women try to accommodate these guys and their issues just to have a relationship, it is never, ever enough.

I feel so bad for her and all the women this happens to. I hope all the warnings sinks in and she saves herself. She still has a chance to start over

I'm not optimistic though.
