We all know that looks play a strong role in terms of a man's attraction towards a woman, whether it's for hookups or long-term relationships. That preference might diminish as he gets older (40+), but most men first need to find a woman physically attractive before he decides to pursue her for any sort of relationship.

Currently, society encourages young women to use their youth and beauty to "find themselves" and postpone marriage / long-term relationships until they have established themselves in a career. Even prominent female figures such as Sheryl Sandberg encourage young women to sleep with the bad boys until they feel like settling down.

Now, assuming the average woman establishes herself in a career around the age of 30-35 and looks to settle down then, she finds herself in a bit of a predicament. Women who don't diet and exercise regularly smartly will lose their natural beauty around that age. Genetics plays a role, yes, but external factors play a role as well. Most Western women are not encouraged to watch their weight and their feminine appearance and many Western foods are high in calories. Few women work in physically demanding jobs. Couple that with shorter heights in general and they end up looking fatter for the same weight gain compared to men. Few women know enough about exercise to maintain a good physique. In fact, with more women subscribing to the fat acceptance movement, they're almost encouraged to NOT work on their looks to be attractive to a man.

In terms of careers / finances, many women choose professions where the salaries may not be as high as those that men choose. For example, teachers and nurses are mostly comprised of women. It may take ten or more years before someone in those professions can move up to the more senior roles where they can start earning six figures. Meanwhile, a man in a STEM career can likely be earning six figures many years before that. Additionally, with a low salary, it's likely a woman hasn't been able to make a significant dent on her student loans.

So now we move onto the idea of marriage. Even if he was largely ignored by women when younger, a man who ended up building himself up (moving up the corporate ladder, working out, improving his clothing style, etc.), likely considered that his future partner would be at least somewhat attractive. He likely sees himself with someone who presents herself well and is someone he sees himself sleeping with (something he may have missed out on while younger). Not saying that he's looking for a trophy wife, but someone who he can at least see himself wanting to sleep with on a regular basis. So if someone built himself up from a 4/10 to a 7/10, he likely wants someone who's at least a 6/10.

That is without accounting for wanting children. A successful, attractive, established 35 year old man would rather choose a 25 year old over a 35 year old woman if he wants to have children. Not saying that a 35 year old woman cannot have children, but the odds are against her in terms of successfully carrying a baby to term.

Lastly, due to learning about female nature (e.g., RP and MGTOW), many reasonable men are either opting out of marriage/long-term commitments, or avoiding women altogether. So there may be 6+/10 men choosing to avoid marriage, leaving many women SOL in terms of finding a quality partner for long-term commitment.

Given all this, do you foresee a shift in what society encourages women to do while young? Should marriage-minded women be encouraged to find an established man before the age of 27 (potentially with men who may be more than five years older than her)? Should they be encouraged to wait until they're 40 or so they can find men who are also 40+ who connects with them emotionally more so than physically? Should they be encouraged to focus more on their physical health while young and single to maintain their figure/appearance into their later years? Will there be more of a push for women to pursue high-salary careers so that they can take care of themselves if they remain single later in life?
