On public transit, men fidget like actual toddlers, they’ll hum, “ahem ahemm”, wiggle and tap their feet and shit, PRAYING for me to glance at them.

If I’m waiting for a train they’ll just so happen to stand near me despite the yards and yards of empty waiting area.

If they’re on the opposite platform they’ll just happen to decide to wait DIRECTLY opposite where I’m standing.

When I’m walking down the street in one direction and they’re walking in the opposite, they’ll move over so that they’re walking directly towards me just so I’ll HAVE to look at them and then they’ll move back into their lane as we get closer (or as soon as they see me glaring).

Or if they’re standing further down the side walk, they’ll move so that they’re standing RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the side walk like crazies so that I have to walk around them.

They are absolutely desperate for eye contact or any kind of acknowledgment and will employ any method possible to get it, from pirouetting in front of you to cutting you for rejecting them.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone, or more like the gaslight zone 🥁 when people say women are attention seeking. McScuse me, WHOM is attention seeking????
