The only common thread between all rapes at Universities is NOT fraternities - it is the Universities! We should suspend all Universities! Clearly Universities support/facilitate rape at Universities.

Please remember that she did report to the university a few short months after the alleged rape. The real issue is that the university ignored her report completely. There is something not right when someone reports to to an administrator that she was ganged raped at a fraternity and the university takes no action. The university needs to recognize that they did a horrible job handling this situation. Their reaction is an attempt to close the barn doors once the horses have already fled.

I think you missread. The university suspended all fraternity PARTIES. I am sure the women who are not radfems are allready colluding to have parties hosted at sorrorities. At the end of the day, feminists are a bunch of women whom can not fit in socially and see in feminism a tool to make everyone as miserable as themselves.

I didn't like the way they describe this violent gang-rape, and then trot out the same 1-in-5 statistic as if this is the same thing happening to 20% of women..

but then other parts sounded pretty reasonable IMO.

Just to point out a simple fact that everyone seems to be missing, fraternities AND sororities are being affected. So it's not just the mens groups, it's the womens groups as well.

Men are second guessing marriage after seeing so many older men getting destroyed in divorce courts, or at least putting it off until older age, so fewer and fewer women are finding husbands in college, which is the main reason why their parents pay tuition. Men on campuses across the country are even getting too intimidated to buy a girl a drink, since there's now a lot of stories of girls making rape allegations the next morning by groping for any reason they can if they feel any shame or didn't find it as pleasurable as they'd hoped or simply don't think in retrospect that the guy was worthy of her golden pussy.

Perhaps one of the reasons college is getting so expensive is that they are trying to model themselves into romantic get aways with full time professional landscapers, advance athletic facilities, and beautiful architecture. They're trying to be the place where young people (who give no fucks about education) go to get married. That's one reason why there's grade inflation: so more kids can stay four years, thus ensuring more eligible bachelors and bachelorettes.

But if guys don't want to hit on women because they're worried they might get kicked out of school, maybe they'll just start pursuing education. In which case, all of these bloated campus amenities will become unnecessary luxuries that don't warrant the price tag. Perhaps we'll see the emergence of more light-weight, but reputable universities that produce genuinely skilled graduates, and perhaps these universities will be more dedicated to creating the kinds of knowledge workers the culture needs, rather than just offering courses because kids with unlimited access to student loans will pay for them. In that case, it would mostly be the male dominated fields that these universities focus on.

So, to boil this all down to a core: a lot of tuition fees go towards turning the campus into a love nest. If students aren't finding love on campus any more, then hopefully those features that facilitate finding a mate on campus (such as the beautiful landscaping and intellectual-hobbies-turned-majors because they're less boring and thereby appeal to women) will start to get pruned. Either established universities will change their strategy, or a space for new competitors who offer high quality a la carte education will come to dominate. By trying to become breeding grounds and letting in anyone with a credit line, universities have lost their worth. And that was fine so long as they actually were breeding grounds. But they aren't any more. So something will change.

The University is the real criminal here, they are in the wrong. Not the girl who was potentially the victim but the college who instead of working with authorities to bring the offending party to justice, acted irrationally and has adversely effected a good deal of students who were in no way involved

i hate to sound crass, but if the young woman wanted justice, she should have reported the alleged crime to the police.

instead, she went through the publicity route and went to the media. now 3500 students have to suffer, in addition to the students who aren't even allowed to clear their names.

I had heard that they weren't suspended, just the social events they'd have. And most of that time, students will be on winter break. So it's not a huge deal or anything.

Good thing Fraternities are secret societies by their very nature and the school can't effectively ban them.

Besides, they are banned until Jan 9. That's 47 days. I'm not going to get upset about 47 days, 14 of which the school will probably be on winter break and there won't be any students anyways.

Why don't these fraternities declare independence and establish their own university? What's a university anyway? Why not do something radical and new and simply create your own radical alternative? That's how they started in the first place anyway. I'm sure you'd find a Russian or Chinese University to do the exams - and then you could cut the prices and tell all the feminists and assorted wasters to go fuck themselves.
