Congratulations! I have another 7 months left. Even though I'm paying a ton in spousal support, I still have more discretionary income, I'm investing harder, and have more financial freedom than during the marriage.

I have 2 spousal support payments left. I have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars since 2017.

She is still as miserable to be around as she was when we were married. The good news is I tell her to fuck off and get to watch her meltdown, knowing that there isn’t anything she can do about it.

She tried to petition the court for another 8 years of support, even while making $150,000 a year. The judge politely told her the exact same thing.

My ex wants alimony too, but she's LIVING WITH the guy she left me for. She's out of her fucking mind. She also wants a 65/35 split of the assets. She was never materialistic, until she decided to leave.

It's a sad state of affairs for us men, that we celebrate the end of paying alimony. That's a huge chunk of our life's work and then some. I'm glad you got out ur relationship, sad that u had to pay a lot (it's our fate as men) and hopeful that you will see better days ahead. Stay strong and know that as green Goblin once said.... Nice!! My 10 years was cut to 6 years as she thought she was going to get more, and when the state calculator told her no, we upped the maintenance per month for less time. 3 yrs, 9 months to go for me!! lol
